Good match Joe. I had a few issues on one part of two stages. Stages 2 and 4 had two targets on the left of a barrel. I had three hits on the left target and one hit on the right stage 2. Stage 4 was two hits on the left, zero hits on the right and two hit in the non threat. The left side of the non threat. I don't normally miss that bad. I believe I was skipping rounds off the cover barrel I was standing at. Lesson learned. Mistery solved. Don't crowd cover. I had a great time with a lot of good guys.

Fun and challenging match today. I had a great time. Thanks for putting it together Rick. Have an idea when scores will be up?

There were only 5 or 6 of us that shot Sunday. A little rain but not enough to stop the action. Great match and a lot of fun. Can't wait till the next one. Maybe I'll shoot a little better.

I plan on being there. Probably bring the 40 Witness. It makes the weight at 42.6 oz for ESP. However the steel dust cover is about 3/8" to long. I guess I'll get the hacksaw out. Or maybe the Dremel will work. Anybody have a bandsaw I can use.

Sam Henderson has invite all us TGO 1911 shooters to his match. 3rd Annual Uncle Sam's Single Stack Championship will be held June 25th at Brocks Gap Training Center. Brush the dust off that 1911 that you're "thinking about shooting one day", and join us. Fun frivolity, and BBQ. What more can you ask for? It's a great match down the road in Birmingham. They usually give away a couple guns. Lunch is BBQ from SAMs restaurant. Always good. It's always a sell out. I'll post more info when I get it.

Good match. Justin showed us all how to shoot. Shooting in the CDP men's division he still wipped everyone. He had a hit on a non thread on the clay bird stage. Other than that he was fast and accurate. The 1911 fits him very well. I had fun shooting with everyone in my squad.

Alright, Sam and I are in squad 8. Can't wait for that free lunch.

Thanks for the invite guys. You know I'm a new shooter in the TGO area. Sam Henderson is in squad 5. Sam is the guy that knew how much I wanted a Nighthawk Custom 1911, so he gave me one. Hard to turn down a $3500 gun. Sam is a very special friend that I would like to shoot with. So, if you TGO shooters want to chip in for a new Wilson Combat 1911, I'll squad in 8.

I received my squading email. Looks like squad 2 is the super squad with all the AMU shooters. Not many in the squads yet. I would like to make one of there club matches before the State. Just to get the lay of the land. I'm shooting my 1911 9mm in ESP. Need to start practicing. Hope my squad will be full of familiar faces. More fun shooting with friends.

I would shoot on Saturday. But in the winter months it sure is nice to start at noon when it warms up a bit.

I registered this morning. Should be a good time.

Thanks Joe. It's my 4 th. I have won it at the age of 65,69,70 and now 71. I had a great time shooting with my new friends in Tn. My plan is to switch to CDP for the new year. Maybe a little CCP. But most important is to have fun.
