  1. Seems appropriate for this thread.
  2. I figure all the libs buying guns will turn them in as soon as the crisis is over, they wouldn't want the gun to jump up and shoot them.
  3. I assume this was on the set of a movie and not a movie shot. Anyone recognize the actress and maybe the movie she was dressed up for?

  5. Maybe I can remember those letters now, I always get confused and end up with about 12 letters run together.
  6. Baby is teething
  7. Bullet Proof Vest Testing, 1923
  8. I only have 5, and was thinking I needed a couple more. I can see that I'm a slacker in the revolver group, maybe more than a couple. I shoot them off my deck range when I don't fell like bending over to clean up, which is more and more often.
  9. Tanks of all sizes
  10. I have it on my calendar and I have been to the show a few times over the years. Was considering going, a week ago, but with all the crap on the news and people in a panic, I figure if it doesn't get canceled half the vendors will be missing. I didn't think about it but as several pointed out, the prepper booths will all be open, maybe even some $10/roll TP.
  11. Caption anyone?
  12. Female trainees of the Los Angeles Police Department practice firing their newly issued revolvers on March 6, 1948 Didn't know female cops were a thing in 1948, always thought it came much later. Wondering if this photo was mislabeled and it is something else.
  13. Not sure what the labels are suppose to mean, interesting photo.
  14. The site sounds like they have regular auctions, most bigger. Says there is a viewing time, has anyone ever showed up and looked at the guns you wanted to bid on? Wondered how accessible they were for inspection. I'm about 2 hours away but would drive over if they had something I was really interested in, of course if you were successful it would be another trip to pickup. Where we moved from in NY I use to go to a live gun auction that was held 5 or 6 times a year about an hour away. They were an FFL so long guns you could take home with you but hand guns, because of NY's laws, we had to pay for then get it added to our permit then go back to pick it up usually 2 weeks later. A pain but sometimes had good deals. You could do hands on inspections for a couple of hours before the auction started. Bought several guns from them. Learned quickly to do the research ahead of time and make a list of what I was interested in with the top bid plus buyers fee that was still a good deal. First gun I bought was a new G19, I didn't do the list and got caught up in the bidding, still got ok deal but only saved about $10 over the local gun store and had to make the second hour long drive to pick it up instead of 15 minutes to my local dealer.
  15. For some reason this reminded me of a story a good old boy from VA told me 15 or so years ago. He said he hunted fish. I said how do you do that. He said it takes a 12g and a loaf of bread. You climbs into a tree that over hangs the lake, breaks up the bread and throws it down into the lake. Waits for a few minutes then shoot both barrels into the lake, climbs down and starts collecting your catch as they float to the surface. Same guy had raccoon hides nailed to his shed wall in a V formation like they were flying.
