Now that's how the lady felt when she gave you the money. She did herself, you, and the elderly couple all a great favor. No telling what he'll do to pay it forward. I like the idea.

I was once in there with my kids, and as we got in the speedy checkout lane, I had something like an oil filter and a bag of apples, my youngest son was insistent that we count the apples to make sure we weren't in violation of the 10 items or less.

One of the hardest things I've learned to do as an adult is to graciously accept a gift from someone.   You know that good feeling you get from giving something or doing something special for them? Well, you are denying someone that same feeling when you don't accept their gift.

You won't make me believe that borrowing money to invest is a good idea. It wasn't very long ago that real estate tanked and everyone was crying about "being underwater".   I do appreciate your opinion, but I prefer to stay above water and out of debt.

Till they ditch the internal lock, I'll stick with vintage Smith and Wesson revolvers.
