  1. yeay for our NEW mayor....;)

Memphis' new mayor, A C Wharton, aims high | tennessean.com | The Tennessean

    Crime?

I am sitting here just looking at my very top-notch priorities; obviously public safety will be number one. That will permeate everything we do. We have already got started with our Operation Safe Community plan, but within that I am going to have a laser focused on illegal guns in the streets, particularly in the hands of juveniles.

That is just an outrage here. I was just looking at the paper this morning and saw where a 15-year-old was shot and killed. They were playing with a handgun.

We've also got tons of robberies and other sorts of horrible situations at the hands of juveniles with guns. It's at an epidemic proportion, and I am going to be proposing legislation next year that will give the courts more extended periods of time to deal with kids who are brought in on gun charges.

We will still have crime but it won't be as lethal as it is now.

And secondly, we won't have as much of it because it's the availability of a gun that turns a coward into a king when it comes to marauding in our streets.

Yeah! Clean up the streets. What a joke! This is the guy who was formerly the Chief Public Defender and one of his big accomplishments was dealing with overcrowding by letting people go.

Herenton got what he wanted in this election and Wharton will win again in two years so basically, we just got Herenton back for at least another 6 years. Yay!

MF!! I love my city and always had a problem with all of the people that gave up and moved away but now I am starting to see that there is no way to win this fight and moving away is the smartest move.

  2. Bare minimum one bullet for every person in your town/city/county. That way, when everyone turns into a zombie, your covered for your immediate area.

    :D

I agree but... You haven't seen Zombieland have you?

    Rule #4: DoubleTap

Following the rules of Zombieland, you will need at least two rounds for every person!

  3. CMMG from top to bottom. The lifetime warranty was a big draw and talking to them on the phone made me a fan of their company. But I've got some accessories coming from magpul and knights armament as well as a few others.

  4. As a pure investment, I can't see you making any money with something like a glock. Generally, investment pieces are going to be something that is numbered in a special run or one offs. Something like the Camp Perry edition 1911 and M1A from Springfield Armory.

  5. Into the Wild was a great book.

I know that I am bringing this back up after almost a year but I have to comment on this. Into the Wild is a great book and great movie. And I really admire Chris McCandless for what he was trying to do. However, his own arrogance was what killed him. By not taking the map with him and being afraid of water, he pretty much sealed his own fate. I still wish, though, that I could talk to him about his experiences.

  6. The ruger is system (from my understanding) is however unique in that it can close off the gas system completely to allow single shot firing. Check out gunblast.com's review or the downrange.tv review for some good information on it.
