just a update. Today i received my new DL. I didn't receive a new HCP or any mention of my permit in the included documentation. Now my HCP and DL have 2 different addresses. Does this not throw a red flag up to any leo who compares the two? I know my DL/HCP number is changed and the database is "updated"......i just want to verify i have fulfilled my responsibilities in the states opinion. Thanks

I have recently moved. I updated my address online and it indicated that both my DL and HCP will be updated when i first started the process. At the end, it didnt give me any confirmation for the HCP. I may just be paranoid but i want to make sure that the online change of address has me covered. Will i get a new HCP and DL or a sticker to go on the back?

There is a reason to buy the P238, pocket carry, my buddy has one and it disappears. Do you have to give up the G26? They each fill their role. I got lower back problems and can't carry IWB all the time, so I looked at a lot of pocket carry pistols and decided on a 9mm platform. Good luck.
no i can have both....but......come summer, i am afraid i will have a hard time carrying the g26 without printing. I buy guns as tools. I am still a young'n so i cant have everything at once. I try to keep everything practical

We can try fmj and jhp I have plenty of .380 from blue box to white box to corbon,we will try them all. the bonus is the new unfired Gold cup and if we wait until Friday the PS90 5.7 with 50 round mags will be in.
I have only ran about 100 rounds of fmj through the P238. I will bring 100 of each
The ps90 5.7 I will bring at least 1000 maybe 1500 rounds for it. I will pm you tomorrow,there will be a couple other shooting with us.

thanks for the opinion Ae-35. I ASSUMED (which is always a mistake) that they were lighter than the 26. I like the 26 but when summer comes i will need something smaller for a EDC. I could save up for it by summer without a problem. I didnt know they were ammo sensitive. Thanks for the feedback...keep it coming guys

These just look so GOOD...any feedback. Whats the chances i can work out a good trade with a dealer around here. The G26 prob has 500-700 rounds through it

wife and i both have HCP...one of use drives and the other can have a drink or two. typically, i carry the weapon but if i choose to drink it goes in her purse. I can relax knowing we are both within the letter of the law

How about we look at this scenario without throwing what could have happened, or what if this or that happened and other possible scenarios.
For many reasons, you had to fire, for whatever reason, you fired, lets assume it is justified. You are at scene, thug buddies start coming up, IMO, get out of there, get on the phone to 911, tell them what is going on, you were fearful if getting hurt by his buddies, and that you will return once the police arrive and 911 tells you that it is ok. The phone call will be recorded. At that point, it would seem things could work out.
Problems with this could be is not physically or mentally able to drive away, due to no knowing how you will react in this high stress situation, hopefully the adrennalyn will help you get out of the area and to safety. Most areas that are bad areas, are known by the police, DA, etc, as bad areas. I would rather explain, even in court, why I left the scene, called 911, returned, then be dead.
As for why you are in the area in the first place, many reasons. 1. You could have made a wrong turn. 2. You could be on your way to one place, and have to go through this place to get there, 3. You might be working or something.
For example, I am an appraiser, I have had to go on one of the worst streets in Memphis to take a picture of a house, Lauderdale at South Parkway, I had my gun out of my holster in that area, lots of folks just "hangin" out. Don't usually do houses, but this was a portfolio of 10 rentals. Also, many industrial areas, require you to drive through the ghetto's. I also appraise church's, they are in bad areas as well.

As for those who wonder what i would do, i would get the hell out of there is at all possible. The legal consequences would be minimal (assume you call 911 and document your actions and your willingness to work with LEO's when requested) compared to a shoot off in the hood'.....Just my opinion
To me, it's helpful to bounce ideas of some more experienced permit holders to verify my thoughts line up with the majority.

short of writing a book, i didn't include this option. Assume its not a option for whatever reason. Not really the point of the post. any resonable person would avoid this situation if possible......but......***** happens
i dont want this to turn into another frontsite post. You cant drive away.....you already fired shots. Now what?

i have played this situation out in my head a few times and i cant come to a solid answer. Therefor, i will ask ya'll
Lets assume you are in a bad part of town. HCP and pistola on hand. We will pretend someone approaches the vehicle with a weapon. You fired on the individual in fear for your life. Threat is neutralized....but....you are in his "neighborhood." We will assume numerous witnesses are around and begin to act hostile. After phoning the police for help, can you drive away from the scene of the crime in order to avoid further confrontations? Would this be leaving the scene of a crime and hurt you in court when that day comes?
to clarify; i dont mean drive 20+miles after the issue. I mean drive away from danger. Prob no more than a few miles. This would be communicated to the dispatcher at the time also.

well....i see lots of geo metro's on the road. To me...thats a high point. It will work day to day if you dont drive it to hard. If i had a interview 200 miles away i wouldnt drive a metro. If my friend told me someone would break into my house tonight i would not sit around with a highpoint in my pocket....JMHO
