Sissy......all the crap you gave me at the Run&Gun about not coming out! The Music City Cup (November 5th) is on my anniversary. I can not believe you forgot the anniversary.

Registrations are flooding in nicely before the early deadline(especially the last Thursday and Friday). I am hoping we do not cut off registrations(walk-ins) because this was not our original intention. This may be premature. As clubs are watching all of their operating expenses this was a win - win for all parties. However with the 49 clubs within the 7-9 states, there are simply not enough committed clubs willing to save on shipping costs for targets and pasters with Target Barn. Only 5 clubs committed in the offer(1 was iffy). This will not be worth any vendor to waste advertising and transportation costs for the low turnout for club savings. Now I understand that we all may have different vendors we buy supplies from but there will not be a better deal on IDPA targets in the area. I will be contacting the sponsor tomorrow to discuss as I feel that we will not be able to make this trip worthwhile for his business. I am sorry about this as this was a prize sponsor of the match as well as a match sponsor. That was money we did not need to lose as we will probably will have to purchase the targets for the match.

I thought I was meeting Chip at 100 Oaks. Ended up waiting for him about 45 minutes before the Vandy cop came around and asked a lot of questions.

I was up at 5 AM.

Yes. We have intro to competitive shooting matches (or BUG matches) that this will be perfect in. However if that is what you carry, use it in a regular match. I carry a G34 and shoot it in the matches.

Nope.

Chamber flags are actually 1 for 3.00 or 2 for 5.00.

Handgun, Shotgun(pump or semi auto), rifle(magazine feed), normal range equipment(holster, mags, eyes & ear protection) and a smile! A person can be overwhelmed with the different equipment that people have, but don't worry. It will come with time and eventually money. Round Count: 31 pistol, 64 rifle, 27 birdshot and 8 slugs Minimum

Don't you hate wasting money on items that you will NEVER see a benefit from: SHIPPING!!!!! Target Barn will be at the range to sell (IDPA and USPSA if needed) targets and pasters to any club that needs to save on normal shipping cost. The average price is 297.50 per 500 targets plus 120.00 shipping(62.00 per 100 targets plus shipping). This ends of being around 0.82-0.86 per target. Mr. Zimmerman is waiving the shipping/delivery fee and charging 570.00 per 1000 targets. This is 0.57 per target. He has 13,000 targets he can bring. This is a WIN-WIN situation for all those that need to watch club operating expenses. We had to place three separate orders because we did not keep up target consumption properly. NEVER AGAIN! We hope that all club representatives attending the match will participate in some sort. It will be a shame that we can not make this worthwhile and everlasting for Target Barn to sponsor matches in our area. Please send all order requests to President@mctsclub.com so that I may get these handled before the match. We look forward to saving all of the regional 14 IDPA clubs in TN and our neighbors.

Matt has arranged a vendor to be onsite to cook burgers / sausages. They will have homemade potato salad, baked beans, sweet & understand tea, and all the fixings, etc.

If you are working the match, we still need your applications send in immediately. We need to true up the numbers so that we can plan accordingly with awards. All match officials should have sent in their applications before the 1st deadline of September 30th. I have asked trusted SO in the area and at other clubs to work the match and you may not get a spot if you don't turn it in within reasonable time. All postmarked mailed entries will be honored at the lower rate on September 30th and before. Anything marked on or after October 1st will be 90.00 per entry. Allan, Don't worry about the numbers, you are going to work your butt off that day(s)......LOL.

I can see both of them being really close friends after this generous gesture.

Slings are NOT required for your long guns. Scoring methods have been settled. Hope to see you there!

Brooks, I spoke to Greg from your church last week and we had some fun at your expense. I think he will be out that weekend also.
-
Another sponsor of the match will be King's Custom Coatings(Refinishing Price List). They will be sponsoring 1000.00 worth of prize certificates for their services.
-
Use iron sights. Quit wearing the dress and man up! Need help call. I may have one to loan to you.

We are 1 week away from the September 30th price increase. There is no sense in shooting the match and paying more than needed. Hope to see you there!

Our typical matches are as following: 35 yrds maximum on pistol / 150 yrds maximum on rifle / 75 to 100 yrds maximum on slugs / 15 yrds maximum birdshot With that being said, I have no idea what the MD has in store for this match in regards to distance. Steel targets should not be shot at with pistol within 10 yrds and in order not to penetrate the steel with rifle calibers (small - .223) 100yrds (large - 30-06 / 308) 125 to 150 yrds.
