As of right now there is no particular number of classes you have to teach to maintain your certification. The word is that eventually (probably soon)there will be a 1 class per year requirement. You can cover that by simply assisting another instructor with an NRA class. 

I probably wouldn't have really cut it off......   The issue with wrapping index finger around the trigger guard is that MOST people who do that , whether they recognize it or not, actually tend to pull the muzzle down with that pressure they are applying to the trigger guard and the way they grip the gun is not the same every time. Consistency in results requires consistency in application and if the grip is not the same the gun moves around. If the gun moves around then the results are....Suboptimal.   Once you "cut out" that bad habit I think you will be happy with the results.

We scheduled this one on that particular date so as not to conflict with the Tennessee football home game schedule as some people had requested........

This is coming up THIS Saturday!    Just a few days to go! 

I moved 3 times in 15 years but all in the same county. My dealer told me that if it is in same county it was not required.  I never did file a "change of address" until the last time I moved (still in same county) and only when I was wanting to take multiple items (that had different addresses on the form 4s and form 1s) out of state and had to fill out 5320.20 form. To eliminate any confusion at ATF I went ahead and filed my change of address before I sent in the forms to take them out of state. 

So....who's planning to attend?

Not this time. This Saturday will be all in the 4 yards and closer interval focusing on reactive shooting (get off the X and retake the initiative) and shooting using Alternative Indexing Methods instead of a picture perfect sight picture. 

No worries...if you are feeling up to it you are welcome to join us in Knoxville this Saturday.

No, there is a place up the road about 7 minutes called the Cabbage Bowl that we will go for lunch. It is a "Mom and Pop meat and 3 vegetables " kind of place. Of course if you prefer to bring lunch you are welcome to do that too....

REMINDER!!!!!!!!!!     This one is coming up in about a week and a half ! It is certainly priced right and not a major time commitment so if you are curious about what we do in our regular 1 and 2 day classes come on out and see first hand. You'll get some work on skill sets that not many instructors are comfortable with enough to teach competently - reactive shooting at close range without focusing on the sights, and you'll have some fun and meet some good people.    Looking forward to it!

So come on out ! And just so you know.....if you bring some extra 9mm (brass cased please) I might have some cool toys there to play with when we are done.....

The summer meeting for the Knoxville Suarez Int training group will be held on Saturday Aug 1!  We will be covering pistol skills , specifically close range , get off the X and get quick hits on the target using alternative indexing methods .
