  1. What a great day for a match! Thanks again to everyone who made my wife and daughter feel welcome - they had a GREAT time!
  2. We're all loaded up and ready to go! We should be there pretty close to 9am for an early start. My daughter put 100 rds through my G30 .22LR conversion kit today and did great!
  3. Great - Sunday morning would work perfectly for us.  We're really looking forward to it!
  4.   I've talked to my daughter and she would like to shoot with/get help from Andrea if she's willing.  Any idea when she'll be there, or could you send her my contact info so we can coordinate?  My email is mstennett AT twlakes DOT net.  Thanks again for all your help with this -
  5. Let me talk to her about Andrea. She may be intimidated by shooting with someone that good (no matter how nice and helpful she is!). If Sunday is usually a slower day we may come out then. I'll see what she wants to do and go easy. I'm all excited about this, but the last thing I want to do is pressure her and make this something she "has" to do. Thanks again for all your help -
  6. Thank you again! And thanks to CatsEye for jumping on the bandwagon. If you prefer she shoot your ammo (being a known quantity) I understand, but I don't mind bringing factory ammo if it would help even the slightest bit. The practice bay would be perfect - I told her about your offer, and her first question was "can I try it first before I have to shoot it in the match?" In her mind this match is hard and heavy competition, and altough she'd never admit it she is afraid of showing up and looking like she doesn't know what she's doing. I've tried to reassure her how friendly and helpful everyone always is and that the day is about having fun and being safe instead of "competition". Thanks again for helping me prove that to her -
  7. You sir, are the man - thank you! Is there a particular time we should come that would be easier for you? I know you'll have a lot going on this weekend and don't want to add to your stress at the busiest time.
  8. My 16-yr old daughter is really struggling learning to shoot my G21 for this match (I know - well, duh!).  She's done pretty well in the past with my G30 and .22LR conversion kit, but the 230gr full power hardball is inducing quite a flinch for her and making this not very fun.  I'm afraid all I have are .45's.   I don't suppose anyone has a spare 9mm Glock they'd be willing to share with her for the match?  I'd bring factory ammo and pay a reasonable rental fee if you're willing.  She'd like to give this a try, but I don't want the experience to be so frustrating and punishing for her she never wants to shoot again.
  9. Interesting - I'm trying to talk my wife and daughter into coming out for this. This would be a great first match for them both.
  10. Dangit - wife's truck broke down so I spent the day working on that instead of shooting the pistol. Maybe next time!
  11. I might actually make this one! Have you guys started soliciting Beretta for match sponsorships and range participation yet? What a great development!
  12. Dangit - hate that I have to miss this one. I'd have loved to shot with another "real man" - ;-)
  13. Does it make any difference that March has 5 Sundays?  Is 3-gun on March 2nd?  Hoping to bring the FAL out to play again -
  14. Lebanon Gun Shop used to have them as well - but it's been awhile since I've been through there.  http://www.lebanongunshop.com/
  15. Glad I can be partly to blame, Mark! It was good to see and shoot with you again. Call it penance for whimping out on Heavy Metal! ;-)
  16. I had a great time today, and enjoyed visiting a new range. Thanks for all the hard work!
  17. You have to AIM a shotgun?!?!? ;-)
  18. Awesome - too bad all I have is an IC. I'll bring the #6 shot just in case. Can I do a slug selection drill if the targets don't fall??? ;-)
  19. I'm in too. It'll be my first trip to Manchester, and I'm looking forward to it! 100rds of .308, .45, and 12 gauge in one afternoon? Sounds like fun!
  20. I forgot - any buck or slugs needed, or is it bird shot only?
  21. Hmmm - I'm very tempted! How many stages? Will I need a dump pouch or can empty magazines hit the ground?
  22. Funniest part was where she said she was disappointed with her results. Then you look at the charts and she finished FOURTH nationally! That just shows how many levels above me she is - I'd be thrilled with fourth. Well done,
  23. Dangit - I'm out.  One day I'll make the Rock, or die trying!!!
  24. Ammo prices and availability got me down, along with a busier than usual schedule. This looks like a great match - I hope I can make the schedule work out. You guys might have to remind me which end the bullets come out of...
