  1. Wifey came up with a question. She wants the T-shirt without the back imprinting...only the logo on the left breast.

What do you think of this? Maybe a different front pattern? Just something near the logo size?

I love the 60's & early 70 Muscle. I wish the owners would put the correct original rims & tires on them. A set of Crager mags are good for original replacement. JMHO.

Yes!! Some of the rims put on great cars today just make me sick!

An "I was there" moment. This is the most angry, formidable looking muscle car ever. If you've never had this roll up behind you on a two lane you can't understand. Had a customer when I delivered newspapers as a kid who had a Plum Crazy with white top, stripes, interior, 440 4 speed Coronet R/T and been in lust ever since. Same year Super Bee is near tie for second place on my wish list.

Agreed! Mopar and Corvette fan mostly, but haven't had a nice car since the late 70s.

Loved the Charger R/T, GTX, and RoadRunners. My best Mopar was a 1970 Lemon Twist Yellow 383 Barracuda. No badging on it. Sneaky little sucker!

As a poor, diehard muscle car lover of all makes and models...I must say that it would be hard to find a sleeker, sexier car than the GTO of 66/67!  Ragtop or hardtop...gorgeous vehicles!!

And this is a great example of this beautiful machine!

  5. You tempt me! You little devil!

I had one in 9mm. Fantastic pistols! Should tame a 40 real well. Somebody please buy this so I'm not tempted any longer!

There's lots to see and do in Memphis! Take a road trip! It's a fine tourist destination. 😁

If my old legs could stand the trip...I might try to arrange something. But back and legs won't stand that long a trip. Plus wifey is getting into some back/hip issues now as well. I don't leave her alone for a trip that long. Probably ok, but prudence is the wisest route for me these days. I couldn't forgive myself if she fell (again) while I was out gun shopping.

But...there was a time I wouldn't hesitate to do so! lol!

So...I'm out on it I guess. Sad. I NEED another one of Gaston's implements! I don't have enough of them!

    No. LOL

    That's in downtown Columbia.

When I was in the parts business, there was a body shop in the next building up the street. I want to say there was a radiator repair service(?) in that corner building back then...1996-2008 for my time there.

Just before the Picker's crew began to investigate the building.

I miss that job and the people I met in Columbia. Knew every car dealer and body shop withing 25 miles. But it sure was a pain to negotiate the roads outside the city proper at times! LOL!

  8. That's a nice working(hunting tree rats) rifle TG! If I didn't have a Marlin I lucked into years ago, I'd be adding a stop when we head to Knoxville soon. Have to pick up an old RCA Victrola Cabinet my brother-in-law gutted to make a bar cabinet. Wife not happy about that. It was hers. LOL.

  9. FWIW...I paid 400 for used piece of crap safe years ago. Lock tumblers came out of alignment during moving to my garage.  Was never able to open it. Still here as a reminder to me. Actually I can't move it anymore with my back.

Don't buy junk. Buy this one NOW! You will not regret it.

Against my better judgement, I went to see Dune 2. Don't worry, this is spoiler free

Let me start by saying... i really enjoyed it.

Let me follow up by saying... I HATE DUNE. I seem to vent about this a lot, but the plot of Dune is honestly mind numbing. It's unrelentingly slow. I tried to read it and I got bored. I tried the audio book, the narrator spoke slowly. Dune is so slow that even killing someone with a knife requires you to stab slowly. It's even SLOWER when they took one book and made it into two full length movies.... the second one was almost 3 hours.

That being said, it's a beautiful film, They found a way to make a bleak desert world really come to life on the screen. The soundtrack and audio were top notch. I will warn you that seeing it in the theater will absolutely wreck your ear drums. At least it did at my location. I shot an AK for an hour or two once without ear pro and besides the buzz that lasted for days, it felt a lot like that (I was like 18, don't judge me).

    Pros:

If you're into visuals, crazy action and love sci-fi fantasy, you could certainly do a lot worse. It does some some Hollywood diversity tropes... but it didn't get in the way of anything. I also recommend going to see it in the theater.

    So the Cons:
Zendaya. Her role is fine. She fufills it, but it's just her being stern like every other charcter she plays. That's in either Dune film. They didn't even have her try to sound exotic. She and her friend in the film are just kinda like teenage girls who do stuff. It's fine, whatever.

Around around halfway through the film, you can almost see the point when they realized they filmed too much and had to make cuts. Again... no spoilers, but there's a part where a character seems to almost instantly teleport from one part of the globe to another while on foot. Meanwhile, another character catches up to them in an aerial vehicle that they didn't have before. Just tada! I don't really care for montages and it suffered from that in several places.

There are at least 450 lingering portrait shots of the main characters. It doesn't take away from the film, but after awhile you have to wonder if they could have cut that out vs something more interesting

There are a couple of parts where a character appears and you're like... wha??? and then they just kinda... go away....

Walken is in it, but he's not doing Walken things. That's almost criminal.

Thanks for the critique. Well done. Still doesn't make me want to go. LOL! Frank Herbert is...well let's just say I can't read him and leave it at that.

Put Walken in every scene and I'd go!

  11. Thought about one for a bit, but decided I like auto-loaders more for 22. LOL!

Some time back I had a Taurus 22lr, in the mid 90s while I was running a sales route. Bought it one day and sold it a week or so later to another customer. Don't really remember any issues with.

But did have a 4" Tracker 22 near 2010 or so. Awful! Couldn't get a decent group from it. Called Taurus CS and they sent a pickup for it. All I can say is that Taurus replaced it without comment. That was strange. Just sent a letter saying it was going to be replaced.

Before I even took it home, I traded it on a 44 Tracker in the shop. Still have that one.

But to your question. I would not hesitate to buy one if I came across it at a good price. I've had good service from Taurus products and their CS. The only other time I've had occassion to use CS was when the Millenium/PT line was recalled. Mine was junked and replaced with a 24/7 Pro model. A much better pistol.

  12. Have 2 45acp revolvers. Love'em...not the "thump" though. Ruger New Model Vaquero with 4" barrel seems to shoot softer than the Smith Mountain Gun. But sure is harder to hold for me the the "birdshead" grip. But sure does look Purty!

  13. Pretty...might even almost say beautiful. But form and functionality must come before beauty when shooting heavy recoil loads in almost any size pistol frame.

I personally, and just my opinion, prefer stock Smith Grips in most cases.

Here...I do go along with your choice.

I'm trying to figure a downside to this 🤔

LOL, I did think it was an interesting story with a twist  I had not heard/seen before. Arguing with dead people in denial was kinda humorous to me. Felt like doing it at time to time at work... 😳

So next time I watch it I'll just close my eyes during those scenes 😉

I admit it, Jamie. It was a rather unique movie. I actually found a copy in a $1 each yard sale. Thought it would interest my wife with Liam in it. After watching, I decide whe wouldn't approve of this one.

I just finished the first season of “3 Body Problem” on Netflix. It’s a very good sci-fi series.  I can’t wait for season 2.

I love asking questions and discovering or having answers explained, so the pace of the series was fine for me. My wife also ask a lot of questions, but she wants immediate answers, so it was a hard no for her.

I've found the awnser for my wife's constant questions during a movie...pretend to be asleep!

Sorry dear, but I haven't been watcing close enough to awnser that for you.
