Ok so my order came in today and will follow up with pics once my red dot comes in. -Oh and I have just experienced first hand why American made tools are better. An American made 3/32 Allen wrench will actually fit a 3/32 sized screw unlike a cheap Chinese made set I had laying around that seemed like someone just said, "Meh, close enough!" and shipped it. Grr...

At least he was trying to improve. I think you'll find that many people, not just officers, don't take enough time to practice and work on their basic shooting skills. This is why I only trust myself for my protection but still appreciate what officers do for a living. As for the rambos and ninjas out there, I've never been one for the spotlight so I'll keep my Kahr in my pocket and my eyes open and let them take all the Aggro if anything goes south.

Near Miss for a Tennessee Handgun Instructor

I would say that you hear about more Glocks just because there are more of them out there. That and their lack of fully supported chambers. -

Not targeted at anyone in particular but thought I'd share this... So a lady walks into the pastor's office to discuss details for her upcoming wedding. Pastor: So I see that this will be your fourth marriage? Lady: Yes that's correct. Pastor: And I also see that you're planning to wear a white dress? Lady: Yes that's correct. Pastor: Well that shouldn't be a problem but most people choose to wear a dress of a different color on their third or fourth weddings. Lady: Oh I can assure you that I am as chaste as the day I was before my first marriage. Pastor: I see. Do you mind me asking how that is possible? Lady: Well, my first husband died of a heart attack right before our wedding night. My second husband and I got into a huge fight in the limo after the wedding so we had it annulled right there. And my third husband was a democrat so all he did was sit on the edge of the bed and talk about how good things would be but never did anything.

It'd be cooler if they did it while wearing lederhosen. That'd make a great picture!

I got a Ruger Gp100 recently and am looking at mounting options for scopes and red dots. I've seen this No Drill No Tap option from Ruger GP-100 Scope Mounts No Drill and have read good things on other sites, but wanted to get opinions from folks here since I trust them more. Any thoughts or other suggestions would be welcome. My main questions are "would it be as stable as a drilled and tapped mount?" and "how much height would it add overall?" Oh, and I am not totally opposed to drilling and tapping my Ruger, I just didn't want to if I didn't have to. Thanks!

Don't know why but this statement made me picture a screaming monkey flinging poo. I wonder how someone'd react to that?

That I don't remember.

I'd rather take a bullet for defending myself than take a bullet for just standing there doing nothing. I'd put as many into him as I could and move away from him at an angle while doing it.

Yeah...probably gonna go with that one.

I know no one's probably that interested in hearing about my dream last night but I had to put this on paper for posterity. I promise I'm not eloborating or making any of this up. - My wife and I have been tossing around names for our baby coming in May and I like Barrett, yes because of the rifle. I'm also into music so here lately I've been helping a kid at our church with her flute practice. Mix all these things bouncing around in my head with my general love of firearms and a good heavy meal of beef stroganoff, an hour before bed and you get a dream where you're playing a .50cal Barrett like a flute in front of a concert hall full of people including the small details like having to unchamber a round before any sound will come out, which is obviously a rookie mistake right? I mean, everybody knows you have to have an empty chamber before you're .50cal "flute" will play. Sheesh. Anyway, that's all I remember so what's the verdict folks? Am I too far gone or can my subconcious be saved?

While I don't believe animals have souls like humans, I do believe God will make it possible for us to enjoy them again. Although I'm not entirely sure my Weimariner was sent from Heaven or Hell sometimes! Hope this helps. In Revelation 5:8-13 all creatures recognize Jesus as the Savior of the world and praise God right along with redeemed men. In Psalm Psalm 145:-9-10,13,15-21 God loves all His creation and has made plans for all His children and the lesser creatures to enjoy His eternal Kingdom. Romans 8:21-22 says "Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now"
