  1. Tim I have only removed one non-Savage barrel, and it was on a Remington. I applied several hundred ft-lbs of torque and it would not come loose. I used an abrasive disk to make relief cuts in the lug and the barrel came off by hand. I recommend a Remage reinstallation, not a repurposed barrel. Charlie
  2. Oops, did not read the rules. Moderator please delete
  3. They have had mine for 5 months. The status web site does not work and they won't return calls or emails.
  4. No offense taken, just my usual curt self.
  5. It would be handy if it were stolen, and it may spare you from having to educate a LEO, or judge, on the law.
  6. Does anyone know an engraver in Nashville or Franklin that can put a serial number on a receiver?
  7. I needed to ship a pistol to a plater in Alabama. My only previous experience where the manufacturer did not send me a shipping label involved paying an exorbitant rate at FedEx. I sent emails to several dealers in Middle Tennessee asking about shipping fees when a transfer is not involved. Only a couple even answered my inquire. One said FedEx comes every day but would not quote a rate. The next was from from Arms and Ammo in Franklin: Bring in a Post Office Form 1508 for our signature and you can take it to the post office. $13.00 next business day! It probably would have been less in a smaller box if I had just wrapped it in bubble wrap.
  8. I don't know what it is you guys are shooting John, but once it is in the trap do you really have to shoot it? Don't you damage the trap?
  9. Are you going out Friday to setup? Can the setup workers practice on Friday? Charlie
  10. Don't arrive with a loaded gun Leave it in your bag until someone tells you the rules Don't pull it out of your holster until given the command Keep your finger off the trigger until you on the target, and take it off when moving Watch the 180 rule Don't crowd the barricades
  11. Sorry we took your brass. We really did not know you picked it up yesterday. 'course we intend to keep it.
  12. Thanks to the homeless-looking guy and his friends for the Friday setup work.
  13. John: I have had the croup for a month and don't know if I will shoot Saturday but I may be coming back from West Tennessee Friday afternoon. Are you going to be out there setting up? Charlie
