  1. It's still in committee right now, and I don't expect it to come out.

    Whats next....

    A pocket 9, like a Kelt-tec PF9, or something in a .45 like a FNP45 or a Sig P220
  3. I used 1" oak for the table top and it is 36" from the floor. So I can stand or sit on a stool.
  4. I think I may stop in there tomorrow, since it will be raining all day.
  5. Short answer, Alcohol. It's just an easy excuse to go out and party.
  6. +1 on the Kholster. Just got mine in earlier this week. Very comfortable, adjustable cant and depth. And you can trim the leather off after you set it up the way you want. Very comfortable and has a lifetime warranty, $45 shipped. Enter this code, 336017, for 10% discount.
  7. I got one while they were on sale, and I gotta say I like it. I have thought about trimming it, but it doesn't bother me like it is.
  8. You going to Thunder on the Rock?
  9. I'll pickup whatever 45 I see and you can get it on the 16th
  10. I don't think I've ever seen any .38 or .357 brass there. I might see 10-15 pieces of .45 when I go.
  11. If anybody needs some 40 brass, let me know and I can probably get some. There is always some at the range when I go, but I never pick it up. I'll be going to Smyrna and Franklin in the next few weeks. It looks like 40 is quite plentifull here. There seems to be more of it at the range than any other caliber. I might be able to get some .380 to, but I don't think I saw that much of it there.
  12. Why in the world would anybody pay to have this done? I started mine last night, took it apart and painted the bottom of the reciever, and then put it back together today. I'ld say it was one of the easiest things I have ever done.

    Apartments & Guns

My guess would be it is legal for them to not allow firearms.
  14. You don't read an entire thread either, huh scroll up a little, post #16
  15. Midway has some #7 1/2 shot 20 rounds for $8.19 Aguila 1 3/4"
  16. What if the robber has a buddy standing close to the door behind you. You pull your gun only to get shot. They covered this on an episode of Personal Defense TV, in their opinion the best option is to stay aware and be a good witness
  17. Voted against: *forcing employers to prove differences in pay is due only to job preformance, repeatedly Maybe the government should step in, but IDK *coporate accountability and executive over-compensationYes it sucks that these guys are over payed, but so are pro athletes. And the government has no business here. A bigger government is part of the problem. *auto industry resturcturing act - which I am sure isn't popular in TN anyhow, but does affect me and my family in a huge way. Again, none of the governments business. If they go bankrupt, oh well. If new cars cost to much buy used, they run just as good as a knew one. My truck has 240k miles on it and I wouldn't be afraid to go anywhere in it. *credit card holder bill of rightsAgain, none of the governments business. Don't like how you are treated. Get out of debt and quit using plastic. Live below your means, not above it. *minimizing college tuition and cost increases Again, really not any of the governments business, for private schools anyway *additional taxes on executive bonuses from companies under the TARP program. These companies shouldn't have got this money in the first place. They knew what they were going to do with it, they should have set terms for use before they gave it to them. The government has no right to target individuals with special taxes, but they do it all the time and we let them. She doesn't seem very middle class friendly to me...
  18. Well now we know why you wanted to get this going again, to show everyone up. Nice shootin'.
  19. Well I hope all these guys buying it up get stuck with every bit of it. And end up having to sell it for less than they paid.
  20. I got my permit this year at 29. Didn't buy my first gun until late last year. I didn't grow up around guns and didn't join the military. My dad didn't hunt and only owned a 2 guns that I am aware of and he didn't have them very long at all. So I never thought about it much. Getting a gun had crossed my mind from time to time, but I always had something else that took priority over it. I guess politics drew me into getting guns and a permit. I used to never keep up with what was going on in the world as much as I should have been, until recently. I have been trying to keep up with what is going on more and getting more active with it and it has grown from there. Getting my permit was just to add 1 more to the list. I never had any intention on carrying, I have never had an experience where I thought something bad was going to happen to me. About 5 years ago, my home was broken into while I was at work, when I came home the back door was busted open. But it never crossed my mind that something bad might happen to me. My parents didn't start locking thier doors during the day until the past couple years. The front door was always unlocked, even when they weren't home, they would lock the door before they went to bed. But after getting the permit, I thought if I ever need a gun and it's sitting at home I am going to feel like an idiot.
  21. There was a guy from Manchester on there that had a bunch of Blazer brass for $17.50 a box
  22. I think you could be targeted, but not very likely and not near as likely as a LEO. Lets say you've got 20 people, a couple are OCing and one is a LEO in uniform. Bad guy comes in, who do you think he is going to see first? A LEO stands out a whole lot more than anyone on here with a gun on there hip.
  23. Nothing there is a law on the books that exempts you from being charged if you use your gun in justified self defense, even if you say you were carrying. As posted earlier 39-17-1322. Defenses. — A person shall not be charged with or convicted of a violation under this part if the person possessed, displayed or employed a handgun in justifiable self-defense or in justifiable defense of another during the commission of a crime in which that person or the other person defended was a victim. [Acts 1994, ch. 943, § 1.]
