  1. Skip the middleman you can get that direct from the manufacturer with free shipping 80lb for $35 Generic 542040G-80 Blast Media
  2. Glad you found it! Ask Chip Prece about the burn pile and cell phones next time you come out. I still laugh about that one.
  3. Scores are posted on our website here: IDPA FEB 5,2011 Match I was very pleased to see so many new faces at the range today, thank you for coming out and making this a success. If you had a good time today please do come back for a regular match it is much better.
  4. I will have a few extra pistol rugs if someone doesn't have a suitable case.
  5. It is just fine as long as it stays open with the gun out of it, for this match we designed it so all the starting positions are from low ready or from a table top. This was to make it new shooter friendly as not everyone has all the required gear if they haven't tried this before. If you aren't using a holster for this match have a case or pistol rug to transport your gun between stages.
  6. Think About It Glad to hear you are going to come out and give it a go!
  7. Welcome
  8. Welcome
  9. It will be a single elimination bracket match, until it gets down to the final 2 shooters then it will go to winner of 2 out of 3. The brackets will be determined by drawing out of a hat. It is a lot of fun. Our last man on man I had a good day or got lucky and took it. If we have a large pool it could take several runs if you are doing well. You can never bring too much ammo.
  10. Figured I better follow up here ... Makes me look like my reloads could be timed with a sun dial
  11. Not bad for an old guy
  12. Welcome
  13. Charlie, You ready to start run'n & gun'n again? Be good to see you back on the range.
  14. Welcome

  17. Hey Matt are you qualified enough for a sig line like that? Just asking ...
  18. You are just not quite right in the head
  19. Dave This event has been designed to target people like yourself who have been thinking about trying some type of practical competition. Don't let this pass you by, come on out with a pistol you are comfortable with.
  20. Rick, That is a great post. I first started shooting IDPA when I was in the process of getting my carry permit. My motivations were to learn to handle my weapon better and get some practical practice on a regular basis. After a couple of matches the competitive aspect of it took over for me, however I am still learning every single time I shoot a match and getting some practical practice. IDPA is what you make of it, we do have a few regulars that shoot purely for the practice and are not trying to get down to that last second.
  21. SSP is more of a "stock" type division, ESP has more allowances for modifications and single action triggers. There is no advantage per say as you compete in your division. That way a guy with a Glock isn't trying to compete directly with a tricked out 9mm 1911 with a sweet 1 pound trigger.
  22. We had some new TGO faces out to the range today. Maybe some of you can chime in and tell us about your experience.
  23. Matt, Thanks for the quick turn around on the scores. Everyone, Full results have been posted to the MCTS website IDPA JAN 15,2011 Match Regards, Greg Bell VIce President MCTS
  24. I put together a couple of low round count scenario stages and some basic drills. They can be seen on the MCTS website at this link: http://www.mctsclub.com/MCTS_IDPA_Intro.pdf Hope to see all of you shooters at the range to give this a try and meet your fellow TGO members.
