If you don't know and haven't already been doing it's probably pointless to start now.
Probably pointless to start on ammo, but definitely not pointless to start on silver. SLV, bullion, or coins. Back up the truck!

The DA suggested we pay to have a uniformed on duty LE for our services. $25 bucks a hour and well worth it. removes the members and the Church from liability if you have to go hands on or worse.
Under the law of agency, in no way does hiring someone for the job eliminate potential liability. Lawyers are disgustingly creative. In this case, defensive response to an attack might be more professionally handled, but liability exposure is not extinguished. If the SHTF, litigation WILL follow!

I haven't read the previous posts but I'll say this. COMFORT RULES !!!! My Ruger LCP holds 6+1 and I carry one in the chamber so that's 7 rds. This gun is thin and small. It fits in my front pocket with ease in a pocket holster by DeSantis. Lets be honest , when your wife or husband wants you to go to the store to grab something at an unexpected time like while you are working on something or mowing the yard , I don't want to put on my thick gun belt and load up a leather holster. I love big guns and carry them like a G21 , G17 , 1911 , and so on . But the ease of the small LCP at the last minute of the wife telling me to make a grocery store for ice cream is perfect. If in doubt carry a spare mag. It's like wearing body armor. If it ain't comfortable you ain't going to wear it. I wore the same POS vest for 5 years because I didn't want to complain and stand out as a complainer but after 5 years I said the hell with that and I got my new vest cut the way that it fits my body , my workplace sent it back to the company twice for cuts. Bottom line is that if a gun isn't comfortable carrying it then you more than likely wont carry it all the time. A gun with a small capacity is better than no gun .
Great news in the LCP world! The LCP Max in .380 is just now becoming available. Same size as the LCP2, but standard mag is 10+1 and you can also get a 12+1.
MSRP is $449. I just reserved one for $369. Gonna load it up with the new Federal Hydra-Shok Deep ammo, which is revolutionary for .380.
Check out the reviews on LCP Max and the Federal ammo. The gun writers are going crazy over both.
Now we can have a true pocket gun with 11 or 13 rounds of great performing defensive ammo.

This is just my opinion, the man’s first mistake was going to Chicago with firearms on his person. The second mistake was leaving a loaded rifle with magazines loaded in a hotel room overlooking a busy street. I just have two words for this
“DUMB ASS”!!!
DUMB ASS, granted. But Chicago criminalizes that, and that is wrong. And the cost to defend being a DUMB ASS is immense. And that is wrong. Why is sacrosanct Chicago not subject to all of the normally recognized laws of our country that protect our citizens, including the Bill of Rights?

The picture is reversed. I can't find a picture of him (without a hat, which is a challenge) where he didn't part his hair on the LEFT side.
FWIW......

Well, for one thing, gains on gold and silver are subject to federal income tax on gains, and state income tax on gains (in states which have income tax.)
On what other assets do you pay a sales tax when bought, and an income tax on gains when sold?
Should we charge sales tax when you buy a stock, or bond, or mutual fund?

Google this: Honda Rebel 500. I'm thinking about one of these to replace my BMW R1100RS which is just too much bike for this old guy.
BTW, it's a 1994 w/ showroom looks and under 15,000 miles if anyone's interested......

Glad it worked out. [I got into this conversation at the end.]
You don't EVER want to get anywhere near even the hint of a scent of a notion of anything that can go however remotely into a straw purchase. If that goes wrong, your life is messed up. And it's so much easier for the good guys to mess with you than actually catching a real bad guy..

Whether to carry insurance (like this or of any kind generally) is a decision driven by risk analysis. Here, presumably the two primary risk concerns are attorney fees and a money judgment against the individual in the context of a tort claim.
There are some other steps that can probably reduce risk in these areas, relating, for example, to how you own real property, etc.
Buying a policy is fine, but consider talking with your attorney before you decide that's the end of the analysis.
I agree with your premise, but there are attorneys that seriously specialize in this stuff. I would say ---talk to two attorneys and you'll get at least three opinions. I have a law degree. That doesn't qualify me for anything. It just means I know a whole lot about a bunch of stuff that probably doesn't matter to almost anyone.
This group of us has more specialized knowledge than any average attorney, as in WAY more knowledge. We put way too much faith in the "get the opinion of an attorney" concept. The average attorney has NO IDEA about firearms or any of the issues surrounding them. So unless you can engage a an attorney specialist in this field, you're wasting your money. If you just hire Joe Bloe, or Jane Bloe you're just paying for them to get (barely!) educated. IMHO

Love the LCP, especially with the new Federal .380 Hydra-Shok Deep Premium 99 grain ammo. It's the only .380 ammo to ever pass the FBI 12 inch penetration test. Very hard to find, I got mine after being on a long waiting list at sgammo.com.
Anyone doing anything for the inflation that is coming?

Do prices go up, or does the dollar go down?
It really doesn't matter. If you see inflation coming, buy commodities. These concepts are way more simple than people understand. If you buy silver, for example, and silver doubles, did you make any real money? That depends on only one real variable. If the dollar did anything less than get cut in half, you lost money relative to that metric. Just because you got more dollars does not mean you got more money! But hedge yourself across a number of possibilities so that when/if the dollar dwindles/collapses you have way more dollars to show for it. Way more cheaper dollars is worth a lot more than way less cheaper dollars.
