    S&W M&P headache...

Looks like brownells is out of stock on their striker assembly as well. They have plenty of striker spring guides but I guess that wont help ya. Midwayusa is scheduled to have them back in stock 1-24-10 according to this link Smith & Wesson Striker Assembly S&W M&P, M&P Compact 9mm Luger, 357 Sig, 40 S&W - MidwayUSA

  9. I have looked into his classes however, I feel I can get as good if not better elsewhere for alot cheaper.
  10. They have been out on glocks for a while now. THey are for whatever reason just now making them for the xd though.
  11. I will get me one of these in march for my birthday. I had been wondering when they would come out. Id have to have a gun smith do it cuz I dont want to be monkeyin around with any of my stuff. I reckon it would be well worth it though.
  12. To hurry mine up a bit I said basically that I would hold the State of Tennessee and the DOS legally, and financially, responsible for anything that happened to my family during the "issuance" period as I could not legally protect them without the permit. THat seemed to speed things up quick fast and in a hurry.
  13. Very simple, Do not stay out all night. I regret how much money I wasted in my younger years "going out" heck I could have bought 454545454545454 4444 guns by now.

  15. Springfield Springfield Springfield Springfield Springfield Springfield Springfield Springfield Springfield Springfield Springfield Springfield Springfield Springfield Springfield Springfield Loaded or TRP personally I would get TRP if I can afford it. I have shot a trp and in my opinion Kimber just does not have a gun that can cut the mustard compared to the TRP.
  16. Saw the sigs in the recent issue of the American Rifleman they look cool. By the way, nice Springer.
  17. Speaking of alarm systems I used to work for Brinks Home Security in Knoxville. Motion detectors were the biggest pita known to man. You could have cobwebs dangling from the ceiling and it catches a glimpse of it and bang it goes off then you got cops comin out and then there is noone there and they get pissed cuz you wasted their time. Also, motion detectors measure surface area and not mass/height/weight. So for example a spider crawling across the motion detector is going to have a bigger surface area than a 5 ft 11 man at 6 ft just keep that in mind. My advice would be keep the motion sensors deactivated or dont get any at all because the windows or doors will trip when they come in. Also, avoid glass breakage detectors, they are very sensitive. If you have a dog that likes to stand at the winder and bark at strangers guess what the GBD will go off and since that is an emergency zone even if you cancel the alarm the cops are liable to show up anyways.

    Sigma .40

I had a Sigma 40ve myself for a while it was my first handgun and I used it to qualify for my handgun carry permit. Miraculously, I shot well enough with it to qualify (Imagine that). After about 1000 rounds through the pipe it started to have feeding issues where the bullet would get hungup between the magazine and the feed ramp. I had predator custom shop in knoxville polish the feed ramp and polish the sear, trigger bar, etc. They got the trigger pull down from a GOD awful 12 pounds to a smooth crisp 7.5 pounds. After that I still had failures to feed so I replaced the magazine springs with some +5% more power springs from Wolff to give it a little more umph going from the magazine up the feed ramp. This cured the feeding issue in its entirety. I recently sold the sigma about a month ago and purchased me a Springfield XD 40. The Springfield is a much better and much more accurate hand gun. Personally, I would not trust my life with the sigma after about 1000 rounds. People say yeah if its dirty it will jamb. That is true however, I cleaned it religiously before shooting, then immediately after shooting and still had the feed issues after 1000 rounds until the feed ramp was polished and the magazine springs replaced. By the way, Predator only charged 45 bucks to do that work which I thought was reasonable. I contacted smith and they would have only been able to get the trigger down from 12 to 10 pounds. I have an electronic lyman trigger gauge as did predator and both read 7.5 pounds consistantly after they were done with it. Jim Ruiz is the man when it comes to working on Pistols in the Knoxville area. He touched this Sigma and made it great when everyone else avoided it like the plague.
  20. I read the manual on one of these and it says there is no need to adjust it should automatically for the most part line up with the front sight. I reckon we will see when I get one.
