  1. I am seriously considering a 19 for EDC as well.
  2. 96 F250 with 240k miles Also have a 84 Bronco II on 38" Swampers powered by a 5.0, but it isn't exactly street legal. I am a Mustang guy at heart, but the last one I had got hit in the side so it got parted out and the fuel injection put on the Bronco II. Off roading has taking priority over hot rods.
  3. First I'ld like to thank Chuck and Bo for putting on an awesome class, they are great instructors. This is a 1 day course. I had a lot of fun and learned a lot as well. Chuck covered shooting while moving, from cover, prone, kneeling, off-hand/support side shotting. Transitioning to handgun, speed reloads, tactical reloads, and meu soc drill-handgun and carbine. Being new to firearms, I did better than I thought I would. This is a great class that I think anyone could learn from, I will definitely do it again. I highly recommend anyone to take any course from Safety South.
  4. That is exactly what it looks like, grips and all.
  5. Wow, what a sweet shootin' gun. A friend let me borrow it and I don't think I want to give it back.
  6. I thought you had the whole year already planned out? Where are the rules for this month?
  7. My guess is there was a logo that they couldn't or didn't want to show.
  8. So what is their true stance and where did you get that info?
  9. The Obama administration is no where close to pro-gun. They are very much anti-gun, just look at his and everyone he has appointed track record. If they aren't anti-gun then why are they pushing the Inter-American Convention Against Illicit Manufacturing of and Trafficking in Firearms, Ammunition, Explosives, and Other Related Materials treaty? And yes there may be bigger fish to fry, but this is a gun forum, so most of the threads here are going to be gun related. If we let up on them they will sneak in anti-gun bills so we have to stay on them about everything. The day we back off on gun issues we loose the right. When we loose the right to firearms we loose our freedom and crime rates will skyrocket. When other countries have imposed more strict gun control their crime rates rise dramaticly. The lowered income tax is a joke. See my other post in this thread. This is true, but then Obama wants to appoint a racsist judge to the Supreme Court that thinks the Bill of Rights only applies to Washington DC
  10. You ended your first post with "and please remember, above all, being ignorant is un-american." With that it read like you were calling people ignorant and un-American.
  11. While I wouldn't send a pm like that I can see where he is coming from. Correct me if I'm wrong, but you come on here and start a thread calling everyone ignorant for not thinking Obama is a good president and also called the same people un-American. Then you make a post saying you hadn't read any of the posts in the thread you started. So yeah you're going to piss a lot of people off. If you want to state your opinions that's fine, but that thread was attacking just about everyone on here, IMO.
  12. OK, Obama lowered the income tax but with the way the tax tables are written if you work 2 jobs or your spouse works you will be writing a check next April. He and the dems want to force everyone to buy government approved health insurance, they raised taxes on tobacco, they want to put a tax on emails, he suggested that vets should have to use their personal health insurance for war injuries, he wants to take over GM, they want to shut down conservative talk radio. And I believe everyone he has appointed is atleast anti-2nd ammendment if not anti-bill of rights. And don't get me started on Cap and Trade, this is something that he wants and it will cause gas prices and utilities to sky-rocket. So here is what I propose we should all send Obama apology and thank-you cards for all that he has done to us and what he is going to atleast try to do. Obama said he was going to bring change and by god if he gets everything he wants that's all you will be left with is a little bit of change CK1-If being ignorant is un-american, then quit being un-american
  13. Range is located approximately 10 miles south of downtown Franklin, Tennessee in Williamson county. From I-65 South/North take the Peytonsville Road exit, #61; go West about .7 mile to the red light at South US 431 (Lewisburg Pike); turn South (towards Lewisburg) onto US 431 and go approximately 6.5 miles to Owl Hollow Road; turn west onto Owl Hollow Road; the range is located approximately 1.1 miles on the left side of the road. Approximate GPS Coordinates for those with GPS devices: Latitude 35.7606 N ; Longitude -86.8571 W
  14. We have 2 in Manchester. P&T range on Archery Lane $5 per hour IIRC, you need your own target stand on the pistol range. I have only been there once. You have to call to let him know when you're coming. 212-6209 Then there is Terry Waldens place on 16th Model Road, $5/day Sunrise to sunset M-Sat. 12:30 till dark on Sunday 300 meter rifle range, not marked off, and the pistol side is marked off to 50 meters. Signs say no shotguns, but I see shells there all the time. I go to this one all the time, it is just a few miles from my house. Then there is Hoselton's in Tullahoma, but I don't think it is finished yet. There number is 931-455-5553 There is also one in Viola, it is $6/day And Welcome to TGO
  15. That's what I was thinking.
  16. A 17 year old boy sneeks out of his house in the middle of the night and goes to a party or something. He drinks and likely smoked pot and god only knows what else. About 5 am he gets pulled over for a rolling stop. The officer suspects he has been drinking and does whatever it is they do and arrests said 17 year old for a DUI and drug posession. Now there are 3 passengers in the car ages 23-27, my guess is there drunk to. Now I am not defending the 17 year old, he screwed up, but shouldn't the officer arrest the adults?
  17. I had originally planned to take the handgun class from Safety South last weekend, but I wasn't able to make it. So I signed up for this class. Great class, Todd and Dustin did a great job. While I was hoping to fire more rounds than I did, I think we fired 175-200 rounds, it was the best 200 rounds I have ever fired. I have been shooting for less than a year, and I have been to the range at least twice a month since. But I think I learned more today, than I have in all those range sessions combined. Now I can make better use of my range time by working on the things from this class. I had a lot of fun and learned a lot. Equipment wise this class has got me thinking about getting away from a DA/SA pistol for my EDC.
  18. I'm gonna be there and I would love to try out a PS90. I was just at Hero Gear drooling over the PS2000. Need to decide if I want to get it or build myself an AR.
  19. You did post one on the open side, didn't you?
  20. $35 a year is less than 10 cents per day. So I have to say it is very much worth it.
  21. Yeah, there is a thread on this in "newsworthy reports". http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/newsworthy-reports/21109-bill-proposed-take-firearms-right-wing.html It is in committee with 6 co-sponsors. Hopefully it doesn't come out.
  22. .45 case is about .050 longer than a .40 case
  23. I remember Todd@CIS saying he's had people go through his pistol course use brown bear and have zero issues. That says a lot, I think, 1000 rounds in 2 days and no problems.
  24. I've shot some through my Sig and have zero problems. I would buy more given the chance. The last I bought, a few months ago, was $90 for 500, now it's $160 or more for 500 rounds
