  1. Wow, very kind of you to offer, but I think I'm going to purchase this week when all of the sales are happening, and I don't think I could get out that way before then. Still appreciate it though.
  2. No you're right, I just worded that weird, sorry. basically $25-35 for both, depending on how far I drive, which basically negates any online discounts. Roughly ends up being the same give or take $10 which I'm not gonna cry over.
  3. Thanks for the info, appreciated. Ya, unfortunately, if i buy locally the tax drops the discount to basically 10%, and buying online is basically discounted with all the fees at the transfer. Kinda makes them the same price either way.
  4. Ha, so my name gives it away huh? Ya, I have been known to blow through a magazine in a few seconds. My other rifle is a Marlin 795, which honestly is an amazing little rifle for its price, but regardless, I've wanted a ruger for a while now and the wife decided for me. One further issue I wasn't even thinking about before was the fact that having a 25 round magazine (let's face it, if I get a 10/22, I'm getting some) I'm going to shoot even more. I guess I was just thinking if I felt the need to do a mag dump I could just grab the Marlin. I appreciate all the responses, keep them coming!
  5. Title pretty much says it all. I'll be buying one soon and want some opinions. I have a .22 semi auto already, but the wife claimed it, so oh darn, looks like I'll need to buy another .22. I was thinking of the American, because from what I've read, bolt action will eat anything and I have a variety of ammo from standard velocity to hyper. That plus the fact I will have to slow down to shoot, make it appealing. My only issue, is I can't seem to find one for less than $250, and I can find 10/22's all day long for $170-200. Honestly either way I will be happy, but is the American worth the extra money up front? I will really only be punching paper or practicing with it. Sorry if I'm beating a dead horse here.
  6. I bought the strikefire and have been pleased with it. The reasons I went with Vortex were that I read their customer service is amazing, and I'm too poor for an Aimpoint. One thing I know for sure though, with PSA, if you see a good deal, jump in it. You very well could go back tomorrow and the price could be back up. The Black Friday deals are coming soon too though....
  7. I think they have the sparc for 119.99 right now, you have to put in the coupon code that's in the thumbnail otherwise it's like 149.99. That's as cheap as I've ever seen it.
  8. Hmmmm, well I guess I can't say for certain, but I remember reading it somewhere. We also used to see "Got em!" posts every once in a while in this thread, Not anymore. That along with what I posted before leads me to believe it's true, but again I can't be certain.
  9. I agree with everyone here in saying these people are buttheads, however, I'm not gonna waste my time flagging them anymore. I used to be able to make maybe 1/20 disappear by being that magical person to hit the cap and have their posting removed. Now armslist has raised the cap so high that no matter how many times a listing gets flagged, it is still there. They can keep their neckbeards, I just won't go there anymore.
  10. I think that the firearm sales event lasts until tomorrow, but I doubt they will save any .22 until then, all the signs I saw said while supplies last.
  11. Well I'm glad some people got some, I had to head out of state for an emergency, and of course the Wal-Mart here had a little sign up that they weren't participating in the event. Such is life.
  12. Point taken, still though, shoots better than nothing. :-)
  13. Ya, it's more expensive than it used to be, and you can probly get it cheaper online if you're on when some happen to pop into stock, but honestly 7.50 for 100 isn't terrible by today's standards, at least it's CCI and not thunderbolts. Just figured I'd let everyone know for those of us that can't camp out at 6:00am.
  14. Well that's a bummer JAB, wish I could offer more info to you all, but I don't know what stores are participating. Having seen this elsewhere online and actually seeing the little flyer printout at the store leads me to believe that it's gonna be a pretty big event, but you never know. One way or another, if you're near that Wal-Mart on Chapman, I at least know they're gonna have some.
  15. Oh, Ya, sorry about that. If it matters it was the Chapman highway Wal-Mart. From what I understand, if there's a firearm clearance event banner hanging up near the firearms, they will have the ammo. It's supposed to draw people in for the event. Forgot to mention that the flyer also said ZQI ammo would be 20% off too, but with the price I saw on them, you'd be better off buying online.
  16. Oh, $7.49 each, dunno how i forgot that. Not the best price ever, but by today's standards, not terrible either.
  17. Sorry if this had been posted already, but I went to the Knoxville Wal-Mart today and there was a sign up confirming that they would have CCI 100 round SV paper boxed packs on October 4th for their firearm clearance event. Limit 3 per person, starts at 8:00am, limited supply. Spoke with the guy at the counter and he said he thinks it's for every Wal-Mart in the area as long as they have a firearm section. Gl getting some all!
  18. It's funny, I just wished for this very thing a few days ago in a different thread... so as long as the dear Lord is taking requests, it would sure be nice to win the lotto this week XD. I'll be there after hitting up Wal-Mart and bagging my .22 limit, most likely as poor as I am now.
  19. Huge fan of family guy and didn't really enjoy it. There were a few funny spots, but it seemed like they were just going from place to place in Springfield just so they could throw in another characters voice. 6/10.
  20. God, I can't imagine how the politics could possibly be missed in this story. I find it funny though, while I'm reading it I keep thinking to myself "I bet there's a lib out there reading this right now thinking all these idiots are dead on with this redistribution of wealth crap, wondering why the main characters are so greedy."
  21. I look forward to finishing the book and then watching the movies. You never know how different they are going to be. Take Jurassic Park, or Forrest Gump for example. Great movies, and great books, but totally different from each other. edit:I am trying not to read all of the comments to avoid spoilers, but I just glanced up and saw they were pretty true to the book. I can't wait to see them.
  22. I was almost afraid to open this thread, as I am reading Atlas Shrugged for the first time right now, and I still don't know who John Galt is XD.
  23. Ah, well, he appears to be a man on youtube who has fired more weapons than I have probably seen. Fun, but I'm not big into YouTube, so it's no big surprise I didn't know who he was. I'll go just to say I've seen him in person and look at the new stuff Buds got in. I can think of worse things to do.
  24. Don't get too crazy on me here, but I don't know who that is. I only live 20 minutes away from there, so I guess I'll go see what the fuss is all about, and if I'm interested it's a short trip on Saturday.
  25. Hey now! Common sense thinking like that has no place in today's society!
