  4. At the marina in Clarksville, anyone planning on going any one going to have a both there. I think it is the last weekend of the month, if anyone is going maybe it would make for good place for some of us in the area to get together and tell some fresh lies er uh new stories. What say y'all Ron
  5. I think it is like any other trade or craft that takes a little work, no one wants to do it today, and there aren't any places that teach the craft very well. That is one of the week points that we in this country have encountered over the last ten to twenty years, our apprenticeship programs are almost gone. As to the leather, I bought me one of those new fangled nylon web belts bout 3 years ago, and you talk about a pain the arse, you would have to take off the buckle every time I took it off and put on my britches, then the webbing started to fray, so I will be selling it this weekend at a yard sale. I contemplated make them there new fangled belts, but in reality nothing can beat a good leather belt, just some people might need 2 fer when ya sweat like a pup in heat. Along with all that if you have one that is built real well and looks good you can carry what ever ya want on it and still wear it with Sunday go ta meeten and look good doing it, and not look like some tactical looking character that is out of place, now this just my own pinion.
  6. Sorry I just read your post, I had a large sheet of dex and cut the strips from it. The dex can be bought in 2 lengths that I know of 24 inches and 48 inches and then need to cut what is needed for each belts, hope this helps?
  7. Oops meant to say stainless steel I'll be using stainless steel in the near future also which is thinner at 030 x .75 wide that will add far rigidity to the belt but mot thickness
  8. Thanks all, as for thickness it adds very little to the over all thickness of the belt, I will also be using
  9. was able to get the photos up tonight
  10. this was stitched with a large sewing machine that can sew saddles so it was not a problem, I will get a photo to post tomorrow of how flexible that belt is, but till then it is very flexible yet offers rigidity at the same time, till tomorrow when I can get some more photos night night.
  11. in the last few days it is double layer of 8oz leather with a kydex lining, hope ya'll like it. be right back in a few minutes with photos.
  12. A good leather holster should be about the same cost as kydex and the leather can be made to fit exactly
  13. Depending on where you are located there are several holster makers on the board that canale a holster for you including myself
  14. I bought the 9 and the 45 muy wife found a concealed carry purse that the 9 with a full mag fits in perfectly, I carry the 45 with the 13 round mag and love that gun, I had bought the xds 45 when it first came out and gave it to my son. I went through several others then went to the mod 2 and wouldnt own anything else
  15. Thanks I didnt think there would be just wanted to make sure
  16. anything to worry about with any of the states we will be going through and concealed carry, from what I can tell there aren't any issues but thought I would ask. Will be going through Missouri, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Arkansas, and Texas which shouldn't be a problem but thought I would ask just to make sure. Thanks in advance. Ron
