  1. They had a preppers convention at the Sevierville convention center not too long ago. There's plenty of room for a good sized gun show there or in the new one in Pigeon Forge. I'm hoping that it happens, from what I read, the trip to Knoxville wouldn't be worth the effort. I might brave the traffic for a gun show, a car show, not so much.
  2. This will be the first year living in East TN that I will not be working in Pigeon Forge for a car show... I will not miss it.
  3. Sorry for your loss. You'll see Rocco again one day, and it sounds like he had a great life.
  4. I guess that makes sense, a predator being interested in a certain age, although I would think it would be more like an age range, but what the heck do I know, I can't even begin to imagine what goes through one of those people's minds.
  5. That is weird, I didn't even think about that. I still think that Will probably did at least molest his youngest in some way, just because of all the people saying that they have heard more information by being close to the family, however, there are plenty of strange things to consider. The ex wife possibly setting him up, Stephanie flip flopping her story, this new mystery woman that again happened to be 12 when he assaulted her too. Really weird story. Hopefully justice is served since we will probably never hear the whole story.
  6. Perhaps you're right. In all honesty, I haven't seen too many episodes of the show. If it was popular, which I'm sure it was with multiple seasons, maybe there have been talks of a spin-off of sorts already. I guess only time will tell.
  7. I eat this spicy chicken sandwich in your honor sir! God speed.
  8. I don't know.... at first Stephanie defends her father and then she says he molested her too. I understand victim mentality, and being too afraid to say anything, and I believe that could happen, but now she's going on Dr. Phil and she had nothing to gain? Of course she has something to gain! Am I to believe that she isn't going to be paid for this? Before anyone gets up in arms about this post, I do think that he probably did do it, I just think that all of Stephanie's actions have been for personal gain since all of this started. At first I think she was hoping to stay in good standing with RJF, then once her father was arrested again and the show was cancelled, she figured she could sell her story. I could be completely wrong but that's how it seems to me.
  9. Not a bad price on any of that, however, J-Floyds is on my list of stores that I just can't bring myself to shop at. Any store or online dealer that jacked their prices post Sandy Hook like they did are no goes for me personally.
  10. Oh man I remember the time I went there, it was with a couple of friends from out off town. I'm not a big shrimp and grits guy, but a buddy got them and they looked amazing. I swore next time I went I would get them.
  11. Good thinking there, I used duct tape. Unfortunately for me, I guess was squeezing so hard it pretty much flattened out the tape. Dang thing was in too, but sticking out a smidge, I figured, meh, why not give it another squeeze and get it perfect. Live and learn I guess.
  12. I substituted a punch for a pair of taped up pliers one time to get in the roll pin for the bolt release. Notice I said ONE time. Scratched the lower pretty good. Didn't really bother me too much cause none of my weapons are safe queens, but it took me a minute to cool off. I recommend getting the proper tools to anyone attempting their first build... edit: almost forgot to say, nice build there, if you threw on a 16" chf cl a2 profile upper from psa it would be the exact build I just finished. I opted for the blem version and saved $40.00. still trying to find the blems on it.
  13. Ha, that second one was deactivated by the seller, that's the first time I've ever seen that. Maybe we got through to one of them...
  14. Honestly I love seeing all of the little messages at the end of the posts. Things like someone messaged me calling me a turd, or gold has gone up and .22 is the new gold, I should be able to charge more!!! It makes me laugh and gives me hope that these a$$h@le$ well get stuck holding their millions of rounds.
  15. I took the family out to it. I've never been to a gun show so I really can't compare it to one. There we're a few tables with guns, most seemed a little high, some were reasonable I guess, if they didn't charge for transfers. There were a few booths with reloading supplies, I didn't see anyone biting on their prices. Not much ammo, all overpriced IMO. It was cool to have a show close though and I hope it gets bigger and comes back, I only went to see if there were any new cool prepper items I had to have. I didn't bite on anything, I do most ordering online, but it was nice to get out for the afternoon. I wish I had gone yesterday though, you got in both days for $8.00.
  16. Oh, here's a little trick with PSA that I've seen happen a few times, just to show I'm not being a negative Nancy today. Like I said, they do tend to raise their prices when they offer free shipping, buuuuuut if you see a banner on top of the web site saying that free shipping starts on let's say Sunday, put an item into your cart Saturday night and check the shipping. Sometimes you can get a daily deal for an awesome price, before it changes, and get the free shipping! Don't know if it always happens, but I've seen it happen a few times.
  17. Oh, yes, that deal is awesome for sure. I was just throwing that info out there because other deals were being brought up, and someone that isn't familiar with the sight might think that the 20% off right now is awesome. I'm saying be careful because they tend to raise their prices when they run deals.
  18. I'm torn here, really I am. Usually I'm the first person to jump on the PSA is awesome bandwagon, hell I'm building a PSA AR right now, but their deals lately have not been that great. Take for example the deal they are running right now. 20% off most items! excludes ammo, firearms, ar uppers, gift cards, all good brands of optics ...ummm so 90% of their items, geez. I check their site almost daily and of course you will see the price predictably climb about 20% right before a deal like this or free shipping days. I'm not saying there still aren't amazing deals to be had, just saying be careful because sometimes it's better to just wait a couple of weeks and watch an item because they change the sales price constantly.
  19. Have a happy Easter everyone!
  20. Ya, I'd recommend against JFloyds. As others have mentioned the prices are pretty high and they were pretty quick to jack their prices during that little run on black guns last year. Example: they had a double star AR for 699.99 one day, the next day the same rifle was 999.99. I don't look fondly on that kind of stuff, just my personal feelings of course. edited because I can't spell.
  21. Oh btw, grabagun has the m&p sport for 579.00 with 5.99 shipping. Not much difference from 599.99, but hey, 14 bucks is 14 bucks. http://grabagun.com/catalog/product/view/id/11888/
  22. Oh, ya, I always pay my taxes, wouldn't think of anything else....ahahahahahahaha.
  23. Love it when PSA has their free shipping. I can't find ammo locally that can even match their prices. Throw in free shipping and no tax and it's a no brainer. Thanks for the heads up.
  24. Saw that earlier, just an fyi to everyone looking, it's not chrome lined, at least it does not state that it is. Just something to keep in mind if that kind of thing even matters to you.
  25. I live in the area east of Knoxville. Only outdoor range I have been to is Bubbling Springs. Not much to it really, a couple of benches with netting set up to place your targets at different ranges. There's a box you drop off a couple of dollars for the range fee, I think it was 3.00 but I don't really remember. Nice and cheap way to shoot some outdoors, the only down side would be if there were a few people there, you might be waiting for a bench.
