  3. What about businesses that don't want firearms? Do they have to post similiar to Tn or is a "no firearms permitted" sign sufficient? I have looked through the links provided and searched elsewhere, but didn't find an answer

    AR sights

I plan to use it at the range and probably a carbine course at some point and I may ty hunting with it. And it is a Colt

    AR sights

No rail on the handgaurd or the gas block.
  6. Superman

    AR sights

I am new to ARs and just bought one. It doesn't have sights, just a rail on top. I know I can put a rear sight on the rail. But what are my options for a front sight? other than a red dot or aimpoint/eotech.
  7. Todd@CIS did a demonstration similiar to this in the class I took. He stood about 20 feet away from one of the other participants and he could cover the 20 feet in about the same time the guy could draw a gun. So depending on how fast the threat is and how fast you can draw your weapon you may or may not be able to defend yourself. If someone is threatening me and a car is between us or not, I will atleast have a grip on my gun and be ready to draw.

    Clearance Score

I found this in all the searching I have done this weekend about hunting. I don't know how accurate it is.

  10. Also wild hog is year round and no limit on private lands. You don't have to take the hunter education course to try it out. You can gat an Apprentice Hunting License for $11. But when you go hunting you have to go with someone 21 or older that has a regular hunting license. I've been looking into trying out hunting and have been trying to gather some info before I jump in.
  11. Then you are in fear for your life, shoot them all.
  12. Nothing is going to happen. Sober people can't even pic out a concealed firearm . Some drunk is going to go around groping everyone to find a gun and then shoot up the place? I don't think so.
  13. I'm in Manchester, never been to those 2 places.
  14. I meant no one got expelled because of the rifle in their truck, but i don't recall anyone getting expelled for any other reason either. It was a small school. My class graduated with about 50 or 60 people.
  15. I went to high school in Arkansas, we moved here during my senior year. I have to say, things were much simplier in Arkansas. I can recall many times where some students had rifles hanging in the back glass of their pickups, and no-one shot anybody or got expelled.
  16. wjh2657- I don't understand any of this. You sound just like the anti-gunners. HCP holders aren't going to shoot-up the Walmart parking lot with ARs or AKs. This is a non-issue because it's just not going to happen. Just like we're not going to have drunks engaging in shootouts at O'Charleys. People that think like this are insane. the one thing that I really want to know is how many of you that say you shouldn't leave your handgun in your car because it might get stolen, are going to keep a loaded long gun in their car?
  17. I was wondering when someone would bring up zombies.
  18. Out in the woods somewhere, yes. Handguns wouldn't work to well on bears. But I'm talking about while out in town on any given day. And I'm not asking "when would I need one?" I'm asking "When has anyone ever needed one?" Has there ever been a time when anyone has needed more firepower than a handgun. The likely hood of me needing my handgun is slim, but it could happen so I carry it everyday.
  19. I am starting this thread to keep Truthsayer's thread on topic. Why would you want to keep a long gun in your vehicle? Isn't one of the arguments we use to get restuarant carry and park carry to keep our guns out of our cars? It would be very difficult to weild a long gun while sitting in your car. And it would be very time consuming to run to your car to reteive the long gun. This is true, but when has anyone ever needed a long gun after firing several rounds with their handgun. I'm not condemning anyone for having a truck gun. If you want to keep one in your car/truck, that's fine by me. I'm just curious as to why one would need or want a long gun in their car, other than it's your right and you just want to.

    Truck Guns

If your wife wants to carry a loaded weapon in the car, she needs to get a permit. AFA loaded long guns. I don't see a need to carry one all the time. The moment you need to defend yourself, you likely won't have time to get it and chamber a round. Whether you are out of your vehicle or inside it, it will be quicker and easier to draw and fire your handgun.
  21. And about 29% of the population is under 21, so if you take them out of the equation that takes the 3.5 % to about 5% or about 1 in 20

  23. I don't like the new design. I like the way the finger grooves are, but I don't like the feel of the grips. If they would put the new finger grooves on the 3rd gen it would be better. They have a new 22 at a local pawn shop.
  24. Sure they could. Just change the permit to a conceal carry permit and let anyone who wants to carry openly
