  1. I recently added a recoil management system to my Wilson Combat. It makes it a little heavier and a bit harder to buy holsters for, but I think the advantages far outweigh those minor problems. Here's a picture:
  2. Larger pics of the entire 1911 please?
  3. Glad you all approve. I didn't think the name was "cheesy" ... I just didn't think it fit with the more "professional" titles that the rest of the forums have. Well, except for the one that the staff hangs out in. We call it the Little Boys Pee Pee Room. Seriously. Maybe.
  4. We'll just stick with the plan. My wife and I will be at Snappy Tomato at 11:30. We drive a black Ford F250 truck that looks perpetually pissed off... so we're easy to spot. If the weather cooperates, we'll shoot at Owl Hollow. If it doesn't cooperate or if you're feeling particularly wussy and don't like to get a little wet, we'll just eat and you can go back home and watch re-runs on TV. See you all there.
  5. There's a bit of an easter egg hidden in one of those smileys.
  6. I guess my original reply to this thread was overlooked.
  7. If it rains tomorrow... do we have an alternate plan or are we just going to suck it up and get wet?
  8. Check if Windows Media Player has the Playing Speed Setting to 1.0 (Normal) In Media Player, click View >> Enhancements >> Playing Speed Settings.
  9. Rabbi will just march around your house seven times and blow a trumpet on the last. Then it's curtains for you.
  10. Jewling Process
  11. Now find that handgun some good leather!
  12. On Target in Murfreesboro, TN allows rifle calibers on two lanes of their indoor range. The only restriction is that you can't shoot rifle calibers on Sundays.
  13. This is my only ink to date and will probably remain my only. It took about 3hrs to do. This picture is about a year old.
  14. That is unfortunate but purely his prerogative. I should note that he was never asked or told to leave TGO; we simply could not maintain that association with him in light of what our attorneys advised us were possible snares in that raffle. To each his own, I guess.
  15. You, my friend... have even more time on your hands than I do. And that's saying something.
  16. You didn't mention it, but the LCP is the only Ruger handgun I'd own at this point. Nothing else that they offer is even remotely competitive in terms of design, ergonomics or carry-ability to anything from the other major manufacturers. Sorry.
  17. You just opened Pandora's box.
  18. I'd be more inclined to try the Ionbond finish on a gun that sees serious contact wear. Just a thought.
  19. My wife and I got a chance to hold one of them this past Sunday and I wasn't impressed at all.
  20. How did I miss this thread? There are some real home runs in here!
  21. What are you carrying in it? This is the T-shirt thing right?
  22. Will anyone be bringing an M&P 9mm to this get together? My wife is really wanting one (we think) but she has yet to actually shoot one. She's just held them in the stores. If you're attending and you bring an M&P 9mm for her to shoot... I'll return the favor and you can shoot anything we bring. Including the Wilson 1911.

    which is best

    I carry a P2000 .40SW V3 whenever I'm not carrying my Wilson.
  24. These two (TGO and Tennesspeed) are the only two that I still operate. There are a few others that I started or help start that eventually were handed off to others to continue. TGO has far surpassed the growth potential of Tennesspeed. It also probably helps TGO that I am and always will be an ardent supporter of 2A Rights, whereas my interest in hot-rod cars has diminished a bit over the past few years.
  25. If you visit those forums now, you should see a notice posted at the top of the page talking about legal issues and also mentioning the restriction on New Members.
