  1. Could be related to the aging population. I don't know, but both my parents died from cancer, 2 uncles died from it, other uncle has had it 5 or six times but is still kicking. I've had it twice myself. Seems like everyone I know has had a family member die from cancer.

  2. When I was a kid my friend and I dared each other to ride our bikes down a long steep hill with our eyes closed. I figured if I looked he wouldn't know because his eyes were closed. When he started veering off the road I couldn't say anything cause he would know I was looking. Damn, he almost missed that mailbox.
  3. I guess this answers the question "would the military turn on the people?" Looks like at least some would. I know the Park Rangers are not military but their incentive to follow orders is also less compelling than the military. The Park Ranger might lose their job. I would think that a soldier that refused a direct order in a time of "crisis" would suffer much more.

  4. this whole Gov "shutdown" crap is really pi$$ing me off, so I went into work this morning feeling the need to rant. The first three people i talk to are 1) a hard core liberal Obama lover 2) a liberal that doesn't believe anything negative about the Government. No matter if it is the headline in the paper he needs to see more proof, and 3) a conservative that only knows what the Preacher tells him. I made a remark about the "shutdown" and they all three looked at me like what are you talking about. I swear they had no clue. They don't do news because they don't want to get upset. God help us all. These people vote.

  5. Spent a few days of one summer tearing open several thousand firecrackers and a box of 22 shells. took one of those coat hangers that had the cardboard tube on the bottom. took the tube and stopped up one end real tight, filled the tube with the powder mixture then plugged the other end real tight. Here is the dumb part. took a drill and drilled a hole in the side for a fuse. That sucker blew a 3 foot diameter by 6 inch deep hole in the yard.

  6. Well, to start there was the time me and my best friend piled up about 15 or 20 old dry christmas trees, poured on some gas and lit them on fire. A most impressive fire it was too. The fire dept was not so impressed when they had to come put out the surround field and woods.

  7. I'm a big guy and often wear a belly band, but usually wear it more at the top of my belly, rotated to hold the gun under my left arm, more like the position of a shoulder holster. I usually carry a large frame 357 snub nose  and find it very comfortable and it conceals well under a sport shirt. I wear the band over an undershirt. The only drawback is I sweat a lot. That's why I carry the revolver, as it is stainless steel. My 9mm had to be cleaned after every carry or it would rust.
