  1. i just got a txt from my contact in africa and he said he had good news for me about hunting while i am in africa in june! he is going to call me tomorrow and give me the details. i don't care if it is throwing spears at rabbits with the tribes man or plains game i will take anything! lol i will let you guys know tomorrow
  2. don't refinish the whole stock! that would kill the value of that rifle, pre-64 winchesters are very expensive! i think it would be just fine to float the barrel the way you described
  3. how about i sell them to you and you can use them for target practice!!
  4. in the middle of moving i lost the keys to one of the gun cabinets(i have 3). it is a stack-on metal cabinet that is not fire proof, just one of the $200 cabinets to keep guns from kids. i called stack-on and the lady told me to drill the lock and they will send a replacement lock and key set(i have 2 of these and now i will have one key to open both cabinets) for $15. any idea how long it took me to drill the lock out? 20 seconds with a good 1/4inch drill bit and my snap-on drill. 20 seconds!!!! i thought it would have taken a little bit longer like a minute or two. nope, 20 seconds. i'm now thinking about selling both of the cheap stamped steal stack-ons and buying another fire proof safe from cannon or another stack-on fire proof/water proof safe to match the one i have.
  5. are you going to name the baby surprise? lol jk my neighbor(catholic) seems to have a baby every other year for as long as i have known them. i think she is 47-50ish at the last kid and has never had any trouble FWIT. my prayers are with you and the new baby.
  6. hahaha, yes, i'm listening and i do have a 38-55 and 32win and i would love to be able to cast molds for them and start reloading.
  7. i have to find them(still moving into another house) but i have a beretta 92FS(i believe that is what it fits, i have never had a beretta but my neighbor who is a cop said that is what they were because they fit his gun. anyways, 1 beretta 92fs high cap mag and also a nice set of wood grips for a colt detective special, i think that is what they fit. it is marked on the bag it is in and i will find out monday for sure. PM me
  8. pm sent on 30 30 brass!
  9. i'm looking for a guide gun also. when i get one we will have to shoot side by side and compare them. maybe i can work on your car for some bullets!!
  10. i was wanting to buy several boxes but decided i had better buy one box shoot it and see how it cycles in my glocks than stock up and sell this black talons or just shoot them for the heck of it.
  11. ammo to go has it on sale for 15 bucks a box! remington golden sabre 165 GR i wil give it a try and see what happens. maybe i will get to shoot it and see if i like it before it goes back to full price of 20 bucks.
  12. i was at academy last night and saw some winchester 40 cal bonded 180gr personal protection ammo. anybody have any good luck with this stuff? i was thinking about switching ammo and was considering this for my glock 23/27. any other brands that people like for carry?
  13. PM sent!
  14. i just talked with a pro gunsmith and he said the muzzle pressure isn't near as high on a shotgun as it is a rifle, so you don't really gain much from doing it. it does make it louder and flash a lot! he also said if you do it wrong, your pattern will be off.
  15. i cleaned a colt 1911 for a friend that bought it in 1972, loaded the magazine and never shot the gun. gun was dirty!!! cleaned the gun up, took it to the range and shot the magazine that had been loaded for almost 40 years!!! worked just fine!!!
  16. i'm redoing a shotgun, i'm thinking about porting it before i reblue it. anybody ever try this? it is going to be a home defender gun(winchester 1300 defender) i was thinking about folding a piece of paper and marking holes in it, than draping it over the barrel and marking the holes. that way all the holes will be even. i was thinking about using a 1/8 drill bit, or should i try a smaller size? just a thought to help with recoil

i always like to be legal, you never know when you are going to get pulled over for a speeding ticket or in an accident and have some cop feel like he has to prove something or find something wrong with the AK in your car and that you shouldn't have it. always best to play it safe IMO
  19. nope, it wasn't changeable but the good old kersaw changed it! lol
  20. i just shaved a little off and now we are good to go!
  21. me either...my neighbor gave it to me for working on his truck. it seems to be a good quality. hey, it didn't cost me any money! i took the light apart and pulled the lock tab off and i am shaving it down with my knife, i think this will work pretty good.
  22. i got mine at guns and leather, custom made to fit me, double leather with stiff plastic in the middle, works!!!! it was $45 bucks and took about 3-4 weeks to make it.guns and leather phone number is 643-4865
  23. walther laser light combo with pressure switch
  24. i wonder why this won't fit on the rail. the lock that slides into the groove is to large for the slot on the gun. should i just file the lock on the light down? i really want it to work on the glock but i also want to put it on my shotgun down the road and don't want to mess it up
  25. i have a parker and it is awesome, light weight but deadly
