Hey, maybe New Willie will give Willie a job....?....You heard it here first;)
New Willie will push consolidation and if he succeeds, Old Willie will resume his former position of School Superintendent.

Crime?
I am sitting here just looking at my very top-notch priorities; obviously public safety will be number one. That will permeate everything we do. We have already got started with our Operation Safe Community plan, but within that I am going to have a laser focused on illegal guns in the streets, particularly in the hands of juveniles.
That is just an outrage here. I was just looking at the paper this morning and saw where a 15-year-old was shot and killed. They were playing with a handgun.
We've also got tons of robberies and other sorts of horrible situations at the hands of juveniles with guns. It's at an epidemic proportion, and I am going to be proposing legislation next year that will give the courts more extended periods of time to deal with kids who are brought in on gun charges.
We will still have crime but it won't be as lethal as it is now.
And secondly, we won't have as much of it because it's the availability of a gun that turns a coward into a king when it comes to marauding in our streets.
Yeah! Clean up the streets. What a joke! This is the guy who was formerly the Chief Public Defender and one of his big accomplishments was dealing with overcrowding by letting people go.
Herenton got what he wanted in this election and Wharton will win again in two years so basically, we just got Herenton back for at least another 6 years. Yay!
MF!! I love my city and always had a problem with all of the people that gave up and moved away but now I am starting to see that there is no way to win this fight and moving away is the smartest move.

What does a "run in the Zombie Zone?" Are they going to have the rooms opened up with moving targets or what?

Man this sucks. I was planning to get a GSG-5PK next year. I guess that's not gonna happen now. I certainly don't have the money to buy one today even if I could find one around here. Just my luck.

The ultimate 5 must haves:
1. my guns
2. your guns
3. his guns
4. her guns
5. their guns
Thats funny. I was going to go with something similar.
1. big guns
2. small guns
3. medium guns
4. quiet guns
5. tank

Bare minimum one bullet for every person in your town/city/county. That way, when everyone turns into a zombie, your covered for your immediate area.
I agree but... You haven't seen Zombieland have you?
Rule #4: DoubleTap
Following the rules of Zombieland, you will need at least two rounds for every person!

I have heard bad stories about the SCAR's that are trickling over as well. There is NO foolproof perfect weapon for the conditions and fighting scenarios that our servicemen are fighting in.

Its whatever their standard a2 post is. I don't really know.

Yep. 16" barrel with a Mid Length gas system.

CMMG from top to bottom. The lifetime warranty was a big draw and talking to them on the phone made me a fan of their company. But I've got some accessories coming from magpul and knights armament as well as a few others.

As a pure investment, I can't see you making any money with something like a glock. Generally, investment pieces are going to be something that is numbered in a special run or one offs. Something like the Camp Perry edition 1911 and M1A from Springfield Armory.

Will any of you be there Saturday night as well? If so, I would come to this even just to meet folks.
I'm more of a Saturday shooter so I might be there on Saturday. Friday nights usually aren't good for me.

If I had the money, the Henry 100 years of Scouting .22 would be mine. Beautiful rifle. It would look great on my wall.

Into the Wild was a great book.
I know that I am bringing this back up after almost a year but I have to comment on this. Into the Wild is a great book and great movie. And I really admire Chris McCandless for what he was trying to do. However, his own arrogance was what killed him. By not taking the map with him and being afraid of water, he pretty much sealed his own fate. I still wish, though, that I could talk to him about his experiences.

Their full automatics are available for rent any time.
And I see Genphlux is "currently viewing this thread." Maybe he knows some more about the event!

This could be a ton of fun. Sadly, I have already planned my extra money for around that time for a garand. I'll just have to see what things look like closer to April.

I hope that they actually have the Zombie targets in stock for this. The past few weeks, they haven't had any and haven't been able to tell me when they will get any.

Still have some stuff to buy and Im waiting on a few things to come in but at least it looks like a rifle now.

Well it got here today. Not exactly what I wanted but but my rail will have to wait. Here are a couple of pics I snapped at lunch.

Aim surplus has one cent shipping alot of the time.

The ruger is system (from my understanding) is however unique in that it can close off the gas system completely to allow single shot firing. Check out gunblast.com's review or the downrange.tv review for some good information on it.

Stephen,
The steel cabinets that I have seen at Bass Pro seem to run about the same price as the ones that I have seen at Sam's, Dick's, Tommy Bronson's, etc. I am thinking about running up to Gander Mountain this weekend and will let you know if I see something cheap up there.
