  1. I have selected 4 COFs requiring 104 rounds to complete. Nothing big and not much movement, but alot of rounds down range. I have one where all shots are sitting down, couch potato special, what more could you ask?

  3. I use them in my IDPA loads, soft shooting. They work best with slower burning powders.
  4. Just a heads up folks, MCTS has IDPA matches on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays and Gallatin Gun on the 2nd Saturday starting at 9:00. Also NTPS shoots USPSA on the 2nd Saturday and following Sunday at 9:00 and 12:00. both days. Find a local club in your part of the state and join the fun.
  5. Don't forget about the gun you walked away with, playing in the mud pays off.
  6. come play in the mud, it will be held, rain or shine
  7. I have loaded 10,000 9mm to date. I use 4.6 of titegroup with a 115 gr. bullet loaded out to a length of 1.120 for FMJ. I also use a Lee final sizing die that gives it a taper crimp. Also if you go to a JHP their OAL is around 1.100 because it has no point. My perfered load is a 124gr JHP, WSP, 4.2grs of HP-38, oal at 1.100. I get a 128 power factor or 1047fps out of a Glock 34.
  8. I am sure the rule makers did not invision such a creation.
  9. 5.1.10 Handguns with shoulder stocks and/or fore grips of any kind are prohibited. This may cover it, also mag can be no longer that 171.25mm.
  10. Walk ups are welcome up untill the match starts.
  11. Music City Tactical Shooters will host a IDPA Trophy match on May 3 2008. 8 Stages, about 128 rounds. All day event, bring your own lunch. Restroom on site. Plaques to the top finishers in all IDPA classes, also plaques for LEO, Senior and top lady shooters. A S&W Sigma 9VE will be given away after the match to some lucky shooter. Match starts at 9:00 AM sharp. $40 entry fee. Match is at the Adairville KY range.
  12. If you want, we can reshoot that stage 3 on the classifier, it gets a lot of people. Did you see where me and you finished on overall scores Saturday.
  13. I have run 25k of my reloads thru my G-35 and about 15k reloads thru my G-34. no major problems. I only shoot my reloads in any of my guns.
  14. For the brave of heart, put on your boots and Drive up to Adairville KY for a IDPA Classifer match. We have lost a couple of matches this year and must get this Classifer in. The Red River Fish and Game Habitat will be having a pancake breakfast from 6:00-9:00AM and a fishing on the lake untill noon while we are having our classifer. Like I said bring your boots, It will be muddy. COF will require 90 rounds min. You may classifer with more than one gun. Each extra gun is $5.
  15. If all you need is 1K, buy them from the local dealers. If you want to buy 50K check with Powder Valley Inc. on the internet. They will ship 48lbs of primers under one Hazmat fee. It will bring the price down to around $22 a thousand.
  16. The top shooters I have no problem with, It is the newer shooters that would show up that would cause safety problems. Also parking would be a problem, just better to do it another weekend. Charles, I have 2 other matches next weekend.
  17. The shotgun/pistol match for March 8 has been canceled. I will save it and run it another month.
  18. March 8 shotgun/pistol match is canceled at Gallatin gun club. I will save the stages and will shoot it on a later date.
  19. Note: I will be watching the weather. I am in a job that may require me to be at work if a heavy snow hits. I think the ground temp. is high enought to keep snow from sticking on the shooting pits. I will post here if the match is canceled. Cold temps. and wet ground will not keep us from shooting the match.
  20. Kemp; The first stage will have some leeway on how the shooter engages the targets. It will have a mix of steel, paper and clays. Shooter will have a loaded shotgun and pistol at the start. Paper must be engaged with pistol, steel and clays, what ever floats your boat. A table will be inplace for stowing the unused gun. Stage 2 will start with shotgun and finish with pistol. Stage 3 is shotgun only.
  21. The match starts around 9:00AM on Saturday. It will be cold so dress warmly. Match fee is $15. Any one may shoot. Just show up at the gate and someone will let you in. I usually check the gate every 15 mins. Another member usually comes thru and lets people in before that. Or you can get up early and follow me in and help set up at 7:00 in the morning.
  22. I have posted the stages for the March 8 shotgun/pistol match. Go to www.gallatingun.com click on forums and match info. round counts are 27 shot, 8 slug and 46 pistol.
  23. I require head shots on some COFs. I have even required some weak hand head shots. The IDPA classifier has 9 required head shots. Or you can just hang the target upside down. If some Bg has body armor, shoot for the eyes. Their are many reasons for head shots. It may be the only shot you have, BG behind cover.
  24. Rick; I just finished the 1/19/08 scores and passed them along to the webmaster. You will be glad to know you are settting on top of the list.
  25. If I can get the score sheets from Jim, I can post the scores, We may have to hold his guns until we get them.
