  1. i too am wanting to get out to shoot skeet again but i have to check the requirements as i have a 20" turkey gun. i know i should get a longer barrel but i believe in practice with what you'll use.
  2. tjconevera.com is a decent place to buy handgun bullets from also. i see my biggest savings with my rifle rounds also. FGMM 168smk loads are about $2/round. i relaod the same stuff with CCI primers, RL15, and LC brass for less than 75 cents/round.
  3. was told by a MCSO Deputy that the City of Clarksville has banned carry in their parks. havent been able to verify at the local PD yet.
  4. i havent made it over to the skeet ranges yet. i wouldnt say they frown on pumps at all as they have a few for rent also. they have the clays. its 5 bucks for the day pass ( they say 2.5 hours but noone ever cares) and 4 bucks per round of skeet/trap. each round is a standard 25 clays.
  5. i reloaded 9mm with 125lrn bullets over unique and federal primers. my cost is $85/K. WWB is $250/K
  6. easiest way is to buy in bulk like 10K primers and 8lb keg of powder. then switch to a lead bullet, non jacketed. missouribullet.com is a decent source. good people to work with but the lube is a tad smokey. i dont mind as i shoot outdoors. my next step would be to cast my own out of wheelweights. can source them for free at several tire shops. local junk yard said 10 bucks for as many as you could et in a bucket, but scrounge them yourself.

    Off to the range

i do have tomorrow off. gotta go be in bowling green at 4 so i may hit it up in the morning for a couple hours.
  8. i totally understand. i like the devils advocate every once in awhile. i just go there from time to time with my wife but there has never been a real draw for me. the food is ok, as is the atmosphere and in a military town, it doesnt take much to get hired on. if i was a younger private id probably go more. i did enjoy it while in florida. the women tend to take better care of themselves down there. but i could see more at the beach and not worry about the ok wings
  9. we used the P90x program for PT sometimes up at Ft. Lewis. one of the NCOs in the HHC bought it. it ended up being extra PT for those interested before actual PT. talk about a rediculous amount of PT. i was pending shoulder surgery at the time so i didnt participate much but it did seem to work for those who stuck with it.

    Off to the range

wish i could get out again soon. MCSC is only open fri-sun and ive been working every weekend for a couple of months. ole Gerty just sits in the corner and glares at me everytime i walk past her. (Gerty is my M1A )
  11. as soon as they get out, they are planning another trip into north korea, lol
  12. i do support their right to choose as much as my own. i have nothing against them doing what they feel is right. i will do the same.
  13. i ended up getting the Scout model. i initiall got the full length Loaded model. i just dont think the socom balances correctly. just m opinion though. i would highly recommend a m1a to anyone.
  14. id also recommend 1911forum.com i am picking up a Springfield Armory Stainless Milspec to build into a semi-TRP pistol. i am going to add the trigger pull kit and thumb safety from Cylinder and Slide and a Magwell/MSH and Grip safety from Smith and Alexander. then have the front strap checkered and Novaks installed.
  15. if i went in in the past, i was usually drinking and it was illegal to carry in a restaurant anyway. now that its legal, i wont go to any resaurant that refuses to let me carry in there. i still wont carry if im drinking but i wont support those who dont support our rights either.
  16. its one of the better ones ive been to. i was driving out to guns and leather in greenbriar last winter for some pistol shooting. ive gotten into rifles more this year and love my M1A. MCSC has a nice setup for rifles and ranges are from 50m to 400m. they have also spent alot of money on their skeet ranges.
  17. hello. i am a new member from clarksville. i really like this site as it is more relevant to home. look forward to hanging around. i usually shoot out at montgomery county shooting complex and have been thinking about volunteering to be a range safety out there. maybe ill see a few members out there.
  18. is there a limit on deer season with a rifle? im going to hunt this year with my M1A.
