Just found this & thought I'd post it in case anyone wants to go.
Fall leaves may be turning by then, so one could double up with a nice drive through the non-crowded mountains of SE TN. Good trout fishing here as well, for those whom do that sort of thing. Even drag someone's dad along as well, IMO. There's always nice cars at these shows, older stuff.
Plan ahead, gents!

Tractor Show @ Boy's & Girl's Club, Benton, TN. Saturday, September 18, 2021 at 6:00 AM.
Show is located about 3/4 mile off of Hwy 411 in Benton, TN. Located on Parksville Road.
Should be great weather according to the forecast. Mostly antique tractors, if not exclusively. Great opportunity for city kids to see the old stuff and for adults to remanence about grand-dad's old tractor. Admission is free! Doesn't get any better than that, IMO.
Should anyone need info about the area or restaurants, etc, feel free to ask!

One possible (likely?) explanation is that Colorado State and the Titans are really, really, bad ...
Perhaps. But we KNOW Vandy is really, really bad.

Titans get slaughtered in their home opener where they were a 3 point favorite & Vandy WINS on the road at Colorado State? On a lesser note, Arkansas thumps Texas as well? Welcome to the SEC, Longhorns! LOL!
To quote Gomez Adams in the Family Values movie, "Has the world gone MAD????"

He seems to be ok, at home, fever broke.
Sounds like he's gonna be just fine.
Unless someone has a severe underlying medical condition, covid is NOT a death sentence. It has a survival rate around 97% or so. Not trying to negate any concern over a family member whom has it, of course. Heck, my 89 year old mother had/has it & all she got was loss of smell & taste (thank goodness) but she also has a pacemaker.
Best wishes to all of your family, sir!

So you actually saw it on their official site ?
I clicked on the link. It looked official to me. Also has "FedEx" in the domain name. I highly doubt lawyers would allow a parody or pirate site to exist. But I am certainly by no means a tech weinee.

Definitely welcome great news and happy to see it. Have to agree having showed their hand and known goals, the next one will be liked minded. But they have learned their lesson in a choice that was overtly anti-gun with a well documented history of *****. I trust they are deep in foaming at the mouth gun haters, so the danger will getting one whose background is far to subtle to make their level of bias and disregard for constitutional rights as obvious and as easy to prove.
Almost anyone nominated to be an agency head has a track record for acts, speeches, emails, memos and so forth. They don't come in completely bland, IOW.
I'm not sure Chipman was a true nominee or if he was sent to be trash nominee so they could then slip in a less militant one in order to say, "See, this one isn't so bad"? There's no doubt at all Chipman is a lying, weaseling little punk. Anyone who posed for pics at Waco, over the bodies of women & children, isn't right in the head, IMO.
Sadly, I feel the ATF is much like the FBI these days. Too far corrupted by political activists to be able to properly do their job. Both agencies would benefit from a mass retiring of their top 5-6 levels of management, IMO. We may never again see both competence and political neutrality again from either agency. Both sad & infuriating.

Eh, I don't punch senile people. Nor do I desire a visit from the Secret Service over something written on the internet. LOL!

But, it was on the internet. That means it has to be true, doesn't it ...
Well, it WAS on FedEx dot com. Aside from that, I can't tell you anything else as I neither work for FedEx nor use them.
Could be their web site got hacked, I don't know?

I doubt that their HR department has anything to do with it. However, I will bet dollars to donuts that someone in the current administration has had some conversations with the High Muckety Mucks at FedEx about staying on the administration's good side. "Nice little shipping company you have here; be a shame if something happened to it...." A little federal legislation can have some major effects on the profitability of industries.
I doubt a conversation was needed. FedEx fought tooth & nail when TN passed the "guns in trunks" law allowing employees to have their carry guns in their cars while at work. They spent I don't know how many thousands of dollars fighting it.
They also have a HUGE theft rate at their main hub in Memphis. Recently an entire truck full of firearms was driven off of from the hub., As far as I know, it has not been recovered nor the thieves caught. Welcome to Memphis.

Not quite sure how this policy "ensures the safety of their employees and the general public". Nor have any laws changed in regards to shipping firearms, something they've no doubt conjured up out of thin air.
Sounds like their HR dept is running their company rather than vice versa.

Sorry. Guess I got the wrong guy.
Maybe not. I do recall taking a gun home on my bike one day. This was in 2020, so it may have been then?

Don't tell and don't ask. CYA type stuff.
Not at a gun show, IMO. Too many idiots get the urge to show their roscoe & yank it out. Too often a ND is the result. Nor do *I* want a loaded gun being waved around a public bldg.
Flea market, that sort of thing, I don't care.

From the responses here, it sounds like very few people have experience open carrying outside of law enforcement. I know I haven't. I remember there was someone on this forum advertising an event where open carry would be encouraged, and I believe that event is supposed to be in Nashville. Has that happened? Did anyone here go?
I'm old (63) & can't remember schitt. But there have been events where permit holders wore empty holsters showing in order to protest some sort of "no guns allowed" law(s) a couple of times. I want to say one was at Legislative Plaza in Nashville?
I don't recall any specific even where OCing was considered a main focus of the event.
I do agree with removing the "shock value" of seeing someone OCing. Krogers, restaurants, etc would all be prime spots for "normal" people OCing, IMO. I used to attend all the Nashville TFA meetings & there were multiple people OCing as they went around the buffet line. On enight a Karen complained to the manager about it. He asked her if she wanted him to call the police & also told her the police would also be OCing. Said Karen was not amused. The TFA spends a LOT of $$$ at their monthly meetings there, so the manager took that into account. As far as I know, she was the only one whom ever complained. No doubt that was THE safest restaurant in the state on that particular night.
In rural areas, OCing doesn't get a second glance, IMO. Everybody & their sister owns a gun here & knows how to use them.

My Buckmark is also my can host for handgun. My can is thin enough to use factory sights as well.
A CZ American in 16" barrel is going to be the most accurate host, IMO. There's a boatload of threaded rifles out there now but not all of them are extremely accurate, just functional. (Yes, Ruger, I'm talking to you.)
I also just picked up (but haven't shot yet) a Henry lever action, octagon barrel & it's threaded as well. In short, there's a plethora of rifle options out there.

For those whom may not know, the 63 is a J-frame & not a K-frame. Thus is it perfect for smaller sized hands.
This gun benefits greatly from a better set of grips than factory OEM.
If I didn't already own one, I'd be looking hard at this one. They're not commonly for sale, IMO.

There's dozens of these videos from wedding shootings with a full auto AK. I recall one or two where either the bride or groom got shot, maybe killed?
Talking to some whom have attempted to train Afghans & other types in the Mid East, none of this surprises me at all. Common sense there seems to be non-existent.

I don't do it except if I have to take off my outer clothing layer for some odd reason.
The ones I do see open carrying almost always are using some cheap assed Fobus or Ace nylon holster. Neither of which should be used for carrying period, never mind OCing.
As a TFA member, I'm quite surprised at the % of fellow members who promote OCing. I think it's stupid, unsound tactically & is a good way to get yourself shot first. But what do I know?

According to the law, privately operated does not trump the ownership by the county.
True dat.
But outside of the communist ran big cities, everywhere else in TN is pretty gun friendly, IMO.

Henrys' warranty & service are top notch.
Enjoy.
Hopefully I'll never have to experience their warranty nor service! LOL!
I plan on using my can on it to make a quieter squirrel killer. Gotta get some rings first on it for the scope though. I don't do buckhorn sights well.

Sounds like you went on a .22 cal spree as of late....
Ehhh, kinda sorta.
So far this year I've bought a S&W Model 19C (.357mag), the Henry & a Beretta M9-22.
As long as ammo is crazy high, .22 is all I can afford to shoot these days. I used to do USPSA & 3 Gun matches quite often but who can afford that these days?
