  1. Plugs are optional not going to hurt anything. I run with TruGrip on my competition gun, no way in hell I'd do that on a carry gun it is too rough tears up clothing and skin.

    Car towing tips

I had a Dak with 4.7 and towed a 5,000 pound travel trailer. A car on a dolly or trailer is no problem for you. You can rent a car trailer with surge brakes. Run the trans in haul mode and if it starts to shift up and down excessively pull it down a gear. The extra shifting causes heat which will shorten the life of a trans, the extra rpms will not hurt the motor. Also don't be concerned if your fan-clutch locks up, it will be louder than hell and probably scare you if you have never had one do that. It is simply doing its job to keep the motor cool.
  3. Mike, Pretty difficult to draw or re-holster with directly covering major portions of your anatomy. Again to be clear I'm not debating this as a valid concealed carry option just not suitable for competition.
  4. IWB at the hip or just behind is fine. If you go to far back it will be very difficult for you to draw and keep your muzzle down range. Failure to do this would be a safety violation. IDPA was founded to more closely simulate self defense scenarios but it does have to bend a bit for safety considerations. A lot of people carry at the appendix or even a j-frame in a pocket, all perfectly acceptable in the real world just not at a match.
  5. Again not entirely accurate a lot of people who become organ donors have suffered critical injuries that make their care very difficult and labor intensive to manage. This is being done while everything else is being done in the background to facilitate the donation process. http://www.donatelifetn.org http://www.tndonorregistry.org

    Car towing tips

the u-haul car trailers have surge brakes on them no controller needed A full size truck with a decent V8 is not going to struggle with a 4,000 load, +1 on tires run them at max sidewall pressure.
  7. Disclaimer I work in this industry and fully support it Sign up online here Donate Life Tennessee No medical professional is going to let you die if you are a donor. My employer in no way financially profits from this, every organ procurement organization in the country is non-profit.
  8. On my wifes Cherokee: OEM Goodyear - 30k Kelly - 40k these could have gone another 10-15k if had kept up on rotations
  9. Bob, As long as you keep laying down $20's you can keep shooting until we get too tired and hungry.
  10. I had to put on the hip waders before stepping into this thread.
  11. I had a Kipor (chinese honda clone) 3K watt unit when I was into RVing. A very nice unit it was about an 18" cube on wheels weighed 135 pounds very quiet.
  12. Nothing beats reloading, I'm too cheap to shoot even factory 9mm.
  13. Tim, Very cool he is handling that gun great!
  14. Don't let a Glock23 keep you from shooting matches. That is my carry gun and I shot it for several years in IDPA before I got all gamey and went to a G34. I even went retro and shot the G23 in our last match and did just fine with it. It's the shooter not the gun that wins matches.
  15. Drew, We are very new shooter friendly at Music City Tactical Shooters www.mctsclub.com Take a look at our website, we have some new shooter info available there. Please feel free to contact me directly with any questions that you may have.
  16. Scores are posted: IDPA AUG 7,2010 Match Mike, Glad you had a good time
  17. Unless you are some kind of mister wizard you will need thier usb device, it does not appear to be a standard type of device.
  18. Ditto I added the usb connection to connect it to my laptop.
  19. Bob, Thanks for the sharp eye, I had revised that stage but not corrected the round count.
  20. Kemp, I stepped in there and bought primers for my first batch of reloads a couple of years ago, before the run on primers. I haven't been back since, it's cheaper to pay hazmat and shipping than buying from them.
  21. I've shoot with both Sam and Gary, excellent shooters!
  22. That really isn't bad, by the time we get all broke down and then stop for food that is normal for our Dickson matches.
  23. Thats a bit of a trek what time did you get home?
