  1. Im with you 99%. But there is enough there to peek my interest. If any of you watched that the guy said he put that animal in his deep freezer and filled it up with water. Of course that broke his freezer. When asked why he did that he said, I thought thats how you made ice cubes. Im not sure if these guys are smart enough to pull off a long term scam
  2. Ill qoute myself here to answer your question. I didnt ask him his price and then say, "well would you take x dollars'. I simply asked him what his cash price was for a gun and what types of other 40's he had in stock that I could compare upon arrival. Now I did mention that I had some coworkers that were interested in coming up (that backed out on me) and wondered if we could get a 3-4 gun deal. Then again that was my first real gun purchase besides from friends, etc. So I didnt know what I was doing anyway.
  3. I dont know. here is my bet. Those two necks from GA shot that Bigfoot (if thats what it is), got scared, pulled it guts out and froze it. Why wait a month after discovery to show? They busted a cap in ole Harry! Count on it.
  4. I drove an hour over to see Joe in BFE and was well worth it. Now I did pester him on pricing and inventory prior to making the trip, I just wanted to be sure he had what I wanted. I will make a return visit one day as well. As far as im concerned 50$ is well worth a face to face.
  5. From my Brother in Law: Coincidentally, there's a place called Gorilla Haven in north Georgia that has a few gorillas there, and also provides temporary homes to some zoo gorillas. The Harry's Farmer's Market in Marietta is a sponsor for the place. http://www.gorilla-haven.org/
  6. Fake or no? http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=f40_1218592721
  7. There were 2 cops in my class here in Chatt. And the instructor was SWAT and knew her. SHe didnt have to sit through the class but she did have to take the tests.
  8. You need more than 20 rounds! If this is truly for survival, Id say a LR .22 for killing birds etc. Its cheap and you caould carry a ton of ammo
  9. Theres a place on Hixson pike going toward Soddy simply called "Southern" I had the catfish, green beans, sliced tomoatos and mashed taters for lunch. Great, now im starving again.
  10. This is unbelievable. 15000 performers. Jaw dropping
  11. Is this a "loaded" question? you can open a bottle with almost any edge
  12. When I was growing up I started with a decent pellet gun, I think you can get the basics down pretty well with that. Once I learned how to be safe I moved on to a 410 and a youth model Remington 20 guage. In my opinion a properly sized shotgun is the way to go. http://www.remington.com/products/firearms/youth/ Then again I never did much range shooting. I grew up in the country shooting birds and such. I think you will get 1000 different answers for this. Ive still got that shotgun and it will be my sons first "real" gun as well.
  13. I got my grips in for the CZ today that I purchased off Ebay. For like 6$ they shipped them from Hungary and it didnt take but 10 days. They went on with no problem, and after seeing them I think I like them more than I thought I would. Shot 50 rounds yesterday and they felt great. They are a bit thicker than the standard plastic but im happy.
  14. Too funny. Its the same music ive ever heard on any 70's black gangster movie. I thought they were about to do a "job" that ended with someone screaming benjamins. I did see that Min wage was increased today, and this time next year it will be 7.25 per hour. While thats not much it could be a living if they (Anyone not disabled and sitting on their ass) tried.
  15. HA. I have this saying I always seem to use... "It may not be long but by God its skinny"
  16. Ive been reading this guy for a while now. Pretty decent insights. http://fieldandstream.blogs.com/sportsmanslife/ Overpopulated Whitetails, Come On Down! A suburban couple in a well-to-do neighborhood near here got fed up with deer destroying their flowers and bushes. John and Carmela Peterson tried deterrents, even considered a fence, but decided getting the required variance might be slow and expensive. The county verified the extent of the damage and recommended hunting, in part because the local deer herd is at or beyond the land’s carrying capacity. Now holding a damage control permit, the Petersons invited a licensed bowhunter in. They had every reason to believe they had hit upon a way to manage, if not solve, the problem. But things play out differently if your neighbors are wealthy, well-connected, and rabidly anti-hunting. The people next door, Martina and Anthony Caputy, were horrified. “None of us are farmers,†she told the Washington Post. “We’re not dependent on crops or anything like that.†She called their efforts “senseless slaughter.†It didn’t stop there. Anthony Caputy is former chief of neurosurgery at an area hospital, where he once operated on Bob Barker, the 85-year-old former host of “The Price Is Right,†a man always happy to lend his celebrity to animal rights causes. Barker dashed off a letter to the state about deer treading “an ancestral path that leads them to and from their sleeping place †and saying killing them would render nearby children “catatonic†and the adults “up in arms.†PETA founder Ingrid Newkirk, never one to pass up the chance to pour accelerant onto a house fire, roused the troops and weighed in with a predictable statement, calling hunting “selfish, callous and cowardly.†When told by a Post reporter that PETA and Bob Barker were issuing press releases about her backyard deer, Carmela Peterson’s first reaction was: “You’ve got to be kidding.†The Petersons met with their neighbors. In the end, they decided the loss of landscaping wasn’t worth the enmity of the community. The irony? The Petersons themselves are longtime PETA supporters. Mrs. Peterson once donated her car to the group. The lesson for hunters is not that PETA will cannibalize its own supporters if they stop drinking the Kool-Aid. It’s that we face an extremely motivated, shrewd, and relentless group that would like to see hunting outlawed. If you’re a hunter, always be on your best behavior in public. Next time you see a hunter acting like a slob, remember that he’s hurting all of us.

  18. Im with you. Ill wait for the plastic to come in. Im still waiting on my Mika pocket holster anyway, they should arrive about the same time GlockMeister it was the DOS Location: 6502 Bonny Oaks Drive Chattanooga, TN 37416
  19. The man at the DMV told me to keep that receipt with me at all times, gave me that sticker and sent me on my way. Thanks for clearing that up.
  20. Very strange. I wonder if this would hold water if I were pulled over or questioned. They def. fouled up. Sorry about quality, this treo is a piece of crap.
  21. I typed in Temporary in the forum search and read through some threads but didnt see this question exactly. I completed the course this last Saturday and went to the DMV and got all of my information and paperwork completed for the CCW permit. On my yellow sheet of my application they put a sticker on there that reads "Receipt Serves As Temporary Handgun Carry Permit". That is astonishing to me, I havent been printed yet and no background check yet. I know this is a silly question but am I reading this right? There is no expiration date on this either? Either way, im off to get printed today, just making sure I can start carrying.
