My AR is complete as of about 10 minutes ago when the UPS guy came to the door. No need for lengthy expressions of joy I'm sure, so here's a couple of pics (sort of poor quality, but you get the idea).

In all fairness Mars wasn't the one actually slamming the gun in question .

I shot it today for the first time, and I must say it is the most accurate gun out of the box I have shot to date. By the end of the 100 rounds I ran through it I was able to get my shots within a 3" circle which is better than any of my other guns were in their first 100 rounds. The double action shots are the most off target but after 2 mags of only double action I managed to bring them closer. I also bought some houge grips for it after I got done shooting so now I need to go back to the range to test them out...almsot like I planned it that way. $550 didn't seem that expensive compared to a new one.

I think you're missing the point here. On one hand people who like Oreo's give cookie lovers in general a bad name but on the other hand people who only like Chips Ahoy use anit-cookie sentiment to belittle fellow cookie lovers.

Don't know what she wants to carry, but I did promise her a p22 for her b-day.

It started as a harmless trip to the gun shop, I just wanted to look around and see if they had anything new. I soon realized that any trip to a gun shop on a payday is not harmless and before I knew it I was making a purchase. I know you all want to know what it is already so I'll skip the back story and get to it. I bought a Sig CPO 229 in .40 S&W. It has some minor holster wear, very minor, but that really doesn't matter because I intend it to be a daily carry weapon and I don't particularly care what it looks like. After field stripping, cleaning, and dry firing I can already tell that it is one of the best made pistols I have ever held, regardless of previous use. I'll try to get some pictures up later tonight, I keep forgetting to ask for my camera back... Guess its time to look for a new avatar.

Well I've been real busy with work and school so I haven't had much time to dedicate to the project, or to posting on forums . However I did order an upper this morning. I went with the stag 2H as opposed to the 2HT above, the only difference if the one I ordered doesn't have the quad rail handgaurd. I figured that was something I could order later and at the price I got the 2H for I can't complain. I never got my camera back so pics are still going to have to wait...probably until the gun is completed...

Nah, he doesn't think the 1911 has been around long enough to be proven technology. Wouldn't so much as consider the other two.

Well I have an AK and I'm building an AR, and well mosins are cheap enough that I might as well run out and buy one to cover all bases.

I'll be there if I don't have to work.

I got the stock on today without any issues. I will take a pic later as Ashley has commandeered my camera for the day. As for ordering the upper looks it will have to wait until next Thursday...
