  1. what size panel did you get?  What kind of power will it make?
  2. wow!  Just wow!  I have a Strider EDC, but it's no where near as nice looking as this.  I see an upgrade coming soon for me.
  3.   I installed an ICamera 1000 for the same reason, but don't have a cloud storage solution paired with it at the moment.  I use VLC to view remotely on my iPhone.  There are several local storage solutions that would allow you to have DVR functionality locally without the recurring cost of cloud storage.  You could also set those up to view history remotely if needed.  For me, I just wanted something cheap (25$) to view from remote.
  4. There is no set amount paid.  All advertisers participate in a real-time auction that's conducted when a search/load occurs.  The winner is calculated by a few components, including bid amount.  Google then passes a portion of the auction proceeds on to the channel owner.
  5. A few years ago I saw a super sweet deal on a 100ct box of magpul follower battleship gray 30 rounders at BravoCompany USA...I threw down and have never regretted it.  Having similar positions in my select pistol use, I feel comfortable.
  6. I thought I'd read somewhere that ~50 sells a year was the breakpoint and he was going to move the number to ~25.

    Got The Fever

Been following them myself.  I just don't have a range to exercise one properly, nor the funds to put towards it right now.
  8. I've used frog lube for years but I'm moving away from it now on my AR's. I've had trouble with it in cold weather. It seems to be gunking up when the temps drop causing the bolt to not go fully into battery. I wonder if I'm the only one that has experienced this.
  9. I think that's perfectly acceptable for threads involving stamp collecting!
  10. 1911's being made from meteorite material.  Who comes up with this stuff!?   http://www.wtvm.com/story/30829547/company-to-make-1-million-guns-from-meteorite   Wonder who will buy these?  And if they will shoot them.
  11. I suppose this is posturing for political points.  Must be an election coming up someone's worried about loosing.
  12. So I got my first AK this past week.  The front site is very hard for me to see in medium to low light.  I've got some white glow in the dark paint i'm considering painting it.  I know it won't glow for a prolonged period of time...but being white should help immensely I'm thinking.  Any reason not to do this?  I've not customized or changed much on guns...but things are going to be different with this one.   Also, the FFL that did my transfer told me he wouldn't shoot the gun without checking headspace.  I've never had to do that with any other gun I had...but he just kept saying it, making me think I should at least investigate.  Is this a common issue?  He mentioned gauges were about 40$?
  13. Lot's of great info here.  Thanks all!  Going to read up.  The machine gun guide site is neat in that it's mentioning guns I'd not even heard of.
  14. What are options for picking up a FA as far as dealers, and weapons.  Looking at getting something in the 3-6K range, and thinking about doing something before the end of the year.   Any dealers on this site holding one now?
  15.   Looks like you're still under the window.  I'm going to make use of these last few weeks of the year myself and put a couple more in the hopper.
  16. So with this RMR setup, can you still use see the standard sites for backup?
  17.   I have two headed my way right now!   :D  :D  :D Dolo showed me the light!
  18. THANK YOU for all the input.   Here's what CDNN says about the components used for the build.  Does anyone have experience with CBC barrels?  I do like the fact that the barrel was made in America...but only if it's not crap.     nitride barrel Charleston Barrel Company made in America creed monarch barrell nut steel gas block micro .750 low profile gas block gas tube pistol length gas system DPMS forward assist DPMS dust cover LWRC quad rail threaded 5/8 x 24 barrel
  19. ok, so I notice on the CDNN model, the top rail is removable allowing access to the gas system.  Why is this important.  Can it not be cleaned without breaking down otherwise?   The Button Rifled barrel type is a new one for me.  Just read that this is a progressive cutting method, removing a little more metal with each pass.  The CDNN model does not mention rifling method.  I'll ask about that as well when I call.
  20. I see what you're saying about all the LWRC rails, and that is what caught my eye at first.  I'm going to call them and see if they can tell me what manufacturer the barrel is.  I would not mind building one from ground up...just no experience or tools.  I have plenty of tools, just not specific to building AR's.  Been eyeing that Magpul wrench though.  It looks beefy.
