  1. From my understanding the Supreme Court has already ruled that the 2nd ammendment includes firearms, right? I don't think he will try to ban guns, he will try to reinstate the AWB and try to make ammo out of reach for most people.
  2. I've been looking around at getting a handgun. It will be my first handgun. Would like to get a little feedback on these 2 guns. Will be going to another place to look around tomorrow. The Ruger is about $250 and the Sig is about $350.
  3. Yes people are this dumb. They pull up to a gas pump and put 87 octane in their deisel powered truck. They drain the oil out of their deisel trucks(3-4 gallons) and dump 5 quarts in and run it. They run out of gas and crank on it till the battery dies and call there brother and say the batteries dead. They accidently turn the dimmer switch for the dash lights all the way down and take it to a shop saying the dash lights are out. They call a wrecker because their car won't start and the wrecker driver moves the shifter from drive to park and it starts right up. They take their car in for a brake fluid leak or have it towed cause a brake pad fell out, turns out the pad fell out because they let the brakes grind until the rotor was thin enough to let the pad fall out. Or they have a brake fluid leak because the pad is completely gone and the caliper piston popped out of the caliper. I could go on for ever and likely think of some better ones for ya.
  4. I had posted on ya'lls forum before, but now the forum is gone. I guess it didn't get enough activity to keep it. Where do ya'll wheel at mostly?
  5. Hey, what's up? Your a member of MTTR, aren't ya?
  6. That's absolutely hilarious and sad at the same time. It's hard to believe sometimes, but there are people that dumb.
  7. MudBugjr- I'm just a few miles from exit 105. BMcCoy- there is plenty of riding to be done in Tracy City. I know it's kind of a long drive for you, but your more than welcome to come out on one of our rides. We have members in the Club from around Nashville and as far south as Alabama. DamnLocals.com There is usually one scheduled ride every month. Our next ride is on Dec. 13th. Our last ride we had a stock Nissan p-up with all terains with us, there is always a bypass around the harder obstacles.
  8. Yeah I graduated in '98 and at the HS I went to nothing bad happened if you had a rifle or shotgun on the gunrack in your truck. But I do remember a kid at another school got in trouble for kneeling in the end zone to say a quick prayer after scoring a touchdown. Don't remember exactly what happened, but it didn't stop our school from doing stuff like that. They still even said a prayer over the loud speaker before the games. But then I went to a very some school, graduating class was about 45 people. I would imagine there are still small towns that haven't caught up to the "political correctness" of todays world.
  9. Yeah I used to have a 400 EX, a lot of fun. I didn't do anything really hard mostly just trail riding. But the guys I went with always wanted to hit the hard stuff. It was doable, but a lot harder on a 2wd sport 4 wheeler. I wasn't interested in the harder stuff, so I sold it.
  10. Yes it can be a very expensive hobby. Here's a couple shots of before the full widths and 38s, It had 33" swampers here
  11. Anybody else here go wheelin? I mostly go in Tracy City. I've got an '84 Bonco II with a fuel injected 5.0 full width axles on 38" swampers. I don't have any good pics of it since I finished the full width swap mines the red one, the camo one is another Bronco II with 37" boggers and the black one is a 4Runner on 44" swampers
  12. Thanks for the welcome. I hope to learn a lot here and take some training classes as well. That looks like it's about 5 miles from my house. I'll have to check them out. Thanks
  13. Hello, my name's Bruce. I'm an auto mechanic in Manchester. I'm new to the site, obviously, but new to guns as well. I have shot some in the past, a Marlin .22 and a 9mm but don't remember brand or model. My interest in guns has really peaked lately and finally bought my first gun, a Remington 597 .22lr Wanting to get a handun to, but haven't decided what to get yet. Planning to make a trip to Hero Gear this coming weak and maybe get one if I can decide what to get. I've thought about getting one that can be converted to shoot .22LR ammo, but someone told me today that with those conversions alot of them will only shoot really expensive .22 ammo. So where do you guys in Coffee County go to shoot?
