  1. I just got out of the hospital, ol boys beat me pretty good and stole my Kroger Plus card and redeemed my gas points. Her name was Kelly, she’s a Sagittarius, and likes long walks on the beach. Come to find out her tire wasn’t really flat…..

    😂😂😂😂

  2. Farthest I’ve shot was 1,035 but the hits were with my friends gun. I ran out of ammo in my rifle trying to walk my shots in on that target so never hit the thousand with my rifle that day.
Last Sunday I shot all afternoon with my own rifle at 830 yards. We’d planned to do half mile but after getting down to shoot prone, realized there was a rise in front of us. Moved forward so we could set up and it ended up being 830 yards. Still had a lot of fun doing it and looking forward to going out to farther ranges.

The last few times I have been to Academy Sports, they have had a fair amount of defensive ammo some 9mm target ($20-$22 for a box of 50) and a whole lot of Winchester .223/5.56 (regular and green tip 5.56) as well as Frontier .223 and 5.56

Same here, been pretty nice to see. For a while they seemed to have a steady supply of Hornady ELDM 6.5 CM anytime I went in. For the past month and a half it’s been 6mm CM only and haven’t seen a single box of 6.5 CM in ELDM variant. Either I’m just missing it or they’re having a hard time getting it. I’d say the latter since it’s was always getting refreshed for the couple of months prior.

No, for the most part CB is dead. Many truckers have gone to HAM and some have gone to GMRS (or run both).
Even most of the off-road trail riding groups have gone to GMRS or HAM.

Last time I had a CB hooked up in my truck (a couple years ago) there was almost zero traffic on the air from mid KY down through mid Alabama. I was running 600~800 or so miles a week for work and would often make an entire days drive without hearing anyone when scanning the CB frequencies.

Wow, I didn’t realize they’d died off that much!

  5. I’ll be heading to St Louis Sunday basically driving into the path of the storm as it comes to us. Hopefully the roads are decent and I can avoid at least some people who don’t know they can’t drive on snow 😬

  6. I’ve been using a Lucky Duck Revolt for several years and really like it. I recently picked up a Foxpro X2S though and am looking forward to using it. So far I’ve only tinkered with it and had it out to call on one stand for about 20 minutes before we lost light. Had coyotes hollering all around us but no time left.

Me and little man went out a little while ago and he shot this doe. He's hunted about 30 minutes total this year, and has scored this and an 8 pointer. He thinks there isn't much to deer hunting.

My season sure hasn’t been like that! Haha But I also haven’t been able to get out this year like previous years. Congratulations to your son on the super fast successful hunting!

I ordered the Wraith HD 2-16x28 due to the increased field of view at closer distances.  It arrived today and I have just been out trying it for view and clarity.  When I decided which version I wanted I went to order and it just happened that they went on sale at 20 percent off so I got it for 390.00 + tax.  I realize this is a budget unit in the world of night scopes but I am very pleased so far.  Once adjusted, 25 to 150 yards is very clear and it appears that it would exceed that with no problem.  The supplied IR light worked fine for this range but I also have another more powerful weapon mount IR if needed sometime.  I plan to mount it and sight it in this week.  I hope TN adopts night hunting for yotes so I can justify going thermal down the road.  My Boston is doing well and will get a lot of stitches out in about a week.  I also learned during my vet visits that "Hydro Therapy" is an expensive term for rinsing with warm water.

First off, glad he’s getting better! And yeah vets tend to not be cheap in most cases but glad they’re around for sure.

Second, glad to hear your NV showed up and you’re enjoying it  I’m not sure which IR comes with that but I didn’t realize mine had adjustment and had it on flood and couldn’t figure out what was wrong. Tightened up the beam and BAM, huge difference. Hope you pop some yotes with it soon!

Well my little dog is healing up pretty good so far.  Still draining and on anti-biotics but he seems to be moving about and eating well.  I have been using the red light system when I let the dogs out at night.  I have seen quite a few critters of different kinds but no yotes as yet.  I just hit the buy button on a Wraith for the purpose of protection of my pets on my property.  If Tennessee ever legalizes night hunting for coyotes I will heed the advice of Alleycat72 and invest in a decent thermal scope.  I appreciate the input from everybody.

Glad to hear your dog is doing better! Congrats on the Wraith purchase. If you want to be able to take it on and off of your rifle check out this mount by ADM. An actual return to zero QD mount. Absolutely love it and it does what it says it will.
I just ordered my first thermal optic a couple days ago and it’s delivering tomorrow. I’ll have it in hopes of TN passing it, but can also go to other states and hunt until the.  I have family in Missouri and Texas so I have to plan some trips.
Give your dog a pat on the head for me and I hope that he’s back to 100% soon!
