  1. I love the older Smith and Wesson Revolvers, Pre trigger lock. I called Smith and Wesson a few years ago and begged them to build me a 686 Plus with no trigger lock installed. I even said I would be happy to pay more money if they wanted to consider it a custom order. They refused which broke my heart. I love the new Model 19 Carry Comp revolver, so I called them again and offered to pay more once more they refused, that just reinforced my love for the Colts I would love to see a picture of your Python, man do I love the old ones!
  2. I felt the exact same way before buying my King Cobra, I rolled the dice and bought it before ever seeing one but after having that for a while the Python Combat Elite came out and I knew I would love it. I think once you put one in your hand you will agree with me
  3. I was excited when I heard the Blued Pythons were being released. I am not a fan of the long barrels so 5 inches is about the longest I would want. There are many pictures online of the new 4.25 Python that show two rib vents I have attached a snip it. I spoke with a Colt representative who confirmed the one in the picture is not what you will be buying, it has 3 Vents, for lack of a better word. She also told me that for the Python line they intend to release all barrel sizes that are offered in stainless. I currently have a King Cobra 2 inch stainless, and a Combat Elite Python. I will soon have a second Combat Elite and a 4.25 Anaconda. When Colt releases the other Blued Pythons, I will more than likely pick up a 3 and a 5 inch. If Colt would have made the 4.25 like the original, or the new one pictured here, I would already own one. In my experience these Pistols are amazing with one Flaw, the rear sight. Wilson combat makes an excellent replacement rear adjustable.
  4. She said the whole line up will eventually be released in Blued but could not give me a time frame unfortunately
  5. I spoke with Colt today and was told a 3 inch Blued Python is on the way, Now I know more will be in my future, I love the new Colt revolvers
  6. I am putting a Wilson Rear adjustable and a Harrison Design Green tritium front sight on this one when I get it. The Stock G10 grips are excellent for a carry revolver and the sights will make it perfect
  7. Screw it, I'm getting a second one and leaving the stock grips on that one, Folks the Combat Elite Python in my opinion is so good you should have two!
  8. I am getting my 1895 SBL 45 70 from Kentucky Gun Company
  9. new Grips, damn I like these much better I have a similar set coming that will go on my 4.25 Anaconda
  10. so after 2 days, yeah my favorite pocket knife, just a smaller version of the Fullsize auto Adamas in this amazing marbled carbon fiber and a magnacut blade so sharp my wicked edge is not needed
  11. they clean up nicely, it is far too fun to not shoot and just just keep in a safe, I had a couple of 1911's being built, I put on hold in lue of my new addiction I think I will pick up at least 1 more Python maybe a 2.5 inch
  12. So I just ran 3 cylinders of Buffalo Bore .357 through it and, I am in love! the weight calms the recoil enough to make it managable, much more than I thought it would. I will zero my sights later but was able to put all 18 bullets on the steel plate at 10 yards, so I am happy. I will put a bunch of .38 special Gold Dots through her to zero it in. I absolutely love the Wilson sights and I think the Gold front sight is the best I can have on this revolver The only negative comment I can make about this when it came from colt, the rear sight, the Wilson is leaps and bounds better and an upgrade for Pythons and Anacondas that I highly reccomend. I intend to leave the Orange front sight on my upcoming 4.5 Anaconda but already have the adjustable rear waiting for it.
  13. Mike Heffron has this and my soon to be 4.25 Anaconda on a 2 year wait list for his signature series Ultra tune to make them world class revolvers. In my opinion these are some of the finest looking wheel guns ever made.
  14. Wow this thing is amazing. I was convinced I would hate the G10 grips so I ordered some wood ones. These grips are staying they are amazing and fit my hand like a glove. I installed a Wilson Combat adjustable and a Gold Dot Wilson combat front to replace the Night Sight, this was a big time improvement. 5 star Firearms make the Speedloader equipment pictured with my New Colt. I will shoot the crap out of it next week and let you all know what I think
  15. Understood, but they carry many knives with much lower prices as well
  16. The thing that made me want it the most, I love the idea of the Magnacut blade, Benchmade is one of the companies that heat treat Magnacut steel correctly. I have had S110V, M390, S90V, all of the super steels and Magnacut heat tempered correctly will have better Edge retention, strength and Corrosion resistance to any of them. Magnacut is supposed to be harder to corrode than Spyderco Salt blades, this and the Carbon Fiber made me pay the hefty price. I loved my full-size Adamas autos, but always wanted a Mini, I will be shocked if this will not become my favorite carry knife If any of you are familiar with Devin Rob Thomas Damascus steel, Devin is a friend I met several years ago at blade show, his son Dr. Larrin Thomas created Magnacut steel and is the one who told me Benchmade knows how to properly heat treat it.
  17. I forgot to mention the Magnacut blade steel was the Icing on the cake for me, I know I will love this knife
  18. So being a Protech dealer and Benchmade as well as others over the years: Protech has always had the Best firing, most torque automatics. Benchmade once I put a TR3 Spring on my AFO2 became my favorite knife. The Benchmade Adamas as mentioned before is a Tank. The Mini Auto Adamas I have coming I expect to be my all-time favorite knife. Benchmade knives in my opinion, are well worth their prices. Spyderco makes an amazing Auto Knife as well. When you are talking about OTF Automatics Gavin Hawk and his brother make the Deadlock which in my opinion is worth the money. I however have a hard time spending nearly 2k on a knife when there are still so many guns that I desire.
  19. Yeah, that was hard for me to swallow as well, but I love the carbon fiber and wanted it soo...
  20. I have been awaiting this knife since I first heard Benchmade was planning on releasing it. I just ordered it from Benchmade Knives: 2730-03 Mini Auto Adamas - AXIS Auto - Marbled Carbon Fiber - CPM-MagnaCut (knivesshipfree.com) In case you all are not aware, these fine folks are now located here in Tennessee. I will post pictures and give you all my thoughts when I get home.
  21. I will be getting a small break, just a few days off of my offshore Project, So Saturday the 27th I should pick up my Python Combat elite. I have the Wilson Combat Gold front and rear sight and I have some special Walnut Altamont grips coming that I think should make it much more to my liking. I will update once I have her and shoot her and let you all know what I think. My 4.25 Anaconda I will pick up at the end of my offshore campaign.
  22. I have Wilson Combat Rear adjustable sights, with a Gold Bead front waiting as well, I am doing the same on the 4.25 Anaconda, I feel the only thing they got wrong with the new revolvers are the sights.
  23. I will have my new 4.25 Anaconda along with my Colt Python Combat Elite, when I get home from this trip. I can’t wait to have these added with my King Cobra Snub nose I absolutely love the new Colt Revolvers.
  24. Do any of you own one? I will be getting mine when I get home from this trip. I know the new Colts are not liked by everyone but I am a huge fan of them
