Welcome, Ron. I was born and raised in McCracken Co. and have only called Tennessee my home for the past 10 years. Nice to have you here with us.

I don't believe I've ever seen any targets for sale there, but I will have enough with me that you can have a few. They'll be USPSA style "milk bottle" targets but they're good for shooting at all the same.

Steve I had no idea you had two TRP models; I just thought you had the stainless. I'm really digging the OD and black model.

I can't think of any other than the few open-carry folks. Open carry has always been legal without a permit in my home state of Kentucky, so I remember seeing a few folks up there doing it. Mostly farmers. I think it's proof that the only person likely to notice your handgun "printing" beneath a shirt is another person carrying concealed. Sometimes we are a little more observant than the other folks out there. The majority of people going about their daily lives, not carrying themselves, probably don't even notice the slight bulge in your shirt. And even if they do, they probably don't know what they are seeing.

I'm no poster child for this, but the vast majority of accuracy problems are the result of operator error. Proper trigger control, sight picture and follow through are what determines accuracy. I realize that you're asking about a specific firearm, but you initiated the conversation with the XD being a fix for your accuracy problems with a smaller weapon. I've watched another person take my S&W J-frame and dot the center of an 8-inch target at 25yds. Can I do that? Sure. Do I do that? Rarely. I'm capable of it and the firearm is capable of it, I just need more work on trigger control.

Unfortunately, probably not. Daniel and I need to discuss having the slide re-blasted and then me shooting it again with moly resin to remedy a problem that I spotted after it was done. I'm not going to be happy unless it's 100% and right now it's not.

I'd recommend the Vicker's extended mag release for your new 19 also. It made a surprising bit of difference in the ergonomics of mine.

I'm working on pricing information and will post something no later than this upcoming Monday. I just need to make sure that I have all of my bases covered before I put a rate schedule out there. I'm not looking to get rich off of any of this but I need to at least cover materials and make a little pocket money. There's about 3 hours worth of work in doing one completely, but I enjoy it. Obviously certain considerations will have to be taken, such as whether the firearm is completely detail stripped before it is sent to me or if I have to do it. I have an assortment of firearm-specific MGW sight installation tools and have ordered a B&J Machine universal sight tool to take care of those that I don't have a specific tool for. So sight removal and installation is something that I won't factor into whether or not a firearm is completely stripped. I'll take care of that as part of it since the sights will need to be reinstalled correctly to prevent the slide being banged up after being refinished. Anyway... more on all of this come Monday.

If you end up ditching the ISMI guide rod and spring, I'd highly recommend using a Wolff spring and guide rod combination. I use it in my Glock 19 and have ZERO problems. It's not a captive design, but i actually prefer it that way.

Not one to be content with anything that strikes me as being not quite perfect, I shot the Glock's slide again tonight but this time used my airbrush instead of the HVLP spray gun that I had used earlier. This time the finish looks absolutely STUNNING. The color is absolutely FLAT and shows no shine or sheen. Exactly the way that I had hoped it would have looked to begin with. The Glock's slide now has the appearance of brushed stainless steel. Very classy! I'm blown away with what a difference this second set of coats with the airbrush made and I think that Jason will be even more pleased with this than he was with the previous photos. The pieces are curing in the oven right now and I will get photos of them tomorrow morning out doors when the light is best.
