1. need some help finding a long distance range (250yds+) in the southern middle Tn region that is accessible more than once every month or so. I've heard of Terry Walden gunsmith in Manchester having a 300m range but haven't been able to get in touch with him yet. If anyone can confirm this or offer information on other ranges it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
2. got this really dark female late this afternoon. called her in with the Foxpro, She was heading downwind of me so I stopped her about 70-80yds out with a loud woof and dropped her with the 243
3. I got this one just North of Shelbyville, Tn on a farm I hunt. I gave it to a buddy down the road that coyote hunts also, he wants to skin it because her coat is in awesome condition and she's pretty big
4.

not much to tell. i was walking out of my last stand about to cross the fence where my truck was parked when I heard her give a few barks. I propped my Savage 93 on the fence post and started scanning the adjacent field. I gave her a few short rabbit distress calls and sure enough there she was about 100 yds away headn my way. I waited for prob 5-7 seconds and when I blew again she stopped looked straight at me and I pulled the trigger. the 17gr Hornady entered between her eyes and didn't exit. she dropped instantly. My heart was beating as if I'd shot a 12 point buck.

5. found that out when a squirrel kept messing with my caller. decided to take the shot since I hadn't seen any yotes
6. another pic of the entry point. most of her brains were in her ears and running out her nose
7. latest kill with the deadly accurate 17hmr. shot this coyote at 85 yards late this afternoon. 17gr hornady entered between her eyes, no exit. Dropped instantly.
8. it's the adult size i guess, didn't see an option to pick the size. sorry about the background color. not sure how that happened
9. ok, Thanks fellas. I may try my luck once deer season is over. I don't wanna mess up any deer hunters hopes of a big buck with my caller screaming coyote calls
10. anyone seen or heard any coyotes there ? just curious
11.

Just a quick review after roughly 7-8 hours combined use. The seat is well made with heavy duty adjustable straps, and leather patches where the seat hinges. The bottom is somewhat padded, it think 1/2" and it's decent for what it's intended for but any extended use I would recommend an additional seat pad. I would rate back support a solid 8 on 1-10 scale. The seat itself is a medium size and fit's me well (5'9, 210) The camo is a Mossy oak brush pattern which works well in the field edges I hunt. I'm not sure if there's other pattern choices. The seating surfaces are not camo, just plain tan/brown but they don't show when your seated. The seat has a small carry handle on both sections and snaps that hold it closed, also there is a longer adjustable strap for shoulder carry. I'm not sure of the actual weight but it's very light and hardly noticeable. I bought mine directly from callingcoyotes.com as they had the best price I could find and shipping was about average speed. The folks there are very friendly and we even talked about winter calling methods. Hope this helps anyone that's considering purchasing one of these and if you have any specific questions just PM me. 12. wow, great reading. I'm new to the predator hunting sport and have picked up some useful tips reading this thread. Thanks folks anyone found the predator nation magazine locally ?
13. BungieCord, I'm not going around the state just calling in coyotes for fun, just the small pack that hangs around my house. I do plan to shoot as many as possible (elsewhere)
14. The day I got my foxpro e-caller I called 1 in behind my house. It was a big solid black male, came from nowhere and ran all the way up to the caller. If i hadn't put it up in a bush I think he would have grabbed it and ran off. I didn't have my rifle with me, I was just messing around with the caller. Surprised me how quick he came in. There's a coyote pack that hangs around the farms that surround my house. I was gonna start shooting them but my wife suggested using them as a test group for calls. I think that's a good idea (for now)
15. I work in Franklin. need to get together and exterminate a few coyotes up here, (if I could find somewhere to hunt) I see them almost everyday just south of town.
16. resurrection of a good thread, anybody having luck with coyotes in the middle Tn area ?
17. call or text me next time if you dont mind picking me up some Hornady 17gr for my 17HMR. probably get 500 rounds if the price is decent. 615-495-0291 (Tim) Thanks

19. walmart is my go to spot for last minute purchases. I'm just hoping there's some local mom & pop stores that offer decent prices
20. hate that we missed it, sounds like it was a good time. wife & I will be there tomorrow if anyone wants to join us
21. just looking for some input on where you folks buy ammo local. I can find decent deals online but sometimes I'm really impatient or last minute chance to hit the range and don't wanna pay the inflated prices if not absolutely necessary. I shoot 45acp, 9mm, 17hmr. Thanks for any suggestions
22. i'm confused. was this event today (sat 15th) or is it tomorrow ? Thanks
