  1. Like this will happen. Link please?
  2. Thanks for the great info guys. Stuff like this is why I'm here.
  3. Yea. Seems like I remember seeing around 10 but I didn't look at every gun. The far booth as you walk in had some 12s and I think 16s and 20s. I've been looking at DBs lately.
  4. Went today. Lots of nice guns. Collectors. Great rifles and shot guns.
  5. It's true. Polls are conducted with varying sample sizes and in different regions throughout the country. some are local and some are national. It is up to us to filter through data and make a decision based on our own needs and values. IMHO the worst thing one can do is rely on a small sample size of news outlets to gather information. It is good to perspective take.
  6. This story smells bad. Something they aren't telling us.
  7. I agree that ammo could be a major problem. However, I remember reading a case, I can't remember the name, where the court declared ammo as part of the 2nd amendment. This isn't saying, of course, that it won't be chocked off.
  8. Thanks for the heads up. Went there years ago. Looking forward.
  9. Based on the current climate and a majority of what the media says is public consensus (which probably makes no difference because our politicians are bought) and the stance that the libs are taking, I'd say they will try to do something. From a jaded point of view it will all come down to who can buy the most votes as to who's agenda will be passed. I think your statement "nowhere did they state that 2A allows..... " Is their angle this time.
  10. http://www.cga.ct.gov/2010/rpt/2010-R-0314.htm http://www.examiner.com/article/a-full-summary-and-analysis-of-the-mcdonald-v-chicago-supreme-court-case And because its fun: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/McDonald_v._Chicago Hummmmm. Gran Torino goes to court. A guy in a big city who has been robbed a number of times challenges the Chicago hand gun ban. No where in the case do they name specific fire arms that are banned. Terms like liberty, state by state, fundamental, militia of the states, etc. The rulings are actual cases where someone used a gun to defend themselves in a proper mannor Also D.C. Vs. Heller. It sounds like some elected officials want to challenge the original intent of the 2nd, especially the "militia" wording, and the 14th interpretation of "due process" as it pertains to fire arms. They also want to frame "self defense" and define or limit what they consider acceptable self defense weapons. This will be debated again and again.
  11. Good point. I'm going to find out what the latest ruling by the Supreme Court is on the language of the second amendment. If anyone has clarification handy please post. We must make sure they don't over step the ruling and we must understand the amendments intent. At least I need to if I can intelligently debate. I just bought two 20 round mags. I'll be damned if I want to give them up.
  12. Gentlemen, with all due respect, I believe we will have to make some compromises. That is how politics works. There are two sides to this matter. It is not Obama and the liberals vs. us. In recent polls, a majority of Americans believe in some form of "control". Background checks on all fire arms sold seems to be the one that has the most support among Americans. In my opinion, the key is to continue what we are doing. Write to congress, attend rallies, create new and informed gun owners that want to act responsibly. We can't let them see us sweat and above all, we must stay cool. Enclosed is a link to a poll from Reuters. http://www.reuters.com/article/2013/02/07/us-usa-guns-poll-idUSBRE9160LW20130207
  13. Nice. Thanks for painting a good picture. Oh, did you bring a sandwich or could you guys head to Halls for a bite?
  14. We got our AR's and AK's back in 04. The compromise will be they "let" us keep them. IMHO.

    Full synthetic.

Gotta have to Rambo headband to complete the badassness. Mine is orange camo :).
  16. Yea I think it's good to be "bonified". I don't want to carry all oh the time, but when I do, it needs to be legal.
  17. Marlin 3030 and a 12 gauge with good bird shot.
  18. Yea I can't wait to hear what the instructor says. Plus... I get to shoot the beretta :)
  19. Exactly. I know for some of us it is like putting our glasses on every day or putting our cell phones in our pockets. I'm a teacher in an inner city school and for me it is very serious. I want to uphold a sense of both family and community.
  20. Thanks guys!! I think it is a serious step.
  21. Feb 23 at rifle range road. Looking forward to the class. What do I need to work on to prepare?
  22. LowBb

    Full synthetic.

Changed the oil in the Acura today. Been running full synthic for a while. Used some extra on the beretta px4's slides and friction points. I know we have all talked about this, but from what I can tell it works great!
