ad-closed KEEPING. Stag Arms/KE Arms AR-15 KP-15 16” barrel, M-LOK
asu174 replied to asu174's topic in Firearms Classifieds
Dropped to $750 -
Location is Blackman/Murfreesboro. Must be Tennessee resident/of legal age and willing to show ID. I accept cash and Venmo. This is a private party transfer. NO TRADES. I’m hopefully going to be thinning out my collection by a considerable amount. I’m just not shooting as much as I used to and I have some pretty good stuff collecting dust. Picked this up used about 6 months ago. Original owner said he bought in the 90’s and had it in the back of his safe. I have shot about 25 rounds of 00 buck through it. Added a side saddle (removable) and upgraded the follower to an aluminum one. I think it’s pre-ban, but not sure how relevant that is here in TN. Original chokes, box, included. Asking $1300

Location is Blackman/Murfreesboro. Wiling to meet within a reasonable distance, but my schedule is insane M-F, so those days are “you come to me”. Must be Tennessee resident/of legal age and willing to show ID. I accept cash and Venmo. This is a private party transfer. I’m hopefully going to be thinning out my collection by a considerable amount. I’m just not shooting as much as I used to and I have some pretty good stuff collecting dust. I have lots of extra mags and other accessories available, although I’m probably not going to package any optics. This rifle was brought to the range once and zeroed with an optic that is no longer on it. Round count is less than a magazine. It’s a KE Arms KP-15 polymer lower that I absolutely swear by for weight, durability, and ergonomics. Upper is a complete Stag 16”. All purchased in last 6 months. It’s 5 lbs, 13 ounces unloaded. Upper: Stag Arms 16” Factory Built Upper with 1:7 twist barrel and MLok handguard BCG included Strike Industries charging handle (blue) Magpul MBUS sights Lower: KE Arms KP-15 polymer lower receiver- extended hammer pin, QD rear socket Larue Tactical Flat 2-stage trigger (breaks clean at 4 lbs) 30 round M2 PMAG Asking $700

Location is Murfreesboro/Blackman. Must be TN resident and willing to flash ID. No paperwork please- private party sale. NO TRADES Glock 19X. I haven’t shot it much and when I did, it had a threaded barrel and compensator on it, so I’m actually not sure if the factory barrel has even been shot. Very little use, which is why I’m selling it. Important note: the front tab on the bottom of the grip has been shaved off and polished. Yes, it’s a turn off for the Glock purist, but with that tab, Gen 5 magazines with the longer base don’t fit in a supposed early Gen 5 gun. After one failed mag change, I figured life/death was more important than the most useless feature Glock has ever added to a pistol. It looks pretty smooth, but some of you 1000+ grit nerds can get it better. Info here: I admittedly only made it about 30 seconds in because my modification solves this problem- Original stuff included, although the original sights are gone. It has Trijicon HD sights with an orange front. Also included is a Parker Mountain Machine compensator, but you will need a not-included threaded barrel for that to work. Add an Apex trigger and connector in red or black for $70- butter smooth with it installed. I can also sell you 9MM ammo (range or SD) at a below insane market value/above super low 2019 price point. $700 w/factory trigger, no ammo

Looks like $1.

Best pistol ever.

Too tempting. I’d have the gun for the mags in a week and I’d lose my mind not not selling off ammo I can’t shoot. Related to mags, one weird thing I do is justify a duplicate pistol purchase by pretending I’m paying for mags I would have bought for the other gun, anyhow. So a $425 Blue Label Glock with 3 mags is really 3 $25 mags I would have bought and a new $350 Glock. I don’t need a Glock, but a $350 Gen 5 Glock is a no-brainer...and I already have new mags for it.
-
Agree. I miss the days of new $14.99 OEM. One of the first mags I bought was a NFML Glock “hi-cap” mag for $80 during the AWB in ‘03. I never want to be stuck in that situation again, so I stock up. Harder to do at $45 a pop.

I sold all of my 509s earlier in the year. I’m also a Glock guy. Here’s what I didn’t like: Trigger. The factory FN trigger shoe is SLIPPERY. The factory trigger pull isn’t terrible, but my bony fingers always ended up at the bottom of the trigger guard and constantly adjusting. The Apex kit fixed that. Installation was a pain with that one pin. I actually snapped one and had to buy a $3 part with $8 shipping Mag prices- I think they are $40+ for mags. Recoil. Whenever I decide to get rid of a pistol series, I do a side by side comparison with a shot clock. I don’t remember the splits, but they weren’t great compared to Glock or CZ, however better than Sig (dumped those too). I think bore offset plays a role, but can’t confirm. With the Tactical, that dot was bouncing all over the place. I can run a red dot Glock as fast as I can pull the trigger. Other than that, the 509 was 100% reliable and my Tactical ran great with and without a comp. If you’re not fanatical about other platforms, you’ll be fine.

Nomad doesn’t pin/weld, unfortunately. Any other suggestions?
-
I’ve used ADCO in the past. Would prefer to just do this locally, however, I don’t want it to look like crap. I hate an ugly pin/weld job. Just looking to pin a Surefire SOCOM flash hider to a 14.5” barrel. Any suggestions? Would love Murfreesboro, but can shoot over 840 and go up 65.

ad-closed Glock 20 10mm - Emergency Must Sell
asu174 replied to RobertNashville's topic in Firearms Classifieds
Just seeing this now. Funds sent. Merry Christmas and feel better. I’m also in your zip if you need a hand. -
I ended up abandoning this 22LR idea until I decide what I want to do and how often I want to do it. I suspect this ends with me shooting groups at 25 yards, so I probably should have just kept the TacSol X-Ring that I never shot and sold here. Will revisit at a later time.

Nashville area FFLs that accept incoming from private parties?
asu174 replied to asu174's topic in General Chat
Used Royal Range. Their FFL is posted on the site. You just provide them the guy’s name that’s selling it to you and he sends a DL copy. Super easy. Thanks for the help. Benelli M1 Super 90 on the way. -
Nashville area FFLs that accept incoming from private parties?

Oh wow, that’s my FFL. And it even says it on their site now. This is great. Thanks! FYI, Music City’s site says they do not allow private transfers: https://www.musiccitypawn.com/firearm-transfers Purchasing Company Name * Please list the name of the company for which you are ordering the firearm. NOTE: Music City Pawn will only facilitate transfers of online purchases from an FFL dealer. We do not accept online sales transfers from individuals without an FFL. -
Nashville area FFLs that accept incoming from private parties?

Not sure if this is the right forum... Just looking for recommendations on any FFLs that accept incoming transfers from private parties (that include a DL copy). The few that I’ve talked to say they only accept incoming from another FFL. Nashville area, but include Franklin, etc I hate calling around and figured I’d try here first. -
Cheap 22NRL gun. I’m not cut out for door #1 and #2. Punching paper off a bipod with rear rest. Not sloppy semi auto plinking. Right now, my interest is in the CZ 457 Varmint Precision Trainer...which is probably junk compared to that “cheap” NRL22 gun. But even that CZ is $1K. Add scope and accessories, I’m really not that far away from $2K.
-
Great questions. Spent some time on Rimfire Central and those dudes go DEEP in this. I thought I was interested in competition until reading over there. I’m realizing I’m not willing to take something that seriously right now. Pivoting. For the ONLY 22LR you could own for target shooting, plinking, and maybe some casual competition, what is the best bolt action option in that “higher end” category? Is that $1K? I do appreciate the offer for the call and I may take you up on it, but I think this idea just got much simpler and cheaper based on the reactions.
-
Not sure are all, which is why I’m asking. I’ve been looking at $2K-3K base rifles (no optic) this morning with $1K-$2K optics, which is probably overkill. These guys are shooting FAR for a 22LR. I probably shouldn’t have sold my TacSol X-Ring without giving it a fair shot, but I really don’t like 10/22s that much for some reason.
-
Fair point. I’d like the option to put my can on it, but if it’s going to just blow back carbon into a highly accurized barrel, then I can pass on that. I saw pics of some high end rifles with cans and (not knowing rimfire) figured there was some purpose to it.
-
What do you get? Looking for bolt action for bench shooting and must include glass I can probably go a little over that budget if needed. Looking at potentially shooting Rimfire matches. Do you buy new or used? Any recommendations on forums/websites/places to buy? I know almost nothing about rimfire. I do have two Surefire 22LR cans, so threaded barrel is important. Any advice is appreciated.

Sounds about right. Before midlength, we had the Dissipator- 16” barrel, rifle length gas. With no dwell time, the gas port on the barrel had to be opened up. They ended up just putting a carbine (now midlength) gas block under the rifle length handguards and leaving the A2 FSB where it was for the sight radius. Gas systems aside, the “long handguard with minimal barrel exposed” era is only a few years old. Most of my ARs are set up that way. I was actually looking at my 18” guns over the weekend wondering how weird a 17” handguard would look on them.

First was 2003, just before the ban sunset. Bushmaster ”postban”. Paid $1100 and was just glad to buy it. Bought a WASR-10 AK for $299 that same week, along with some cases of Wolf for $69/1K in 7.62x39 and $79/1K for .223. Pinned stock (can’t actually collapse it), muzzle brake, no bayonet lug. That one is long gone.
