  1. I would say $ 450 is what they can buy one new for so about anything under that. 450 for private party sell is what I have seen them for in like new shape.
  2. That Hard Chrome Grey grip Keltec always looks sharp.
  3. I hope there isnt any truth to this . I think it is a step in the wrong direction.

    Bill of sale...

Im more cautious of wanting a bill of sale when I buy or trade for a gun. I have heard more horror stories of buyers than sellers lately. Most recently a guy TN resident who was interogated by ATF for a gun that sold in Florida and he had it in Tennessee. Gun was not stolen but with all the drug/weapon trade the ATF had questions. The ATF guys I have worked with laugh and say its almost always a Sig or Smith if its not a $100 through away piece. I have also heard from ATF guys that it is a common believe that a lot of guns reported stolen may have serial number s reported wrong. I found one of my keltecs was one digit off from the box it came with for example. I see many reasons to have a simple bill of sale. I have asked ATF guys and they say they dont really care if you have a bill of sale though. They know when someones telling BSing. They ask for email copies now a days if you can give them and if you have contact information for the buyer.

    SIG p250

The sig p250 does have a keltec like trigger but maybe a little smoother. Nothing wrong with that though but handle one first and at least dry fire it some. If you have a lot of time with the xd trigger it may be hard to adjust. I have heard holsters for the p250 are few and far between currently.
  6. Im a very happy 4th gen 19 owner. I dont like 45 gaps if for no reason the the extra heavy slide. I would do a 36 before a gap. A 19/23 I believe has more going for it in capacity/energy ballistics balance.
  7. I never got a card with my MP school or my police academy.
  8. I don't wish to carry one but I have wondered. If I'm a POST Certified police officer not employed but I have had the training am I covered? I've had two classes of instruction before. In my opinion you would be a lot better off with a can of OC.
  9. I have a lot of friends that went to the FAM program, and though none of them were there in the introduction of the 357sig round, it is said that the idea was it was a round that meet multiple needs and when put in the hands of a skilled marksman matched there precision skills. Pre 2001 the few Air Marshals mostly had S&W 9mm and even some various revolvers. Mosltly 38spl but a few 357 or 44spl were at one time issued. In 2006/2007 it was requested that a lighter handgun than a 229 be issued and the old saying "Its not the Devil that you know but the Devil you don't know" came about. There request for a small Glock or Sig 239 got them the Sig 250. If you ask a FAM what they think about there 250's they will say the issued firearm is the least of there worrys. If you have ever been a part of a organizition that is ran by a bunch of idiots that have never done the job that there governing you know what I mean.
  10. Ive read over this post and want to start out by saying that I have had at one time a Glock 32, Glock 23, and a Glock 19. I can tell little recoil difference in the three and the backyard penetration test I have done doesn't make me think 357sig is any different than a 9/40/45 If I was in your boat I would have no problem carrying a Glock 32 over the PF-9 when possible. I wouldn't even mess with the 40 barrel because you will have to shoot over a thousand rounds to make the cost offset. A 9mm barrel would pay for itself faster. I have had some specialized training on the 357sig round and I like it for reasons other than its a "fast" or "hot" round. It's a extremely flat shooting, reliable feeding round that is built on a casing that can allow for a projectille that can penetrate light armor or one that can strike with a lot of inertia. I have seen shelves at stores be completely empty of all pistol ammunition except 357sig.

  12. If your military retired military or disabled mil. S&W is giving a $50 rebate on most,of their handguns.
  13. If i were set up to reload 9mm and not 5.56 I would go for the 9mm, especially if the initial purchas price was close to the same.
  14. Optimal 9mm AR barrel length? - M4Carbine.net Forums lighter bullet would need the longer barrel I understand. Ammo manufacturers/size may be different.
  15. Im not so sure that with a 9mm your not getting 95% of max veloicity out of a 4.5-5" barrel. I say that because I believe it has been brought up before.
  16. An old Army buddy of mine was telling me about his and I couldn't quite grasp the concept of why one would want one. I think about the usefullness of one vs a Glock with a 33rd mag. It seems a 5.56 round will slice through a lot more than a 9mm would. I would love for someone to bring up a good reason for it though.
  17. [h=2]Colt ID 38spl GG Grandmothers[/h] Anything other than a Colt? It bears no name just serial numbers. Where there any Colt Knockoffs? I believe it has been refinished. http://i428.photobucket.com/albums/q..._/IMAG0182.jpg
  18. If you ever decide to quit messing with it, I would be intrested in it possible to build a shodow box for my Dad as he loves those things.
  19. Davis / Cobra will replace it no questions asked. It doesn't matter if your the 20th owner.
  20. If you want comfort try a OWB holster on the inside of the belt, it pulls it tight and close to the body. I'll get a pic. http://i428.photobucket.com/albums/qq10/seacapt_/IMAG0187.jpg Invalid URL- I have more trouble off this forum than all others put together.

    S&W Sigma 380

The firing pin is a major weak link. Just shoot it until it's broke and then send it back.
  22. I have researched it a lot and have developed the same opinion.
  23. With a extended High Capacity Clip!
  24. My wife works for Suntrust and they don't have postings and nothing is mentioned in company policy even about employees carrying.
  25. Not bad at all. They were about 65-75% condition of new. probably saw 10yrs of riding around in a patrol car only being taken out a couple of dozen times.
