  1. hey i hope this works also, it looks a bit uneven from the picture, but i trimmed it up and it sits perfectly even, im going to rough up the bottom and cut some felt to fit so it is safe for the hardwood floor, not that my floor is that nice to begin with, but you get the idea.
  2. edit: i mean I built a table, and sorry for pic size i don't know about all that. Found a lot of pieces of driftwood at out Centerhill Lake started my first construction project on them... need to find a good stain for the top. any constructive help would be great. I tried a clear(ish) coat on them to match all the #2 pine i used to build the cabin out there, but I think it looks awful with the driftwood color.
  3. more government-made problems for small businessmen? sorry to hear about the troubles.
  4. congrats! Looks good. one of these days i am going to have to get me one of these ebrs...
  5. i like it, sometimes the crayon method really stands out, more so when you see than in pictures. I guess i like the crayon method on the M&P 15-22 because it is a bit toyish to begin with, but on the XD the nail polish looks pretty darn good. nice job!
  6. you want to check out the rimfire central forums for some work on the P22. a guy there m1911 has really detailed info on the p22, and apparently there is a lot of work to be done, i hear one of the biggest is grinding down the trigger bar ears, but i think there is a huge pile of things to be done. 7. thats kind of what i figure with my yarn eventually you get right up on it and figure out what it is.
  8. I rarely tell this tale because i feel a little crazy in saying so, but I will go ahead because it is the internets: So I was driving with my dear mother from Franklin out to Townsend (the maryville area), we have some land out there and don't visit it often enough. oh by the way, this was about 2002. So we are driving on 40 and somewhere past Crossville maybe near Rockwood, and between these two hills that were on either side of the highway something moved from behind one of the hills very quickly, and for how low it seemed it moved very quickly relative to planes and things that seem to loom in the sky more than cut through it, once it had reached a place between these two hills it just stopped. it was this long rectangular thing with rounded edges. A bit like a candy bar just hanging there in the sky. It was metallic but not lit up. I ask my mother, "are you seeing this?" she says, "you know, i think i am" So we have slowed down considerably on the highway and are just kind of staring at it wondering what it could possibly be, and another car pulls up next to us, he rolls down his window and says "what the hell is that?" and of course we explain that we have no idea. Thinking for some reason I'd like to see it more closely, (figuring it was one of those things you stare at and think "well what in the hell is that?", and then you realize it is a pencil type situation) I drive on up the road, till at one point a cut off rock face blocks my direct view, when I come around a bend maybe half mile further it is no where to be seen. Still have no idea what it was, if i was alone i might have thought i had just been seeing things or something but since it was confirmed by others, who knows? Was it aliens? I doubt it. but it was flying. or at least floating, I have seen a good number of balloons (and this was a nice summer weekend) but the way it moved was unlike anything I have seen before or since. Honestly it could have been anything. It is difficult to describe. Btw I voted yes, but not because of this story but because of the vastness of the universe.
  9. i like it! don't shoot those RGBs...
  10. Not mine... but it has a dinosaurs on it?
  11. oh you mean my Gen3-G30SF? Germans; ridiculous... like audi or mercs names at least those are ascending order? they like letters plus numbers.
  12. all of them in DC are bought and sold. i stopped paying attention years ago it will add years to my life...
  13. a friend did it for me once with decent results using a foam board style press... i just need to get back into it... always impressed with how these things turn out.
  14. oh man that is nice holster you got there, i really like it. hats off gregintn... i always wanted to get into leather work but i don't have the talent.
  15. well i have to save up a bit of cash before i am getting my next anything. i guess i have time to mull it over... i guess as with anything everyone has their own taste, except for the few times something is superb or terrible... the price on it is really enticing, not that it would be for carry or anything. but something for the range.
  16. Anyone know much about the Taurus OSS... The price is not so bad I was thinking about giving one a try. ?
  17. Some folks on Rimfire sware by putting a spot or two of oil on the ammo and sloshing it around in a bowl or something and say it runs like a dream after that... I don't own one, and wouldn't want to own something that wants you to oil ammo before you feed it... New Sig Mosquito owner - Page 2 - RimfireCentral.com Forums

    Walther G22

I don't see myself that interested in one. I like my 10/22, and it does just want i want for a plinker... and it is better looking.
  21. SavageSig, I have had my eyes on that same one. I am just waiting for them to work the kinks out just like the P22, which I also thought I'd comment my wife has and loves. If it were me id look at the ruger mark series... but if it is for her and you want her to enjoy shooting let her pick what feels best in her hands.

Well I didn't search so I don't know how much this has been talked about. My brother bought one and he says he loves it. He lives on some acres out in East Tennessee and hunts squirrel zombies. He says it is very accurate and likes the bullpup design. He said he got his in OD Green, and has yet to put any optics on it. I have yet to see one in person and I won't be able to shoot it. I think it is ugly as sin but he is a .22 fanatic and if he likes it maybe there is something to it. He also thinks it is a very good looking rifle, but I suppose as usual that is "to each his own" thing. oh btw, I read it back and I can't shoot it because I am left handed, which sometimes is a real pain sometimes I get hit in the face with spent brass from others, which I can get over, but I think on a bullpup the bolt might do some real damage.
  23. My wife wants a pink digital camo p22. I don't like the idea of a pink gun as I think it takes away from the seriousness of firearms, but... getting her what she wants usually translates into me being able to get myself something I've been looking for... I'll let you know how I like it, but like I said in the intro don't hold your breath as I am in China for another 10 months...
