  1. I have the beretta 390 with a wood stock. It has been flawless for me the last 10 years of pheasant hunting and sporting clays. If you are going to take it in the duck blind, you really need the synthetic stocked one. Walmart is hard to beat on the price of the synthetic one.
  2. I would keep dryfiring that sig. It has a good long DA trigger that will build up the muscles you need for good trigger control. Snap Caps or ball and dummy drills are excellent teachers on the range.
  3. Anyone ever train here? I won a free class in a silent auction (Level II Pistol). Is it any good? Just wanting to know your thoughts on this place. Tried the search and didn't turn up anything. Thanks
  4. Can you tell me the difference between the 22-250 and the 22-250AI (ackley improved?) I am planning out a varmit gun and my cousin swears by the 22-250. I have all the reloading stuff for .223 and that is what I was leaning towards. Can you shoot 22-250 and 22-250AI through the same gun? Thanks
  5. I watched it. I thought they did a good job on the show.
  6. S&B is good to go.......
  7. I sent a gun to the Colt custom shop for some work. It was in my hands the day they said it would be when I sent it in to them. You have to love a well ran shop.........
  8. I use a Smart Carry (G26 or Sig P239) when I carry on the bike. Or the LCP clipped inside my pocket.
  9. My wife carried this gun for a couple of years. I was really impressed with the accuracy.
  10. Have you tried Corbon DPX??

    Scout Rifles

If you are wanting to build one on the cheap, why not an SKS (regular or para model). Good caliber, mount a fwd optic on the gas tube and you are good to go......
  12. 3-400 depending on which mount comes with it if it is in good shape.
  13. You get what you pay for. I would not use any light besides the surefire integral forend on a shotgun. We issue all of our shotguns at work with this light and I also have one on my personal shotgun. If you shop around you can find a good deal. I have found them used for around $150-200 on another site.
  14. I for one did not like the Beretta. I had a Beretta 96. It was my first pistol, bought it cause it looked cool in a magazine. I found it too large to carry concealed, and it was also too heavy. For around the same money, you can get a gun that is much lighter and still has the same magazine capacity (Glock 19). I also found the DA trigger to be too long and hard to pull. If I had to have an all steel DA/SA 9mm it would be a Sig P226. You can usually find CPO's for a decent price if you shop around.
  15. I like Polytec Aresenal and Krebs custom.
  16. Wilson Combat makes one. Also Gould and Goodrich. I tried leather and have to say I like the Blade tec one best of all.
  17. I have one of those from my grandfather too. What a neat gun.
  18. Detroit PD needs about 10X the rifles they ordered....
  19. I like Mika's pocket holsters, not much to look at but get the job done.
  20. m&p 9c is a good choice. My wife likes the Glock 26 best. Also try a sig p239 9mm.
  21. I had the TA01 ACOG on my work gun. I really liked it for distance shooting (50-250 yards). I did not like it for clearing buildings. I prefer zero magnification for that. I see the updated ACOG model (TA01 NSN) actually has a rifle sight on top of it or a provision for mounting a jpoint red dot sight above it. Might be the way to go if you have the coin. The model I had featured the illuminated crosshairs with BDC (which was right on) so I can't comment on the chevron. I ended up going with an EOTECH. My only complaint about the EOTECH is the battery life. Mine takes the N type batteries and the battery life is nothing to write home about. I tried a double A model but it was too big to run with my BUIS. Another more cost effective option that a buddy of mine has and I have shot a few times is the trijicon reflex sight. It has a triangle recticle that did very good from (0-100 yards) for us. I think they are around $300 and no batteries. BTW I bought my ACOG on ar15.com for around $600.
  22. We issue Federal 180 grain Tactical Bonded. 40s&w
  23. Its a good weapon, half of my dept. carries it. We have had no negative issues with them (other than the occasional loose front sight).
  24. GT is backordered on both.
  25. F%$# paypal. I have never used it and never will. If people wont take a good ole USPS money order, cash, or my debit card then I don't want what they are selling.
