You're supposed to clean these things!? I usually just throw it under the seat of my truck when I'm not useing it.
-
I shot some others that had scopes and that made a big difference. A lot more fun to shoot, so I guess it's time to buy a scope.
-
I've not decided yet, but I'm thinking something like a CZ Rami or something in a .45

I don't quite know what it is, but this .22 rifle just isn't any fun. Though, I'm having a blast with my Sig P6. I don't know if it's the fact that I can't see where the bullets hit because I don't have a scope, or if it's the round that makes me not like it, or maybe I don't like rifles. I've only shot .22 rifles and this one is the only one I've ever owned. I don't have a scope and the binoculars I have aren't strong enough to see the holes in the target. I guess I need to get with someone that has rifles and see if I can shoot a couple different ones.

HAHA, just noticed this post today. I just got back from there again today. He's making the rifle range wider to accommodate more shooters.

Astra900- So you use an electronic scale? I went to Hornady's site but didn't see a beam scale listed.
-
The dies are great and the press is also good. But, this scale and measure suck. The scale will show it over and then I'll bump it and it will settle out at zero, or closer to zero anyway, and the measure leaks all over. The lyman scale looks better than this lee that I have, but I don't know if I want to try another beam scale. But then I wonder if the cheaper digital scales are worth buying, either. Maybe someone will post up with experience with the cheaper digital scales.

I reloaded a few rounds tonight. The equipment I bought came with a lee perfect Powder measure and powder scale. I really don't like this scale or powder measure. Does anyone make a good digital scale that doesn't cost $150? Or are any other brand scales or measures any better than the ones I have?

Yes, get it. I just got one and love it. Mine weighs 31.8 ounces with 9 rounds. They come with 2 8-round mags, you can get 10-round mags but I haven't looked for any yet.

HP-38 is made by Hodgden as well. I know you can use both in a 9mm as Hodgden's lists it for both powders on there site. I'm just curius about 1st hand experiences with them

I recently purchased some reloading equipment, it came with HP-38 and Clays. In searching on here, I didn't find anyone useing these for their 9mm, so I thought I'ld ask. How well do these powders work for 9mm loads?

All cars do that not just post 96 yotas. Even carbureted cars do it to a point, just not electronicly and not as efficiently as fuel injection.

There was one 5-shot revolver in the group. It was kinda funny, reminded me of the movie Harlem Nights. Evrybody shooting all at once and then a pause, while the guy with the revolver loads 1 more round, and 1 more shot fired. I talked to her again today, and she said it was about 12 years ago that she first got her permit. So was the requirements different then?
-
Do different classes make up there own requirements? When I was at the range yesterday, the guy that owned the place showed up with 7 people to shoot for there cert. I talked to him about it for a few minutes. IIRC, he said the state required shooting from 3,7, and 15 yards, or 3, 5, 7, and 15 yards, or something like that. But he added 10 yards for his class. A women that I worked with said the class she took had them shoot all the way back to 25 yards and had her shoot one handed, right and left.

Maybe they have uped the ethanol content. Try a different brand of gas. I've always got the best mileage out of Shell and Sunoco, and I always use premium in everything I drive. 87 octane isn't 87 octane by the time it gets to your tank.

This is the second time I've been to the range to shoot my P6. This is my first handgun, the first time at the range I didn't do so good. I've since done some reading and some dry fire practice. Here's my first 16 shots(8-shot mags), for today, from 7yds Here's my last 20 shots, 8 from 15yds, 8 from 7yds, and 4 from 7yds strong hand only. The 4 marked 15 and the one in the 10-ring are from 15yds

I'ld buy a couple

I think I'm going to reload some. From what I've seen on the web, I'm pretty confident that i will enjoy it. AFA casting goes, I haven't looked into it much so I don't know if I will try it. All I've got right now, that can be reloaded anyway, is 9mm

I went with the Sig already, but what do you mean, in my instane? In what instance would you recommend the Ruger over the Sig?
-
WOW, from washing an engine out with water to the thermal breakdown of KY

Well I looked around online and everywhere I looked was out of stock. But even at $269 and you add in shipping and the transfer fee from a local FFL you're over $300, right? I went again today and got it for $325. It seems to shoot good. It has some holster wear, but camparing it to other guns there it looks like it wasn't shot much.
