I'm pretending I didn't hear that LA LA LA LA LA LA.... -

With Brownell's do I just send them an email referencing my account with the pdf of my license attached? Their email contact form on their site doesn't appear to have a way to add attachments. -

Yeah, ok. I was looking mainly at dies and presses. Now I'm seeing some discounts on other stuff. Bullets, tools, that sort of thing. -

Got an email back from them welcoming me to the dealer network. Logged on, prices said "Dealer Price", but they were the same as the price displayed when I wasn't logged in. Even went to another computer to make sure it wasn't a cookie issue or something, checked a few items before logging in, then logged in and looked at the same items. They were listed as "Dealer Price", but it was the same as the price before i logged in. -

Yeah, wish I had known this before I sent Midway a copy of my license. I got approved and logged on hoping to see some good deals, but the prices were all the same from what I could see. I was pretty disappointed with that. As far as Brownell's goes, I haven't been able to find info on how to send them a copy. Do I just fax or email it to them with a note telling them my account info or what? I also sent a copy to Southern Ohio Gun, just waiting to hear back from them, and mailed a hard copy to J&G Sales this morning. Can't remember if I contacted AIM yet or not. I have a list at home, can't remember if I marked them off or not. Anybody else I need to look at? Just starting to look into reloading also, so anybody that might give discounts in that area would be super. -
So how do I go about getting all these great deals from Midway, Brownells, etc. that everybody is always talking about? I know I have to make copies and sign ONLY the copies, but where do I go from there? E-mail, fax, snailmail, what? Let the advice flow freely....

You misspelled "hypocrite".

Welcome to TGO! And thank you for your service

Why is it always Florida? Weird.

I bought their kit a few weeks ago and made it myself. Had all the stuff lying around to make the kydex press, so it made sense from a cost standpoint. Also, I carry a Stoeger Cougar, and it is hard to find sometimes, so DIY molding was the way to go. If they had been running that deal then, though, it might have been a different story. I looked at the Crossbreed at a LGS, and the quality on the parts for the Old Faithful is very comparable.

Wow, my old boss (since retired) used to talk about that being his favorite. He was the only one I ever heard of using it. I may need to pick up a bottle and give it a try.

ooh, I've been drooling over those for quite a while myself. You'll have to give us the full rundown once you get it. I ran across one in a pawnshop a few months ago that was several years old. Didn't look at it in great detail, but I would guess it was at least 15-20yo. Beat all to crap, which is why I didn't buy it. But I agree, it felt REALLY good in my hand. I like an all steel frame, nice and heavy, and this one fit nice. Congrats! EDIT: Just looked it up, Jericho 941 was only introduced in 1990, so it was probably more in the 15yo range. Beat up as it was, now I'm really glad I didn't buy it. It obviously had a hard life!

Absolutely! Pay it forward....

Wow, this is unbelieveable. You're actually the second person to offer. Dolomite, I'm blown away by the generosity of the people here in general. The bass guitar forum I belonged to didn't have people offering to send me stuff. I guess this means I've got to get my butt in gear a clear out a spot in the garage to get started. Looks like my weekend is planned for me.

So what is the difference? Is the Classic auto-indexing and the other is manual? Because that's not a big deal to me.

I am looking at getting started, but if I could afford RCBS gear, I wouldn't be asking about 20-dollar presses. I am actually leaning towards the Lee 4-hole press. Finding a used one would be even better, but that is proving to be a daunting task. At any rate, it will have to be a piece-at-a-time project.

Anybody have any experience with this? Might be ok as a starter for someone who only does one caliber or something. Opinions? http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/69795-1.html

Any info on it on the web? I did a Google search for "Ruby revolver" and "Ruby el-bair spain", but didn't turn up much. -
Help identify this revolver

Oh, I'm going to take it, no doubt. I just like to know what I have. I mean, that's one of the reasons we get into this hobby, right? And believe me, if it were a true "hand-me-down" I would never even CONSIDER getting rid of it except to leave/give it to my son. I have a Rohm 63 revolver my dad gave me that I would never sell because he, myself and my son all shot it together. It's the first gun my son ever shot. It's cheap, horribly inaccurate, and has a terrible trigger, but I love it nonetheless because of the sentimental value. Additionally, I have a 1943 Mauser P38 my grandfather brought back from WWII that would be my home defense weapon in my cardboard box under the bridge before I would give it up. But this gun doesn't fall into any of those categories. It's one he picked up at a show, or from one of his buddies on a whim, because he thought it looked cool at the time. My dad is one of those "collect 'em, keep 'em or trade 'em with your friends" kind of gun guys. Very few sentimental pieces in his collection because they usually don't stay around long enough. -
So I was talking to my dad last night, and he says "Hey, you like this old stuff. I got a gun you can have if you want it." So I said "Send me a picture." Here it is: Couple of close-ups: The only thing he knows about it is it says "Made in Spain" and "1926". I've done some digging, and while I have found quite a few Spanish revolvers from that period, I haven't been able to find this exact one. Anybody know what this is? What it might be worth?

What our instructor told us in our carry class was if your level of fear for yourself OR SOMEONE ELSE has risen to the point you believe THEIR LIFE OR YOURS is in danger you are justified. Still, it's good that he was able to defuse the situation without having to resort to bloodshed on his own part.

Yours is the one to which I was referring. May I say "Bravo"! But as I said, all purchases are on hold until the missus finds another job. Still have a house to run after all.
