  1. Anyone have one of these? I saw it on AimSurplus today and it piqued my interest. I looked around and it looks like a really neat little revolver. I'd love to hear some first hand accounts of them.

Also, if I decide to buy one, I'm a bit leary of buying something like that sight unseen. Is AimSurplus trustworthy enough to purchase from without having held the revolver in my hand?

    Thanks guys!

  2. Just ordered a DPMS trigger assembly with pistol grip. So the project moved a bit faster then I thought...

Hows the build going? I bought a lower over the weekend and am ordering my LPK tomorrow. Ill have a complete lower before the end of the month but the upper is going to take a little longer.

  3. Thanks guys. I bought this gun second hand and it didn't have a manual. It's difficult navigate the web from my phone so I will download the manual when I get to work. Also, it doesn't matter if it is an empty mag or a loaded mag. I can drop the mag out, load the mag, pull the slide back and lock it with the slide lock lever. Place the mag into the gun and drop the lever. The slide will move forward a fraction of an inch but will not close. It will not close no matter if it is an empty mag or a full mag. I will just call them on Monday and get it sorted with them.

  4. That's the way they are supposed to work.

    Empty mag locks slide back.

That's not what this is. The slide lock lever is in the down position. Something else is holding it back.

Donfromtexas, thanks but I don't need your opinions about the gun. I haven't had a problem out of it before now and for the price I paid, I can't complain at all. This isn't a thread to bash the gun. I want advice on how to fix it. Thanks anyway though.

  5. I've got a little HiPoint C9 that Ive had for a few years. Never reallyhad a problem out of it. Well I'm planning range trip tomorrow and was going to take it but while inspecting it, I noticed something odd. Something is locking the slide back when the magazine is in the gun. The slide lock is down but the slide won't budge forward unless you drop the mag and first pull back on the slide. Anyone else had this happen on a C9? Should I just send it in under the "no questions asked lifetime warranty" and if so, how do I go about shipping it to them?

    Thanks.

  6. I have a 10/22 that is nearing its 35th birthday. I love this gun. But for as long as I can remember, it has had these chips in the finish of the receiver. I know my dad bought it new and I inherited it when he passed but I shot it all throughout my life. I really want to do something about these chips. What are my options on this? I have heard that Ruger powdercoats the new receivers. Is this true? Could I tear it down and have it blasted and powdercoated?

    Thanks

  7. It may as well have. A co-habitant bought it for themselves but I will get much more use out of it than they will.

I have previously owned two XD's, an XD45 when they first launched and an XD40 both of the service variety.

  8. I'm new to the world of scopes. I can use them but have never bought one or owned one. When I read the power and stuff, I see gibberish. I have a 35 year old 10/22 that I would like to start using for longer shots at the range. What would be a good CHEAPISH scope to throw atop the Ruger for some 25-50 yard fun?

Thanks in advance for any advice!

  9. When I got home from work last night, a new XD-9SC was sitting on the table waiting for me! I LOVE XD's. Saturday will be my first chance to put some rounds through it but I can't wait. I'll be sure to take some pictures too!

  10. Hero-Gear is about 5 hour drive, but I have considered driving out there once I get close to buying a lot of parts at one time.

Please let me know if you want to go. I want to make the trip and I'm trying to talk Shorty into it as well!
