    What's the big deal about a purge now? I purge my body at least twice a day and no one gets upset. Guess I should put it on Bookface and people will care.

    AR kit or complete?

    With the kit you linked all you need to do is add a lower. The lower receiver must go to a FFL, the kit you linked will ship to your doorstep. As you mentioned, from there you're just a couple hours away from a functioning AR. For what it's worth, you could do a lot worse than the kit you linked, buy with confidence

    I love my Troys! This is definitely a better than normal price and if I wasn't broke would grab another set. For fixed sights I really love the Daniel Defense set.

    I also have no issues with the Magpul MBUS for cost effective buis.

    Echo. Daniel defense make some awesome fixed irons. Magpul MBUS are much tougher than you'd think, even though they are polymer.

    I wish you luck. That straight magwell and that cartridge shape  just wanna give each other problems. The Grendel is the same basic deal. 

    Yeah the CPD mags I have for it have functioned really well with it in 30, 28, and 10 round flavors. Just thought this thing was interesting since it will supposedly feed any cartridge that will fit inside an AR mag well. It's several thousandths wider all around than a standard GI magazine, won't drop free in any lower I have. I suppose that's to give some play to some of the longer calibers, not sure. I'll gladly ship it to a Grendel owner for them to try and see if it works. Supposedly it will.

    I think you have to ask yourself what you really want. I shoot AR pattern rifles for the most part and I carry Glock pistols so a AR that accepts Glock magazines made sense. It has ran like crazy for around 700 rounds so far without a hiccup. On the opposite end of the spectrum, I have a Hipoint 995TS like the poster above. I may have $300 in it all together. It, just like my 9mm AR, has never stumbled. I've fed it every 9mm weight and bullet type I've had and it has digested it. Both can be a lot of fun. Like I said, I think it comes down to what you want and what you want to spend. Pic of my two 653cba0432deb31e5acbe4cac7f88a75.jpg
