  1. By the way, Sig Sauer is now shipping 2 magazines with most pistols. I believe the Mosquito still only has 1, as does the P238. I for one am done with Sig Sauer. I have purchased 2 brand new guns from them, both of which were total headaches. Add to that indifferent customer service and there are plenty of other high quality manufacturers of firearms who want my money.
  2. Several scenes would not work unless the movie was accurate with language. I heard a radio interview with Tarantino where he said he wanted to make a movie in stark contrast with WWII movies in the past where people would change to an English accent to show they were speaking German or something. He specifically cited Where Eagles Dare, where the commandos supposedly spoke perfect German to infiltrate the fortress, but everyone just spoke English. I also liked the commentary on the power of the .25...
  3. Anyone watching the pre-season game against the Browns? It's near the end of the third quarter, and apparently I missed the good parts because the Browns are kicking butt
  4. Saw it just now. Brad Pitt is excellent! Highly recommended.

    22lr Handgun

The Neos is an excellent handgun. I had a Colt Cadet which is the same exact design and it never suffered a single failure of any sort. Mags are super cheap at CDNN and it's easy to mount an optic too. Consider the low price and it's a real winner.
  6. He knocks 10% off for some sucker who thinks he's getting a deal and he's set for table money for a couple of shows.
  7. Top of the gun is too rounded
  8. I'm 90% sure I can make it. Looks like it'll be quite a crowd. Will lanes be rotated?
  9. Too large to be a P-10. This guy is 5' 9" - 5' 11", with what look like average sized hands. I'm thinking at least Glock 19 sized. Also the Grendel does not have a large ejection port like this pistol. If you look at the amount of the slide taken up by the ejection port vs. the Grendel, it does not match. Well...upon second inspection, I'm not so sure his pinkie finger is on the grip of whatever he's holding. So maybe it is a G27 or smaller sized pistol.
  10. I'm voting that it's a fake gun. The front of the slide is nothing I've ever seen on a real pistol before. I think the ejection port is too large and fake looking. At least, that's the way it looks when I zoom in with my iPhone. Also, the sights don't look practical at all. They look like some mil-sim wannabe sights rather than something you'd put on a real steel pistol. The protuberance on the front of the trigger guard also lends itself to the toy theory, IMHO.
  11. I don't think it's a Millenium. The front of the slide is concave? And the rear sight is funky. Also is that a laser or something else in front of his finger?

    Who has a P238?

Pros: Shoots great, feels great, nice heft Cons: Mag issues, recall issues, failure to eject issues, recoil spring issues, customer service issues, heavy for a .380 w/ 6 round capacity If I had to do it all over again, I would have waited a year for them to figure out how to make the pistol properly. Then I would buy a used one instead of giving my money to Sig directly. As it is, I got mine fixed at the factory and now I'm trading it away
  13. Im just looking for the cheapest way to ship a handgun legally. The FFLs I called about shipping were asking an enormous amount to do so. Almost a wash to do overnight or get somebody to ship usps for me. But 2nd day air would be the cheapest if allowed. I'll call fedex tomorrow.
  14. For a lightweight easy recoiling pistol check out the P238. It is not a harsh gun to shoot and is relatively compact and light. The only caveat would be the bugs in some batches. I would wait a few months for the kinks to be worked out before purchasing one for carry. Also Sig customer service made me supremely angry when I had to deal with them. Worse attitudes than the kids at mcdonalds.
  15. I made my first internet trade the other day, but I'm still trying to work out the mechanics of the trade itself. So it is illegal to ship the handgun via USPS, correct? Unless I get a FFL to do it for me? Anyone know of a FFL that will do it without charging an arm and a leg? I also heard that UPS and FedEx will ship it if I ship it overnight. But then I heard that FedEx has started allowing handgun shipments through 2-day shipping as well. Anyone know if there is any truth to that? And of course, please understand that this pistol is being shipped to his FFL and not to him directly. Thanks in advance.
  16. Rugers do have a slide stop, but it's only there for convenience. The pistol does not lock open when empty from what I understand.
  17. Cool Springs Wal-Mart has Federal 9mm but it's limit 1 box per customer. They also have tons of .40 S&W.
  18. They must be grabbing at straws to feature Nashville on Gangland. I feel perfectly safe here. I went to school in the ghetto (before they tore the ghetto down off of Charlotte) and I never felt like I was in any danger. Brown Pride? What the hell is that?
  19. Anyone else think it was paced and sort of written like a video game? Like Half Life or something. I thought it was a pretty good popcorn flick but full of plot holes and stars a guy who doesn't know how to work a power suit and swears a lot.
  20. Wow, 8 weeks? People cry in California about waiting 10 days for their handguns! If you don't mind waiting, by all means, wait. However, when I pay for something in full, then I want it in a reasonable time frame. If you paid by credit card, even better because they have rules about this sort of thing. This isn't even custom artisan work: it's simply another mass produced pistol. I did a quick search on Gunbroker and found over 61 listings, most of them way under what you were charged. These guys could have simply ordered one off there and handed it to you and made a few bucks besides.
  21. I've seen that policy at several walmarts. The cool springs walmart has limited me to one box when their ammo stocks start to dwindle.
  22. Almost certainly it was edited accidentally in a way that made R. Lee look bad. Otherwise, you'd have to believe that he was pointing guns at camera men and then pulling the trigger. Lots of B-roll and then lots of shots of the same action at different angles played over and over. Lends excitement at the expense of teaching safety, but what the hell, it's just a TV show. I did not know R. Lee pushed the Glock. Seems like an american pistol company would want that endorsement more, but oh well.
  23. What can I say, I enjoyed seeing a Duckfoot in action. And the Glock 18 is a pretty BA handgun...
  24. What about classic Counter Strike? Anyone else miss bunny hopping and deagle headshots?
