As far as Olbermann I do not know much about him but when he called Sarah Palin hateful and a fear mongrel for bringing up death panels I no he was way off base and not being honest. that is one thing I don't like about Olbermann.

I would think carry permit laws are something a street cop needs to know so he want get himself are someone else killed. You can jump up and down all day and say Mark was bating the cop, but if the cop knew the law none of this would have happen. At the beginning of it all the cop sounded on edge what if a car backfired at that time? Boom dead man not braking any laws. Cops are paid to think would it be a good idea if you see someone walking down the street with a gun in a holster not bothering anyone, you should get backup then stop him and ask questions. I watched the the one with the flashlight gun. At the beginning of the show the owner came in and looking at the foldout pellet gun and said that can't be real and acted like he had never seen anything like it. If he really has not ever seen anything like it he must live in a box and I would not let him touch a Red Rider BB gun. I really think he has seen one and he just flat-out lied about it and if that is true he would have no problem lying to some one about a gun.

I got this back in the 80's and the barrel was split down the middle. It took about a year to get another barrel for it. Could not get 2 land rifling all I could get was a GI replacement with 4 lands. Had a friend back home cut and install it for me. Found all new GI wood and put it together. I can keep about a 3 ft. group at 1000 yards. a friend of mine kept 8 out of 10 shots in a 11 in.

This thread got me to thinking and I am going to introduce my kids to John Carpenters The Thing for Halloween. I remember going to see it at the theater and thinking that was the first and only movie that ever got under my skin. When the head fell of the table and sprouted legs made me want to get up and find the light switch. I really thought about building a flame thrower after that movie.
