I have found for 1911's and Sig's that 250 FMJ followed by 50 JHP works for me. The Glocks, XD's, M&P's etc. I shoot 100 FMJ and 25 JHP.

I hear good things about Krebs Custom and Arizona Response Systems.

Of all the 1911 holsters I have tried (and it was a bunch) the best one for me is a Galco NSA (not an NSA II). You can still find them on ebay. I have prob tired over 50 and keep coming back to this one. For kydex it is hard to go wrong with the Comp-Tacs or Blade-Tech.

I have a DPMS LR308 and a Federal Ordinance M1A. After shooting them both I really prefer the DPMS. I would sell the Federal Ordinance if you are interested (it is a pre 8000 serial numbered gun which USGI parts were used and has 20 documented rounds through it). PM if your interested.

A buddy of mine has one of those and I got to shoot it the other day. It shot really well. About .75 MOA and I am no sharpshooter. Put some good glass on it if you get one. (He had a leupold MK4).

I fondled a FNAR at Hero Gear on Saturday. It impressed me. Did some reading on it today and it is suppossed to be a shooter. I like my AR-10 but would like to shoot a FNAR to see how it compares. If I only had (1) AR-15 I would not trade for the FNAR though. AR-15 is too versitle and ammo is easier to get.

I think I remember seeing on at On Target in Murfreesboro for rent, not sure.

Hard to beat trijicons they seem to stay the brightest the longest. I have had good luck with meprolights also.

I have shot both and prefer the M&P.

Does anyone know a good revolver gunsmith? I have a Colt DS-II and I need a trigger job and the trigger radiused. Thanks

I carry in a smart carry holster. Don't plan on having to draw it while on the bike (I'll just ride away). It is for when I stop for gas/eat etc.

I heard a rumor that Wal-Mart sold Federal 150 grn .308 for 12.97 per box (20). I looked at 5 wal-marts and 3 had the space for it on the shelf but all were out. I just happened to be in Jackson, TN and thier wal-mart had 6 boxes. I bought them all. They said they just got them in that morning.

My favorite bolt .223 is a Remington 700 LTR. It has a 20" bull barrel and will shoot the lights out.

I had a SS Delta Elite for a while, it was flawless. I think Wilson makes mags for them that might help your reliability problem. The one I had I sold for 850 about 6 years ago.

Get in touch with CCR for the refinishing work, what I've seen they do a good job.

Anyone know where to get a good deal on some .308? Anything but Wolf or corrosive.

Glock 23 is a fine weapon, you made a good choice.

The glock 36 is the only glock I have ever broke. Bought one brand new and the recoil spring assembly broke after 100 rounds. Glock replaced the parts no charge, but I got rid of it after that. I was not a fan of how it shot either.

I shot 5,000 rounds of .40 alum case blazer without one problem in 2006. Was all shot out of a glock 22.
