  1. [quote name=deerslayer; Most IDPA shooters have carry permits' date=' while many would be suprised to learn how many USPSA guys don't even carry (at least, that is the case locally).[/quote] Must be your local club. I don't know of any USPSA shooters in my area and club, NTPS, that don't carry. Shoot which ever one or both. Neither is a tactical shooting school. It's all about the fun.
  2. I flew Southwest to and from New Orleans not long ago with ZERO issues. Locking pistol case with mags and ammo. Print and carry a copy of BOTH the airline and TSA regs. Basic rule, don't be a problem and there shouldn't be a problem.
  3. The Mayor of Camden is a shooter. He's a regular at NTPS in Dickson.
  4. The Speaker Pro-Tem Lois Deberry is next in line and is just as F#%% as Neifeh. She has to be tossed as well.
  5. First time for every reloader. I had my first while shooting a match. Fortunately the round didn't travel much past the chamber and prevented the next round from chambering. Probably saved my gun and my underwear. I now look at each and every load to insure that it has a powder charge.
  6. What we MUST do is contribute to the campaign of the Republican, or pro-gun Dem, who runs against Boss Hogg Naifeh and Deberry. Those two have to GO! And while we are at it Janis Sontany is as bad and needs to be tossed as well.
  7. Where is the ORSA range? Never mind. Found it on the TN Section web page.
  8. Yeah, but that lousy Russian made "boat" wouldn't float. I heard the fishin' was lousy anyways.
  9. I'm the guy with the TV camera. This is in Khandahar in mid-January 2002. Just a few minutes after this photo was taken, we encountered a pick-up truck full of heavily armed taliban who were making their escape.
  10. Even though my company employee manual says no firearms period. Many, including my boss, knows that i carry. As it's been said before, for most companies it's an insurance liability issue, not an anti-gun issue. Fortunately, that is the case where I work.
  11. Yeah, I'm sure the ballot would say that....... Vote how ever you like. Just remember, it's also a numbers game. A lot of adding, some subtracting, but mostly dividing.
  12. Actually I think McCain has a better chance against Hillary. Hillary brings out the anti-Clinton voters. Obama is newer and doesn't have the political baggage. Also, McCain is not viewed by many to be an ultra-conservative and more of a moderate. McCain is more likely to take some Dem votes away from those who detest Hillary. Hillary isn't likely to take many Republican votes.
  13. That would be your choice. Nothing personal, but a bad choice. Presidential elections are, for most voters, a lesser of evils. Not voting for who ever the Republican nominee is, is just giving a vote to Hillary or Obama. Personally I would vote for Saddam Hussein, before I would not cast a vote against Hillary or Obama.
  14. Coronado Leather makes some very nice, and expensive, classic leather vests designed for carry, In fact their whole line of products is designed for carry. Leave the photog and fishing vests alone.
  15. Welcome, from another Dickson Countian.
  16. Dickson is USPSA only. Our next match is next weekend, both Sat and Sun. Sign-up ends at 8:30

    92fs or P226

Hogman they are both fine guns and you would be in great shape with either one. I have an FS and a 92G Elite. The Elite being my comp gun, with almost 10K rounds through it with zero failures. I have shot a 226 and it is sweet too. We both live in the same area if you want to check out mine and the mods I have done with them.

    92fs or P226

Hmmmmm, I think I'll take the Beretta. The 92 is a solid and very accurate platform, that is very easy to work on and modify for competition shooting. Yes, the Sig is a fine gun, as is the 92.
  19. I'm not on the McCain bandwagon, but he would probably be the guy to do it. He is much more likely to pull the conservative Dem vote than Hillary or Obama being able to pull moderate Republican votes.
