  1. new sights were dead on. Gunsmith at Shooters depot did a great job. I put about 250 rounds through it
  2. Their prices are astronomical but their service has been ok. I still can't get over a Romanian WASR for almost $600.
  3. Wow $800. I think I will wait for a while until the demand begins to decrease. besides who knows if there will be a recall anytime soon.
  4. I think it was $35 or $55. But I am leaning towrds $35
  5. I will definitely let you know

    Ruger SR1911

Does anyone have any idea where to find a Ruger SR1911?
  7. I had a gunsmith do it at Shooters Depot
  8. Bought a Rock Island CS a while back. Replaced the GI sights with mil spec 3 dot sights. Gun looks great, I might get a chance to shoot it this weekend.Git the sights from fusion firearms http://www.fusionfirearms.com/servlet/the-746/1911-Colt-white-dot/Detail
  9. I did see it. It was pretty awesome. I respect Larry Vickers and what he has done for this country, but there is soemthing about him that rubs me the wrong way.
  10. I have the RIA GI and CS (officers model). They both shoot ball and HP's with no problems at all.

    worst rifle ever!

I would dig it out and send it to MKS. They have a lifetime gaurantee. Give it a chance, both of mine work great.
  12. That is awesome. The Rock island is the best bang for your buck. I looked at a few Kimbers. I am just not going to pay that much money. I could get two RIA's for what I pay for 1 Kimber. If you research the RIA's the majority of people love them. The Customer service is second to none.
  13. ditched the old grips and put some nice checkered walnut grips. Picked up a bianchi paddle holster. We are good to go. This might be my everyday carry gun.
  14. Also I have used Kimber, Colt and Chip McCormick mags. All work fine. I shot some Dirty Tula ammo to try and gum it up. The little thing just kept going.
  15. Local shop near me.
  16. Bought a RI 1911 CS the other day. Took it to the range and put about 300 rounds through it. Not one single malfunction. Absolutely love this gun. If you are a 1911 fan, you have to get one of these. It has the GI sights. Put some glow piant on the sights and they work great.
  17. you might want to look into a Del-ton as well.
  18. Lock and Load Monday sucks. 3 gun shows and two hunting shows (predator quest and long range pursuit). Outdoor channel on Wednesday rules
  19. Warren, the owner, is a little dry. He did right by me with some trade in I had. They are not the cheapest around but they have a pretty good selection.
  20. no negatives
  21. That show suck's. Hardly any ammo. Half the guns look like they were found in a river. To many knives and beef jerky.
  22. I am from NY. Believe me the place sucks. Left 20 years ago and neverwen back. Stay in the free state of Tennessee.
  23. I have three del tons and they are flawless. They were one of the few companies that did not screw people over before the 2008 election. Prices have been constant. They have excellent customer service.
  24. Sold it to a guy who wanted to change the front sight tower to a flip up.
  25. Bought a ZM4 upper with canted sights. I sent it back, they sent me another one back with canted front sight. Sold it. Will never buy from them again. On top of this the person I talked to was not surprised and even said she was telling people to send them back and they will fix it. My thought was goodness how many have been sent out to other people that are like mine.
