  1. Same here. And we've also had a glass top stove for years, works fine. Just don't drop them on it.
  2. It takes the mother, father, and the rest of the village. There are many factors involved. I've also seen this in the news. Maybe not the 6pm TV news, but I haven't watched that in a couple decades.
  3. Deer sausage, chicken, zucchini, and squash on the blackstone Friday, if that counts. I'd really like to fire up my WSM, just haven't had the time. Last thing I did was turkey and other stuff for Thanksgiving.
  4. Bump because the tomato thread reminded me... Our garden is just weeds so far. It's either been raining or we've been busy, and now it's going to be stupid hot. I'd like to get a few of the usual suspects going, but I've gotta dig out the weeds first. Hope y'alls are in a better state.
  5. As with the others, visit you local farmers market. It's still early to get fresh tomatoes, even the local stuff is still likely green house grown. We've grown lots of varieties, my wife got on a heritage kick a few years ago. They all tasted good, but the plants don't yield as much and can be kinda finicky to keep happy. The hybrids at the box stores are lower maintenance. Seedlings can be hit or miss with the heritage. Too late to start seeds unless you can grow them indoors. Cherokee purple was one of the better choices. They can get really big but are prone to split. Amish paste are good if you want to make sauce and can it, similar to Roma. Cherry tomatoes are really tasty and very prolific. A couple plants makes lots of tomatoes. Mr Stripey and Brandywine were good. Others we've tried.... Black Krim, Mortgage Lifter, Abe Lincoln, Homestead, German pink/yellow, German chocolate, ... there's lots.
  6. Dood... no way.
  7. Take it apart, use heat, and hang it in a way that it will drain. The black plastic bag method will get the bulk of it. Be patient. Brake cleaner, Dawn dish soap in really hot water. Then you'll need to oil everything so it doesn't flash rush.
